^^ sour D bud, from mislabeled clone, was labeled "blue heron" but im so glad i ended up with one of these sour D plants, love this flavor.

Ready for Round 2...

^^^ Flo and Flo x Grimm, one solid tray of plant here... all currently in 1 gal pots, will transplant into 3 or 4 gallons, probably of organic soil I will mix up myself.

^^ tray of plant either from seed or from clones of plant from seed from last round.... does that make sense?
plants from seed: one ras richie jamaican, some "stagger lee" (sweet tooth #4 ibl x Casey Jones), some dynasty seeds des*tar bx (ms. universe cross), my drizella bx's,
plants from clones: LOUD 7/8ths sour (3 pheno's still), Rare Dankness Flo OG (2 phenos still), some buddah's sister, a bubba kush....

feel like i'm forgetting some, will check and edit this post if i left some out....

"the other side" not cleaned up yet...
any suggestions on cleaning hydroton AND cleaning the bucket system ? DHF? Arthritis.Sucks?

must admit that i had a bit of a problem with hermaphrodites in the deadhead og f2's AND the bay 11. perhaps the bay 11 would have been ok if cut at week 8 or 9, but i think the deadheads hermied earlier perhaps around week 6 or 7.... could have been due to some environmental stress, particularly cold temps during some latest cold snaps, when my heater did not cut on for some reaon for several days around week 8... also a few very small light leaks may have triggered hermies.

if you see some lil white beans in those bud pics.... go easy on me.

Hey Bro.....When my plants were cut at the base with buckets full of lava rocks left , I dumped rootballs and all in Rubbermaid cattle troughs full of pond zymes to break down all decaying plant matter , while conditioning and cleaning the lava for the following run...that way I always had shit soakin and gettin ready for every other run to keep rotations flowin.....

Used same technique when swappin over to coco and worked just as well , but instead of dumpin the medium , I threw smartpots and all in the troughs and it worked like a charm.....anyways....

Glad yas had a good Harvey , and wanted to stop by and say I`m sorry for being a driving force behind getting rid of the "not helpful" rating , but something hadta be done to bring the kiddies and asshats out in the open....

Waaaaay too much behind the scenes unknown trollin in the last couple yrs due to the ease of just clickin it to fuck with solid folks in positive threads with nothing BUT helpful info....and hey....

I`m ALL for letting folks know when bullshit posts need red flagged as not helpful and douchy , but shit`s gotten outta hand and appropriate measures were taken.... now....

I was the FIRST to say either disable ALL the rating OR let the unhelpful rating stand with the user`s nick beside it JUST like the helpful side of the coin , and it was done JUST like that for about 1/2 hr or so till all the kiddies and asshats started bombarding the not helpful button in protest , so Admin shitcanned it altogether , so all in all....

IF the bad apples had`ve shown some diplomacy and restraint , the not helpful rating would STILL be here , just with your nick out beside it for ALL to see , but noooooo , folks didn`t WANT to be exposed and brought to the forefront and accountable for their actions , so all I can say is they did it to themselves.....and.....

As far as all old threads only showing "helpful" ratings even in ALL the bullshit threads and posts , think about all us old heads that had NOTHING to go by for reference other than trial and error , and believe me there was waaaaaay more misinformation from bullshit know-it-alls that couldn`t grow their way out of a paper bag than there is today , and WE hadta weed through all the quagmire by our DAMN selves to determine what worked and what didn`t so .....finally.....

New folks....Take ALL info shared on public forum weedsites with a "grain of salt" and do your homework like we did back in the day , and things will fall into place sooner than later....simple...babyshit....

ALSO, today I'm working on mixing up my organic soil for next round, both "trays" will be plants in 3 gal pots or soil bags of this organic mix, watered with water only at first, then will begin being fed by teas around the time flowering begins.

I'm considering starting a new thread in organic soil section (y'all think that's a good idea?).... even tho the bucket system in the room will still be fed using botanicare Pure Blend Pro plus botanicare additives (hopefully no fuck-ups this round....)
speaking of that bucket system...
Still cleaning the hydroton and buckets.... big boxes stores in my area not carrying pond enzymes right now, or i would try them out... also gonna clean the buckets and lines and res of course; clones for the system rooting now (hopefully!)

fuckup was old/spoiled nutes in res last round (i think), bucket sys. works fine, so far so good on the control bucket and timer and fittings and pump (have backup pump)

I'd really like to get a drip to waste setup on the flood table.... could run fresh water thru it and top feed teas, dunn.... i've flooded peat on trays before, flooded rockwool on trays, flooded coco on trays....
the evil tinkerer in me wants to try new things... always knowing i can do better than hand watered drain to waste nuetral medium (promix hp, or Coco usually) with bottled nutrients.

as far as clone only goes... maybe it's the peeps i know, or rather the peeps I don't know.... i like seeds.... this board is kinda "about" seeds vicariously thru the bay and bou, and people seem to like the variety, and im a total variety lover, if you've read any of my older threads you know i struggle with NOT being able to FORCE Myself to monocrop.


ALSO, last time i got some "elite clone only" jawns.... they brought in with them Hemp Russet Mites, aka the devil. and in reality only one of the 4 was as killer as it was professed to be....

pheno hunting requires a lil more skill...
maybe a better way to say it is that pheno hunting is more of an educational thing than just growing clones.

I love how you're always growing different styles Avi. Wishing I could try some of that DWC Chunky D. How does the flavor compare to your pro-mix stuff?

As far as the clone thing goes I think of it this way. While "the elites" can be devastatingly amazing, access to seeds is much easier. And not everyone will have the same taste/preference for pheno, besides that. if we all only grow clones where will the species be in 100 years?

I'm thinking of chuckin a little pollen next time I pop some seeds just to have some stuff to sort through.

I bought a container of Pond-zyme powder at the hardware store. How much would you use in an 18 gallon tote for soaking Smart Pots? I was thinking a tablespoon.

Edit: someone said the included scoop equals 2 teaspoons;
Label says "Initial Dose: Using the enclosed measuring spoon, add one scoop of Pond-Zyme Plus with Barley for each 100 US gallons twice a week for two weeks."

Please do . Though I'm not sure it would matter what you medium you grow in, From the looks of thing you could grow in fkn sand,. Maybe that should be a consideration for one of your contests

thanks somerandom... enjoy the show... and i just may start a thread in the organic section; when that happens I'll post a link to that thread here as well. ultimately I'm hoping that it DOES matter what medium I'm growin in, that's why im going with a healthy living medium made of high quality ingredients.
Mixing up the soil today, ricehulls instead of perlite, biochar activated with ACT, bails of peat, and a "fertilizer mix" tailor made by Eureka Springs Organics, consisting of:
oyster shell flour, azomite, kelp meal, alfalfa meal, neem cake, crab shells, fish bone meal, humates, fish meal, high p guano, and gypsum

some soil is mixed and in the grow room, ready to go, may transplant some tonite, duno how motivated i am after stirring the soil all day wearing a respirator, especialy considering some of the peat bails were frozen solid and i pick-axed them apart.

all good tho, soil is now room temp and ready to go....

bucket system... still being cleaned out, clones for it still rooting.
