ARREST WARRANT

At least on this end of the country, many counties have searchable databases for legal infractions within that county. I don't know what the chances are of someplace in 'Bama being online with that information, but it would certainly be worth the effort to check into it.

good point rives
if it is available you need to check in with the clerck of the court in the county the warrant was issued,
not sure they'll post an active warrant but worth looking into

Talk to a lawyer or research to figure out which states reciprocally extradite with Alabama. Then, avoid traveling to those states. Finally, take it easy under the radar and enjoy the divine evolution of life 8).

Much love and blessings,

As an Alabama native I recommend finding some safe place to hole up and definitely don't go back to "face the music." Statue of limitations is irrelevant because this country will be in WW3/revolution by the time 7 years is out. Take that to the bank and cash it.

You have gotten a few gems and mostly dangerously bad advice on this thread.

First, condolences on their(your?) hardships man.. I think in our lifetime all this shit will be over and full legalization will be realized. I think our children, and theirs, will look back at this prohibition as the corrupt and immoral joke that it is.

But you didn't post looking for someone to pat you on the back..

Completely forget about hiring a Bay based lawyer. you NEED and I mean its NOT AN OPTION, NEED a local lawyer in Alabama. In every instance that I am aware of the lawyer must pass the local bar exam. This makes California based lawyers effectively worthless to you.

HOWEVER, a local lawyer that you trust may be able to REFER you to someone that will do right by you out there.

Local attorneys are obviously familiar with the local regulations. They can also be familiar with specific judges, prosecutors, and task forces, and the manner by which these scumbags operate. They may have even fought and won cases against these exact guys too, now is your chance, find a local lawyer that KNOWS your jurisdiction in question.

Alabama WILL be exponentially cheaper than 'Sco. If you have the loot do not skimp a dime and get the best you can. The most expensive does not inherently mean the best so my advice interview at least 5. Just feel them out and see how you feel about them, if you get the vibe they are genuine, and will really fight for you instead of milk you.

If it happened in a small town, consider consulting a local lawyer for their wisdom on the local yokels, but instead seek a high power ambitious lawyer from one of the bigger cities; google suggests Birmingham, Montgomery, Mobile, and Huntsville.

So now to address the question of should you even go back... well.. oops I mean should your friend even go back.. If the individual has priors, and it was a sizeable knock, well they meed to be prepared REGARDLESS if they go back or not to sit down for a while. cause sooner or later, they are either going to be acquitted, plea out, or give back some time.

now, that doesn't mean necessarily that they should or shouldn't go back. do they have any children? Do they have much flow? if they are grinding in cali then I'd make hay while the sun shines and make them work for it, while you lawyer up.

Ignore the guy who told you not to lawyer up yet, LAWYER UP IMMEDIATELY! Should have already done that!!!!!

good luck brodie

Holy shit I just looked up Alabama laws. You say 85 plants?

Be prepared for them to come after you for trafficking! Even if its just distribution, according to norml.org you are looking at *mandatory minimum* sentencting guidelines! not fucking good. this is something people get extradited over. if I were this guy I would be squeaky and on point as fuck, soon as they run you on a traffic stop or any other LEO contact, they will see that warrant.

depends what your running from .sometimes living with the fear is worse then what happens after you get caught .

Do you know anything about Alabama? That's my home state. Look up our marijuana laws some time, it might remind you of Saudi Arabia. If dude is wanted for questioning over 85 plants, the best idea is to STAY THE FUCK OUT of Alabama. Get as far away as you can. I don't give a damn what lawyer you hire, 85 plants = you're fucked.

you guys need to hurry up and change your dumb laws already .

It won't happen anytime soon as it's consumption is feared and misunderstood by the majority of the populous; enough to be ingrained in their culture.

Obviously, we have many brothers and sisters in Alabama. We should all hope that they stay safe and well under such inhumane laws.

Very true.

North to Alaska..... or West to Hawai. Or maybe the US Virgin Islands? Stray thoughts. lol

Alaska is the last place you want to run to with a warrant on your head. It's a small place population wise. and it has lots of cops and nosy people. Every cops mission is to run as many peoples names through the database as possible so they can catch all the idiots who think they can hide out in Alaska. You would be safer renting/growing in a house next to any cop station down in the lower 48.

i got charged with a bunch of stuff in texas and left the state that night.lol...cop says sir can i depend on you to be at the municipal building on such and such date?...i said oh yes sir and could you please give me directions to the courthouse one more time lest i lose my way..i sure dont wanna be late...thats been 25 years and this old fat man wont be visiting that humid shithole anytime soon.

things are different now.. before computers got hooked together it was easy to avoid arrest/warrants , even getting another driving liscense was easy... I had several of each at one time.lol now everything is hooked together, the man will get ya eventually... I do have a non extraditable offense in nj.. was told by lawyer don't go there and I am ok. a lot of minor offenses they just wait till ya fuck up and get ya... I have a shitload of misdeamenors in florida. they wont extradite ,but sure as hell will grab my ass if caught there... had a total of 33 misdeamenors some I took care of most I didn't as I said fuck this an left...

Outstanding warrants are the devil, particularly for extraditable offenses. Leaving the State works for minor stuff, even a lot of it, but if they catch up to you within the statute of limitations, they'll try to stick it as far up your ass as possible. Uhh-Huh!

Years ago, a buddy ended up spending nearly a month in various jails around the State over unpaid traffic tickets. From the System's POV, he was begging for it, and they obliged.
