Colorado recreational stores in January

Tiny & out of the way as it is, I doubt that Alma can support a dispensary, uhh, you know, for real.

I doubt you'd have to drive as far as Denver. There are shops in Summit County & along the I-70 corridor, iirc.
LOL

You're very naive. The cannabis is so bad, in nearly every dispensary, that if they'd been growing quality... people would be lined up for it.

The only thing sustaining the current shops is the ignorance of the buyers. They grew up with the current non-quality available in Colorado and only a few places have a few growers that know different.

Awareness is still going to take a few years...

Keep it Clean! :D

It's comforting to know that unflushed, chemically sprayed bud that has been chopped early is now available all over the State at 1995 prices.

C'mon down...yer the next contestant on the Price is High!

Hurry, they are running out it's so good.

It's the same bud that's been for sale around here for a long time- good, bad & indifferent. Current retail weed stocks were converted from medical, and were grown by the same people in the same places & ways as before. The regs for true retail weed are more stringent than for medical wrt pesticides & so forth, so purity may improve. Growers can traditionally get away with damned near anything.

Other than that, nobody's getting busted & once the furor dies down anybody can safely score basically any time they want. Let's face it, if you haven't dealt with people who made you uneasy when scoring pot, you ain't been around. If you've never run out & had trouble getting more, you've lived a charmed existence.

Getting the very best product consistently? you'll either have to grow it yourself, now perfectly legal, or be closely associated with somebody who does. That hasn't really changed, either.

I figure that the market will sort itself out as with alcohol. Just because there's cheap vodka doesn't mean there isn't 12 year old Scotch.

The dispensaries have to grow their own, or can growers sell to them?

70/30 rule, I believe. They must grow 70% under lights and cameras of the pigs and they can acquire 30% from excess med supply under NO CAMERAS.

All that I have read lead me to believe that this is their regulation, HOWEVER I have not read 100% of the codified regulations.

I feel like that 30% opens a huge door for basement growers who could be used to supplement the supply coming from the rec warehouses. Not to mention, My shit's way better than the shit on the shelves, and i'll sell it to em for $125/oz...and pay my taxes. Till then I'll just process it all into dabs and take care of the patients as usual. I'm not making any money, and therefore not paying taxes on shit. The rec shops open their doors to us basement growers... Entirely different story.

Oh, and i'll get lab reports to prove my shits clean :)

I think that the current fee structure rules out small growers in favor of investment in bigger theoretically easier to regulate operations. It was shaped in part by venture capital political donations, no doubt.

The rules around retail growing are a lot more demanding than those around med growing for the same sort of reasons, also bureaucratic kingdom building. Having separate med & retail growing currently serves all interests. That probably won't change until after retail is firmly established.

the rules are demanding...you can't even give away free non MJ cookies!

regulation isn't the same as legalization but its progress, IMO.
