i used to germ in paper towel and it's a great method. BUT

...i found a much better and easier way. just get a small glass of water, i use half filled shot glasses. put your seeds in the glass and dunk em at least once to get em wet. just push em under the water with your finger. in about 24-48 hours they should all have cracked open and shown their tails. bam! soon as you see they have cracked open, the instant you see it's not a whole seed anymore drop it in dirt no more than 1 inch deep. water a little bit right in the hole to keep it moist. like no more than 1 shotglass full of water around each hole. then wait. should all be up in a couple more days.

sometimes they might take a little longer. found this little guy in the bag of soil i mixed up. found it as i was transplanting one of it's i believe siblings which are 5 weeks from seed now. it's either a seed i thought didn't germ and got mixed back into the soil, or it's a random bagseed that fell in there.

Looks good, did you produce the cross?

Yes, I have the parents. The female is from seeds found
in an LP in my storage unit. From 1979.

The male is from Delta 9 Labs, Ed's cross of a sensi star
and nycd.

I grow in coco hempys and like it very much. As a hobby
grower nothing could be more basic and ready steady.

JUST PLANT IT ALREADY!!

You are on page 5 and asking questions that you could answer yourself by doing a simple search. Canna nutrients have been covered extensively on this site. All the information is out there if you look. I think you are making this more difficult than it needs to be, despite all the posters here helping you with solid advice.

If you are worried that the canna line would be impossible for a newb, I suggest that you look into a water only organic soil mix. It will save you from taking ph readings and mixing nutrients in different ratios depending on the stage of growth of your plants. When water only gets too easy, then you may want to try your hand at making tea to feed your soil.

Not trying to be a dick but I hate getting to page 5 only to see that you are no further in the planning than on page 1.

put yer nutes in the closet and use some composted manure in yer soil mix, and use water only, water when the pots feel light, dont over fuckin water , dont fuckin fertilize, ITS A WEED . trying to teach ya now to save years of coughing and subpar puff . serious here, dont over complicate it and ya will be amazed, then ya can share the knowledge. the extra 2 grams of yeild isnt worth the shitty green cough bud ya gonna HAVE . grow them already
^ignore this
whats the difference between a weed and a plant??

I would like to thank anyone who has contributed to the thread, I have chosen to go with coco and will be using GH floramicro and florabloom.
So hopefully good times are ahead people.

Stihg, that sounds even easier than germin the seeds in a baggie, I will try both methods to see if there are any differences.

Wish me luck people.

dont weed out all the thin leaf plants, they are always best and the biggest yeilders, i like a sativa growing plants with huge ass indica nuggs, growing from bagseed ya will find those hybrids pretty easy, i never kill plants i just find a spot in the grow , small containers fill in space, also small pots tame sativas.

hey shawk, thanks for ur reply. You mean you grow for example like 5 plants in 1l containers or so beside your real grow? This would be cool but it also makes it much much more worse if i were to get caught for having them, but I think I will try this anyways. If you saw it a few pages back I got a hold of Mazari femenized and Black cream auto feminized, I will be growing 2 black cream's and 3-4 Mazari's, but the plan was to maybe sprout some of the bagseeds also, it would be nice if I got a healthy female, but getting a male so I can make my own strains/seeds is also up for consideration. btw I dont know if you read it in this thread already, but im doing a coco grow instead of soil, hopefully sprouting the seeds tomorrow, just waiting for my coco and nutes to arrive, wich will be tomorrow or monday latest. :)

I'm in the minority here, but bagseed wasn't a good experience for me and looking way back,I should have went right to a good seedbank. For one thing,I had no idea about any history of the plant whatsoever, unless its a known bagseed. Both grows left me with gangly trichome challenged sativas that weren't worth a shit and took decades to flower. Then I bought some seeds and went in knowing a little bit about the plant, the descriptions can be really helpful especially to a new grower

DrBagseed, everybody's all fired up on your other thread, outstanding.

Haha yeah, this one is a bit more relaxing

I have put two bagseeds in rockwool and 3 Mazari's and 2 Black Creams in coco plugs, I hope I wake up with some plants above ground level tomorrow :dance013:

There's absolutely nothing wrong with doing what works best for you..
And like I said earlier, if you wanna grow GOOD weed from bagseed, make sure the seeds came from a GOOD bag...

yea ive started 4 plants in a pot before, cut the males out . and yea i like to fill in spaces with plants in small containers , yea the numbers go up, but ya have more variety and then yer weed palate will explode into unknown territory.its hard to taste the differences when ya only have a couple of kinds. its easy to control the canopy and have it level with multi strain grows. just takes a few pinches and crushes , ties, whatever. hope to see some nugg in this thread before summer !

aight cool, might make some miniture hempy buckets and do the same with some bagseeds. variety is always good and there definitely will be space for it.
Hopefully I will have some nugg in 2 months if the Black Cream goes as planned, so there will maybe be some a long time before summer :dance013:

My most fun grows were ALWAYS with bag seed.
There is such joy in watching the mystery unfold.
One of the true great joys in life.
Go for it , and enjoy the ride !
