Well said Billy.

There is love in my heart for both, oddly enough I've got OG and Bubba growing right next to your Malawi Gold. :joint:

You're a trip...and you do like to make threads that kind of sort of bash on the modern lines...sometimes aggressively...sometimes passive aggressively

If I had a time machine...I'd most definitely blip you back to the 1970's or 80's where you seem to want to be. But you know dude?...I came up smoking through the late 70's into the 80's...into 90's into 00's...to present...and none of that shit is better than what is now.

I hope you make your own stuff...and stop wasting your time worrying about crazes...or how something isn't kush...

the lack of patience stoner part is just typical passive aggressive...but I guess if you grow long flowers..you are proving something? That makes you a real grower? please

maybe your right...but for as much ripping i get on these boards...in my pm's and and REP comments...a lot of people feel the same way...they just might be scared to get ripped like i do

So i speak up..I just think there is way too much Kush being grown out there and it's a "craze" driven by many factors...i was around the "DAM" when the haze craze was going on...

So i feel i know a thing or too and your right..i do grow my own..Blockhead, ISS, NL5x Haze(a cut from a buddy, he bought the seeds in 1990 from sensi...) and a few others

the only Kush type plant i keep in my garden is Chemdog..from rez

Why the fuck would i want to grow OG or Bubba when everyone else is..IMHO..BUT LIKE MOST HAVE SAID....too each his/her own..

peace

kush is here to stay.

many to most outdoor growers were forced indoors and had to produce indoor friendly strains. as the anti-cannabis laws get more and more relaxed the ton yields of high quality sativas will drive prices lower and more and more will enjoy high quality outdoor landrace based sativas.

cannabis is already bigger than wine and cigars put together. there will plenty of room for all. indoor strains will get some severe competition from high quality outdoor landrace based sativas.

I would agree. Not going anywhere anytime soon.

same here.
at least now people understand how kush is one of many quality strains.
i think a big part of the kush craze is the general indoor grower is a little sharper then 10-15 years ago and people are finally getting well grown weed, it just happens to be when kush was the go to name and they became synonymous with good weed to the average smoker

I was just flipping off the top of my head bro. Nothing personal really...it's just how I post.

I'm selfish...don't garden to trends..into my own thing. I figure some people are searching for some yesteryear line..they must serve their memories..or whatever..when..there is really interesting stuff being created right now...especially in private gardens. If a line is blessed by the masses...I say...power onto them.

Man things have changed so much in my weed time...I still have problems comprehending why there are any complaints. The variety is amazing...throne be damned..it's all out there

Only time will tell to be honest. As long as smokers aren't educated then it won't matter.

It's time to quit complaining and start making the strains you want. That's what Im doing this year, I've gotten bored with what's been being done so I bought up a bunch of strains and now will spend the year making new stuff I find interesting.

People cannot like what they haven't been exposed to, if you expose them to new things they might just like them more.

Yep, this is pretty much my plan. I seriously doubt Kush or its counterparts are going anywhere anytime soon for whatever reason. I thought everyone was preparing for the future and purchasing strains they planned to use in the making of their own strains...lol Personally, I'm not tired of Kush per se, I am however tired of seeing basically the same Kush mashups by a number of different breeders. Not knocking anyone of course but it seems no one is using any imagination anymore or trying to improve the strain which I thought was the goal. I mean seriously, how many different ways can you cross Kush and Chem before it's all just the same?

@tokin, even though the Chems Og's and Diesels are my favorite and they are not going anywhere, you are exactly right, it seems like every single breeder is releasing a cross of some sort with these strains, at first there were only a few U.S. Breeders with these, but now even the euro breeders are producing they're versions, I mean they should still offer these but at least have something unique as well, there has to be close to a dozen US banks offering the same strains, and in the end as you say, they are all pretty similar depending on Phenos

All kush taste the same one way or another but breeders on here need to stop making same bullshit crosses as each other.

Kush is here to stay but come on you polyhybrids make sumthing new for us guys !

I think the Kushes will stay for long, but I think landraces (asian, african, american, etc) will climb there in the market, for terpenes profile, flavors and the nice conosieur high they bring us. I dream with the african strain era. I like the sativish side of the moon more than the stoney one, but that just my like.

Why would it be? Kushes are popular and will most likely remain this way. Most idiots don't know the original origin/meaning of the term. Since kush is so hyped and there are so many people unwilling to learn/happy to be ignorant, the term and supposed kush strains will remain popular. It's a scary world.

Definitely believe the kush varieties will b around for a while,, but I have a feeling that alot of Hawaiian keepers are going to be the next big fad, "again".

Site seems slow, know it's the off season for some of us. Know our southern hemisphere brethren are getting in the middle of it right now.

In the spirit of community, knowledge, and growth let's all break out of our normal paths and ventures. Let's comment question and spread advice where we normally wouldn't. Have two-thousand posts, but never introduced yourself? Normally use nutes and check your ppm go find some organic guys (cough cough, uhm hum) and find out about R.O.L.S. or the difference between ACT and vermitea. You only do sog grows of a indica dominate hybrid check out some sativa threads. Why use both mh and hps? Bokashi composting, no not bukake. Pvc and butane are malicious...?

Spread the good word. Start some more vegetables, you're already growing. Raise a couple chickens. Don't feed the beast and we'll win this war with our minds instead of with violence. Moderate moderation and love living it.

How about it? What say thee?

I think the "Kush" craze has went too far.... but anyone who loves real OG Kush flavor will never give it up. I would love to say something else taste as good, but I would be lying. OG Kush is the best tasting herb I have ever smoked. However I am sick of all the Purple Kush, Kings Kush, Bullshit Kush, etc. Real OG Kush will be huge forever, its that taste!

Kush is the new pale ale. Its here to stay. And until people realize they need to pay extra $ for exotic 20 week flowering sativas nothing is going to change. I've tried explaining people if it takes 20 weeks to flower it needs to be priced differently only to get the get out of here you are out of your mind responses.

Btw I love pale ales, can't say the same about the Og kushes (real hindu kush I enjoy).

THC:CBD 1:1 strains are among the next wave of things to come. Also pure trippy sats after everything has been kushed out for years... and as always a number of extra potent hybrids...
