What "non-standard" additive do you consider a must?

We all use basic nutes, but there is so much more out there we can give our plants: additives, boosters, soil improvers, CO2. Personally, I haven't used any of them yet, because I suspect that although they may increase yield a bit, they still aren't worth the money. But my mind is open, so: which products did you try, which ones do you keep using and why?

Reverse Osmosis Water.

Impossible to grow clean cannabis with un-clean water. CO2 comes in with the fresh air.

I only use GH flora or Maxibloom, maybe a touch of Koolbloom powder if I have it. At least that's all I use until I'm ready to spend 5 years learning organic soils.

I bought a RO device too, after constantly battling Mg and Ca problems. Best 30 euro's I've spent. I don't believe it to be a must though, it all depends on your water quality.

Silica
It builds cell wall strength to protect against mildew/mold and insect attack and it helps to support more bud weight, increase drought and heat tolerance.
Protekt si is also an emulsifier and can be used to raise and stabilize ph
I could go on and on about silica.
Use it on one plant and compare it to your other plants at harvest!

I like to constantly foliar spray Nitrozyme with coco wet, fulvic acid and b1 vitamin.....I rotate the nitrozyme and b1 and the fulvic acid is about every other day.

Interesting, thank you!

I don't like spraying, because you have to be near your plants at lights out, which is almost never in my case.

Kelp Extract

Also seems interesting, thanks!

I wouldn't laugh...

Cannabis is extremely good at pulling heavy metals out of whatever it's growing in.

The ability of the human body to utilize monatomic gold particles is becoming more well known and the results are amazing.

The two should make a stellar combination...

I do all my spraying with the lights on and near the beginning of the lights on cycle with no detriment at all. I too have heard that the lights should be off or this, that or the other thing can happen and I personally have not seen anything negative come of it. I have also been told once your plants are in flower beyond a certain point that you can't spray and I still do with no problems (I do live in Colorado and it isn't very humid here so maybe that's how I get away with that last bit)

If i had to pick one it would be protekt - try soaking clones in water with some sillica.
Coconutz nailed it really.

Fulvic acid, kelp, aloe, and good ol' molasses are worth mentioning too.

This topic has very good potentials.

Regarding silica - are we talking about nutrients like "Pro-Silicate" and such?

Indeed, that goes against everything I've learned. I don't think I'd dare to take that chance.

Not convinced about aloe, but the rest seems good stuff!

A very well written article against Hudson.

Doesn't really debunk ORMUS except to say "Nope... We swear it doesn't exist because current info says no and Hudson is wrong."

Thanks though ;)

*sigh* I feel sorry for you, mate. Pains me to see such ignorance.

Anyway, I don't want a debate on Ormus. Keep the suggestions coming please!

I grow with maxibloom, so I can add some stuff like:

Protekt as a ph up and for the bennies to cell wall strength.
Koolbloom, I use the powder, a little in early flower, and some just before flush.
Maxicrop seaweed solids, mostly is veg, and in flower if needed.
Floralicious , I use it sparingly, by the drop, in late flower.

Good thread.
