Early Amnesia (Belgiums pride)

Dear ICmag friends

After winning the first Belgian cannabis cup, the 'gouden gieter', with his Traincrash; THC123 has a new strain that I'm about to review.
So bare with me, its gonna be a long review, but worth it!

After several years of testing to find a phenotype that would be something in the range he wanted, he finally told me: "its ready, want to put it to the test?"
I was very pleased to have a go at this strain because I test smoked her a few times before and there was lots of potential in this gene pool.

The aim was to see her perform in a greenhouse, no nutriens, full organic style and no light deprevation techniques.

So, enough bladibla, facts and pictures now!

Enjoy!

5) Grow report

Very easy strain to grow.
It uses a lot of phosphorus and potassium.
The growth is indica in the first few weeks of veg. After that, she streches out and forms amnesia-like shoots.
The internode distance is very good and short all together.
She needs a lot of care during the first 5 weeks of flowering, because she flowers almost 10 weeks, it takes a long time before the buds and resin fully develop.
He likes super cropping and recovers easily after an injury. Spider mites do not like her scent, but some types of butterflies might be attracted.
From week 5 on, she develops a very dank and spicy smell. (hard to contain).
This plant is best harvested when the resin is slightly more amber, because she will develop new and clear resin from week 9 on.
Trimming this plant is easy because the bud formation is golf ball-like.

The one plant I tested had a yield of approx 1800g, so that was very good. Thanks to the resin infested buds, and compact structure her weight per cm3 of bud is high!
The trichomes seem to limit themselves to the buds and there is almost zero coverage on the sugar leafs.

All in all, very nice strain to grow, to smell and to watch!

6) Smoke report

Looks:

Amazing bag appeal. Round buds, full of silver and gold trichomes. Big orange hairs and a lime green color on the leaves. Very compact nuggets. Very high calyx-leaf ratio. Small but abundant trichomes covering the calyxes. The calyxes have the almost pointy-teardrop-like looks of the Amnesia, while the bud form is inherent to the Manitobe.

Smell:

If you take the famous Core-cut from the Hypro Amnesia, think about that particular smell, minus the lemon. So a full blown and peppery haze smell comes forth. Added with tiny hints of flowers and blossom.
But all in all the smell makes me think of szechuan pepper, very special.

Taste:

The taste is like the smell, peppery and haze. More old skool than new.

Effect:

Instant effect. High, heady, spacey, psychedelic (although less so than the Amnesia). Also a bit of body. Not a smoke for beginners. The high is strong and long lasting, the body effect sets in after an hour, and lasts only 1,5 hours. But the high is persistent from start to finish!

Overall:

This strain is a keeper and will make a good name in the future, I'm sure of it. The Amnesia has a worthy little sister it seems to me. Very special and worth your while-strain. A big thank you and a cuddos on a job wel done, THC123!

Hey how's it going?

What's the current situation with the MJ scene in Belgium....A friend has an outdoor space that they have offered me and I was thinking about relocating?

What's the chances of getting out there and what's the laws at the moment ?

Any info is great...

It's still as two-faced as it's always been. They recently busted a cannabis social club, took away the pot every member, including medical patients, had been waiting on for months.
You most likely won't end up in jail even with big quantities(if it's your first time) but the randomness is insane.
I got fined €250 for smoking in public(apparently next to a school though), another friend only got his pot taken without further consequences. And that was 75 grams, and he was dealing in public... Rolleyes.

Hey sprinkl

Thanks for that really appreciated...... Will ponder this move....although there are plus sides to what you say...hypocrisy is the recurring word that I comes through in nearly every country when we talk about a plant that some people love and some people hate that some people love.

Just as Sprinkl said: a lot depends on the cops that bust you, if they bust you.
A lot will depend on up and coming federal elections in May of this year. If we get a right winged conservative government, you can forget about relocating. With a more liberal government however, there are opportunities.
