ICE (Nirvana) 1800W SCROG

Hi Folks,
I hear ya - what's next? I'm planning of growing a male PC plant & crossing it with an ice Queen. Should get the resin production & med type quality of the Ice, alloyed to the BIG genetics of the PP1. I still haven't found the 'cheesy' pheno of my PC yet, so the hunt is still on for that too. Got quite a few plans for the grow room too, so plenty to keep me busy in the new year.

Great idea about the 'Pollen Club' WW. I'd talk to a few of the senior members here and get some advice and maybe find out if someone's alerady doing it, even on a small scale.

Hi Folks,
Latest update on my run of Nirvana's ICE. Had a 'top' crop of 8 1/2 Oz (dry) and as you can see, there's a lot more to come. I top cropped them too early but was getting a pal out of a scrape, so what the hell. The trichs were still mostly milky last night, when viewed x 100. I reckon about another 7 days. They're on a flush of water & AN's Final Phase.
It's stunning to smoke already, so I can't wait for the finished item!

I'm really impressed with this ICE. I love the way it smokes, really enervating initially but really relaxing later and with subtle pain killing properties that are very welcome. It's been 92 days to completion (Gin clear trichs with roughly 10-15% turning amber) So almost ten days longer than advertised but hey that could be just the way I grow - slowly! (It sure as hell is the way I learn!) Lol
Anyway, I cropped 8oz (dry) off last week, mostly the topmost buds and then another 8oz three days ago. I've left the rest to mature a little longer. I've no idea what's left, about 35 oz I'm hoping.
Anyway, the big chop on Friday then the clean-down.
I have a mixture of ICE & Power Cheese seeds set for germination and plan to raise a PC male to fert one of the ICE Queens. The cross should be very interesting, especially if I bag a really cheesy male pheno of the PC for the 'stud-work'.
I will keep Y'all posted.

I've only grown one seed of Ice, was an indica dom.
potency: 5 (probably the strongest stuff I've ever smoked, besides Sour Cream by DNA)
yield: 4 (very dense nugs)
finish time: 5 (8 weeks was enough but could go past 10)
ease: 4
Don't know how true it is but what I've always heard with Nirvana strains is there tends to be a lot of variation from one seed to the next but the keeper phenos can be great. Even on more stable breeders/strains, better to listen to reviews from those who grew out +5 females rather than just 1.

Hi Farmari, yeah I got to concur on most of your findings. I'd rate the potency as a 4 - also finish time as a 4. The jury's still out on the yield so I will post the final numbers. I have another pheno type finishing in a tent, so I'm eager to see any difference in the finished product.

So the score on the door! Nirvana's ICE grew to a dry weight of 31 Oz. 2/3rds roughly of my PC. I love the way it smokes though and can't wait to cross the two strains.
The worst bit now. The big clean-down & preparation for the next run.

it takes real effort to pull off these grow shows right until the end(warts an all).
