Those are beauties

Thanks TrichyTrichy!

Purple Nurple Slurple badurka durka... aww Durka! Great JOB Gary!!!

Durkadurkadurka...Durkajihad!

Ya just made my Friday... looking great Mister !

Thanks! She's a bee-yoot, and I've got another mondo Nightmare veggin' away, fixin' to get outta hand, but I'm really hoping I can run something shorter next time. This 85 days sh*t gets old quick.

I got a few things rooting, and if I don't f*ck those up, I'll have some Deathstars and a mystery variety, both 9-10 weekers. I can live with that. :) Otherwise, I may just throw the Nightmare bush in next anyway - and let the just-rooted bunch hulk up for another 90 days..

Yes I do! Nice thing is xmas has past, and ole D is smoking on some purple nightmare right meow  A yodeling banana told me some things chemically and toothy sweet are starting to hold very tight to their coconuts

HOLD ON TIGHTER! AND FASTER! :peacock:

Well this is f*cked up. You're smoking on the Nightmare now, and I (for the first time in 2+ years) ran OUT of my Nightmare?! I'm over here living on Deathstar and my G pen - not always a recipe for a chipper morning

Well, the end is nigh for most of 'em. Gonna fell the big branches on these broads this weekend, then drop the light down and let the lowers get some lumeny lurvin' too.

Hey, question. I generally buy my gear bigger'n I need, and now I'm wondering about replacing for effectiveness, etc.

In my modest 3'x4'x6' space, I've got 440 CFM suckin' through a 6" x 24" filter. It's probably 12-18 months old at this point. Definitely ugly lookin', all linty and filthy and sh*t.

a) How often do y'all replace your scrubbers?

b) For a space that small, how much smaller'n that do y'all think I can get away with? Filter size, we're talkin'. If I can shave some size down, it'd be much appreciated.

I don't find that it's ineffective, though I'm always proactive (and not reactive) on that kinda thang, y'dig..?

:thank you:

I would change the filter. Their life varies, but generally after 12-18 months they're ineffective. Replace it before the neighbors next to your neighbors are asking questions... ;)

If run nonstop I replace every 9-12months. Or when someone comes over and makles a face

Hey y'all, anyone got any experience with in-line carbon filters?

I'm a little skeptical (can it be "as good" as a reggalar?), but it would free up some space in the dumb cab.

Holy crap batman, I like to support the local guy, but I'll be damned if it means paying 50%+ more than I can find online.. :dunno:

Local business is great and ill support if I need something last minute, but I usually prepare and ensure that stuff is ordered before I need it

Just get a normal 12in phreshie filter and call it a day

Last/current one is a Phresh 6" x 24". Thinking about another Phresh, this time 6" x 16", but will probably end up with the 24".

My thoughts are both will probably work, but the larger one will almost certainly last longer. No experience with the inline type though.

Same thoughts here. :)

Next up - anyone have any experience with Phat? It's the only (one left, even) reasonably priced item in the spot.

Otherwise, it's mail-order willie, which I'd prefer not, but. :shucks:

Chewing on it s'more - the in-line gimmick would actually free up valuable real estate in the cab.

Gotta go do me some readin' - if it compromises the effectiveness of the scrubby, then no worky. :chin:

I like the idea of building one myself. (properly sized instead of having to buy and make due)

1/4 inch plywood, flanges, some screen. Fill with charcoal.

Full customization...unscrew the top, dump out, n' refill as necessary. Easy shit.

@ silver- I just went and did a bunch of reading, and looking for reviews on the inline filter your talking about. I couldn't find an actual review of someone who used an inline fan and described how it worked in terms of taking away the smell. From what I did read though, it seems like it would work. I guess the kicker is you need to have a fan that creates enough pressure to force the air over all of the charcoal. In the same paragraph they say you don't want too big of a fan because you will be blowing some smell right past the charcoal. So for now I guess it's one of those trial and error products for the consumer to decide if it works good enough in their system. Not much help, I know. If I was you I would give one a shot, and see how it does for a day or two. I would have an "old reliable" filter just in case they are bunk. Oh yeah and this, For that kinda money I would let R Kelly fart in my dinner tonight.....spray fart!!

Hey warmcharlie

Can you elaborate? I'm a little confused by "installed at exhaust."

Right now, the chain/run goes filter --> fan --> silencer --> out the chimney, sixty feet in the air!

If the inline gimmick works, that'd mean fan -> filter/scrubber -> silencer (if necessary, I'm thinking the filter should baffle quite well on its own) --> out the chimney..

(Also another thought - if the filter is inline, does it matter if I'm pulling or pushing through it? That is, does its placement before or after the fan matter?)

Jack Handey never contemplated anything this deep.

Handy Jack your uncle off a horse??

I mean if you have room meow, i was unaware of chimneyrig, chain -> pre filter-> reflector-> silencer-> scrubber ->chimney. Higher flow rate filter bc they i believe are designed as pull not push. Sounds good in theory on wheed!!!
