Thanks SourSmoker.

As for your questions...

1) Been growing for about 15 years now,off and on.Started with 2x 4' dual bulb fluoro shop lights and outdoors. After a year I bumped up from the shop lights to a 430w HPS in the same space (a 2x4 section of a 2x8 sliding door closet)...then I had bought a pre fab cabinet from HD (2x2.5x6) and slapped a 400w HPS in there with a 4" 170cfm exhaust fan. After that I designed a lot of custom cabs and built a few of them and used them...all using a 400w HPS.I have designed and used perpetual cabs with a 400w bloom section up top and a fluoro veg/mom/clone section at the bottom and vice versa.Haven't grown in a few years so I decided to try these tents out and bought a 3x3x6 SJ DR90II.Not bad for $200,pinholes IMO are not a problem (so long as tent sits in a lowly lit room or better yet pitch black room).I like that they are quick to put up and just as easy to tear down in case of emergency too...and all the wood that goes into making cabs can get pricey depending on quality of the wood...and they're heavy, you have to use caster wheels to move the damn things, even when empty, and they take a lot longer to build/tear down.

One day when I have enough money to do everything right I may switch back to a cab or two,but built so stealth, not even wooshing of air can be heard.

But in all reality,I'm looking at going bigger and sticking with vertical.Just going to take time & $ which also takes time lol.

2) Uhhh...yes/no/not really sure.

One of my grows under the fluoros,I was gifted 10 Orange Bud seeds aling with 12 SSH seeds from a kid a few years older. They were not in breeder packs but the ones labeled Orange Bud sure smelt like citrus/oranges all throughout flower, and when dried you could roll a pinner blunt and all you could taste was orangey good citrus! But other than that grow, yupp, just bagseed, and I've had pretty good results doing so...don't understand why peeps knock bagseed so much...sure you may get hermies, sure it may be a shit cross, sure you never know what you're going to get...but there is the possibility of something very magical coming aling too....I'll get a little Forrest Gump on ya's...Life is like a bag full of random bagseed, you never know what you're gonna get...just as in life there is good & bad-happy & sad,and every once in a while something magical happens.

I do plan on working with genetics bought from seed banks/breeders like Fractal's Strawberry Diesel F3,possibly some of Rare Dankness' genetics, some CSG stock...thinkin' bout picking up some of Hammerhead's GDP x Querkle he sent in for the server fund too.But there will always be a place for bagseed in my life.

3) No not at the moment, sorry.I know I can get better pics with my cell cam,it's just all about lighting, focus, shutter speed, apperature, and keeping my hand and subject I'm trying to shoot as still as possible.Right now I think lighting and steadiness are my two problems, there is no source of light to illuminate the plants (so the camera recognizes and can focus on what you're trying to shoot) in the room other than the HPS (no one likes HPS glow un the pics). Before the last two plants come down,I will do my best to get a light source and get better pics.In another month or so I'll be buying either a nice digital camera or decent digital SLR camera.Other than that, some of these pics ain't too shabby for a 5 MP cell cam with flash.

4) Yes I flushed, but differently then one would normally do in soil.I just stopped feeding around day 47,didn't do a 3x water to amount of soil in container, continuing with water till end...I just stopped feeding all together and started jyst plain water from then on.Next round I'll go back to a good 3x water as there is soil initial flush, followed by last 2 weeks nothing but water.Any samplers I took have evenly dried and burn to a nice white ash,no harshness to the smoke.

5) Yes I have considered going all out organically ammended soil over bottled nutes for my grows (I do use organic only outdoors on my veggies/fruits/herbs)...I did try it once but did not like the results too much...there was noticeably more flavor and aroma, but the finished product weighed less...don't get me wrong more aroma and flavor is nice, but I can settle for slightly less aroma and flavor for a little extra yield. But I usually flush so well that all you taste is the natural flavor of the bud followed by a nice earthy goodness.

Hope those answers help you buddy...if you have any more just HMU.

1)Nice man I'm in a cab right now, but if you remember my thread from a few weeks ago, I'm thinking about buying a tent. cabs are cool but like you said, unless it is ULTRA STEALTH, they are kinda pain in the ass.

2)yeah man I hear ya there are some gems to be found in bagseed! some of the elite cuts out there now were found in bagseed! I would DEFINITELY reccomend Hammerheads GDPxQuerkle. I bought a pack and popped 2. 2 Females, 2 slightly different phenos. Makes me wanna buy another few packs just to see what gems are in there!

3) the pics aren't bad at all for a cell phone, but as soon as you start takin pics with a nice digital cam, it will be such a noticeable difference. I start borrowing my friends fancy cam and even with my shitty photo skills the pics still come out looking nice. deff invest in one when you can.

4) good call on the flush, i run organic so i don't technically have to, but i do the same thing you are doing. just plain water at the end, instead of flooding them with 3x normal water. I don't like that idea too much. guess it makes since if you are using nutes...

