No home grows,no vote from me...fuck it time to go to Colorado I guess.

baby steps man. even in cali where no one wanted to vote for the bill that passed because of the downside... look at it now, you can have like a whole elbow on you and if you ain't got that card you just get a ticket.

here in sunny flaUSA you go to jail min 1 year if they find enough trichomes on your clothes to run a test and determine it's THC. come on man don't be that way, we need you. baby steps...

@morcheeba, reason i signed on besides it being a step in the right direction is that between all the legalese pretty much everyone can get weed if they want. 6veg and 6 in flower. covers all the shit i suffer from. we all suffer from...

but shhhh. don't let any of the cons find out how loose the language is and lets pray the judge(s) on the SC are pro weed and don't hammer that shit down for being too 'loopy'

i was confused on what exactly we are voting on and i have thought it was NO home grows at one point. then while i was researching for the language of the law to be voted in i saw several areas that outline patient plant count but that was from SB1250 that never got brought up so i apologize for any confusion i created by posting any patient plant counts.

the ballot initiative does not allow home grows.

it did, I was confused as to what was getting pushed forward and the ballot initiative doesn't allow home grows like sb1250 but all I know is I will continue to grow.

peace
Let me get on the soapbox here for a minute.

Hopefully after the amendment is passed the Legislature and the FL governing body will be proactive and realize the amount of money that will be missed. Hopefully a review of other states will provide another view so they don't have to recreate the wheel.

If you look at other states that have Medical available (CT missed the boat). Maine for example allows a caregiver to have 6 patients and grow 6 plants for each. There is a fee for a licensed caregiver (FL will allow caregivers but not grow for their patients, and Maine I believe has a fee for each patient a caregiver has). If a FL caregiver is not allowed to grow for their patients why would they even consider being a caregiver? Lost money by the state. Maine also only allows 1 dispensary for each county at a cost of $25K per year as I recall. The people I know in Maine (I grew up there) either do not have a dispensary opened at all or their hours of operation are very limited. The State makes more money from the caregivers than the dispensaries. Also the caregivers are NOT allowed to sell surplus to the dispensaries (only donate it to them), the caregivers are providing lower prices and better options than the dispensaries. As a patient where would you purchase your meds from if you lived in Maine?
Florida politicians need to be educated on the money aspect, we all know money talks.
Who is better educated right now? The people who need the meds, they will seek out the best option for them. We all know the insurance companies will not provide any RX money to be put into MMJ. Where will the seniors be purchasing their meds? Word of mouth will point them in the right direction when the time comes.
End of the soapbox thank you for your time.

us seniors are and have been growing our herb for decades...legalization to me will do more damage than good in my eyes...I'm much rather see it decriminalized...

I still don't see what you are all so excited about...IT WILL STILL BE ILLEGAL TO GROW YOUR OWN!

Also, the penalties for growing your own will probably be stricter...SMH Florida, don't blindly vote that's how we got Obama ffs!

ez JNUGG,

I could say the same to you morons voting it down.

just look at what voting prop19 has done for cali. it has given the opposition the ammunition to start outlawing grows. now a 5x5 legal grow cramps most but it would be legal that they may not be able to eliminate but w/ further activism it could have been increased.

im not excited about a no-patient grow but im illegal right now and if they write a regulatory structure that prevents me from growing my own then you may see me arrested for cultivation of cannabis as I proactively advocate for a patients right to grow.

getting locked up isn't something I look forward to but im fucking tired of not being able to call for help if I fall out of my chair just b/c I grow cannabis and moving to med-vill is not an option and I doubt I could afford the amount of meds I need each month.....hell @ $150 oz I would be coughing up $600 / mo and who thinks it would retail at $150.

Well Morecheeba, don't let me see you whining about how it fucked everything up,and now you're doing more time for cultivation since the penalties of cultivation will more than likely be more severe after ya'll vote this in.

Don'tvrush this shit, make sure it's being done properly (WHICH IT IS NOT!)!

shit, maybe i'm confused? i thought the one this lawyer guy was backing was the one where you can be a caregiver and be allowed to grow for like i can't remember the exact number but i believe it was only like 3-10 maybe not even that high, but it covered everything from chronic migraines and cancer to chronic pain like back and joint, and also allowed 6plants, veg/flower.

that was the only part i thought i was confused about cuz it doesn't seem to specify whether they mean 6 all together or 6 flow and 6 veg. but even still i think i'll live with the 6 plant max. not like i'm gonna actually follow that shit same as i'm not following the weed laws now. but ya know. seemed like a good bill to pass when i was reading it over.

bro I don't whine about shit......I make a stand full well knowing what the outcome will be and if people don't make a stand in the face of life changing consequences then NOTHING changes.

Baby steps folks, baby steps. It was not that long ago when the mere thought of Florida going medical was pure fantasy.
I for one will ALWAYS grow my own meds, it's in my blood and it's my passion. I'm voting for all those people whom don't have the know how or $$$ for equipment or are too disabled to cultivate there own. It is THOSE who stand to benefit immediately. Us growers will have to wait our turn.
I urge you think of your fellow man, those less fortunate. I've meet Cathy Jordan, and if my vote can help someone like her then put me down.

Besides, my patients aren't going anywhere. No dispensary can compete price wise, nevermind quality. It's business as usually for us Outlaws