5) All i gotta say man, is the simplicity makes it worth it for me. I don't care much about yield because all of this is getting smoked by me and my close ones so I'm not too worried about how much I can produce, I just want it to be top quality.

Oh and one thing I forgot to say last time...those plants are beautiful but I noticed some burning on some of the leaf tips!

Not hating at all, cuz everyone has done it before, just saying, be a little more careful next time if you're still using bottled nutes.

Plants look amazing by the way!

This is my first time using GH nutes and my first time using the Lucas method,to which I understand is a base starting point in N-P-K-Mg elemental ppm's as suggested for cannabis by Mel Frank which has an N-P-K-Mg elemental ppm of 100-100-200-60.The lucas method is nothing more then, again,a base starting point to figure out your individual plants or strains needs. For some the Lucas formula is too little, for others it's too much, and others just right...it's a starting point to use and then custom tailor to each individual strain.I believe the cause of my leaf tip burn is more from laxing on my behalf...I usually flush each container with 1/4 strength nute solution every 2-3 weeks of the plants entire life cycle to avoid any toxic build ups of salt...I wasn't so good about that this time.

Next round will be much much better, not only because I'll be mono-cropping with cloes of the same size from the same mom,but I'll be doing a flush with 1/4 strength nute solution every 2 weeks like I normally would to prevent any toxic salt build ups that can show up/affect things in flower.I may also use some supplements/additives as well like liquid & powdered koolbloom but paying attention to reducing micro and bloom to keep ppm's around 750ppm as suggested by DHF.I'll also be toying witheventually cutting out micro all together around week 6 for 8-9 week strains and week 8 for 10-11 week strains.

Thanks for lookin' out though!

Thank you.

Well there childhood was a little weird so Idk if it had any influence, but they were started 12/12 from seed to determine sex...then they were revegged big enough to take clones from... then flowered again lol

Neither one of them were all that stretchy but I also didn't let them veg that much and kept em close to the light so there was really no where for them to stretch to...

The one had WAAYY more side branching then the other, which made it hard to train for me, as I am used to growing SOG style.

Like I said it is hard to tell because of their crazy upbringing lol but I have one clone of each in flowering now, so hopefully that will give me a better indication of the differences...

The original plants are on day 53 and the clones are on day 24 so I will keep you updated.

right now the less branchy one looks like it is the winner tho...

The buds looks nice and frosty and has good density, I will be using the same nutrients as you in coco with a 400w, but I want a led also so I might get that eventually.
I'm hoping for a result like yours but with a higher yield (using a 120 tent and going for more light the yield should be do-able if i dont screw up the plants.)

Good luck it's not going to be easy. For a begginer I would say shoot for a .5 gpw as that's a respectable yeild for a begginer/first time grower.

Day 70 looks way sick delicious, are you more of a pistil, trich, or combo for signs of a maturity

I'm a combo guy...key points of harvest are...

1) Pistils turn from white to orange,to a dark reddish orange/brown,the calyxes swell and the dark redfish orange/brown pistils receed way back into their respective calyxes.

2) Trichomes under a 60x to 100x scope are 90% Milky/Cloudy and 10% Clear or 90% Milky/Cloudy and 10% Amber.

3) New pistil growth slows to a hault.

NOOOOICE pull, I plan on running a vert tent of Fractals Strawberry Diesel F3 if I ever find a spot to grow. Jones'n for a grow.

Thanks bro.

Yeah I remember your first run with Strawberry Diesel F3's and looks like a great strain for a vert setup...still interested in getting some of those beans myself.

Refresh my memory if you could kindly do so...

How many of them did you run and how much phenotypic variation did you see?

ROUND 2!

ROUND 2!

Watered/fed the three big ladies in 3 gallon GH Cocotek Coco hempys with 2ml each Coco A and B per gallon of water which gives me an EC of about 1.6/1.7 since my tap comes out @ .6/.7 EC

Trimmed the tops off and removed the reflector to go bare bulb vertical once again. Will be giving them a day or two and switching to 12/12.Hopefully temps get and stay a little cool at night because it's 72°ambient temp in the Apt. tonight.

Last two clones finally rooted out of their rapid rooter plugs and I transplanted them to some Canna Coco and fed with 2ml per gallon of water each Coco A and B pH'd between 5.5 and 6.0

Scrapped the 3 big plants.I decided they had been through too much stress throughout their lives to even bother flowering.

Clones have been in Canna Coco and under a 400w HPS for eight days, being fed 2ml each of Coco A and B per gallon of water,pH'd between 5.5 and 6.0

Btw guys my bad but this not being able to medicate has really fucked with my head.

I am not feeding 2ml each Coco A and B but rather 2 teaspoons each A and B per gallon of water, which is 10ml each A and B.
