Colorado recreational stores in January

That's not CO's problem... Amsterdam has dealt with this for years.

Well, yeh, but I don't think that the EU has the functional equivalent of the DEA, either. Governmental structure & authority delegation are fundamentally different in the EU.

FWIW.

Med card holders are exempt from the additional excise taxes when/if they purchase weed.

Med card holders can grow more than 3 in flower and 3 in veg with a doctor's rec that allows extended counts.

Will be interesting to see who camps out in front of these stores to be "first" and if they make the front page of the paper. (and are subsequently fired from their job for using MJ...LOL)

And Jhnnnnn is correct. It >is< Colorado's problem what folks do while they are here visiting. Peeps need to practice restraint and those who don't need clued in. Just as it ISN'T cool/is frowned upon/ and shows NO respect to the locals to walk down the street toking up in Amsterdam, it also isn't cool/respectful (or legal) to toke up on the street here in Colorado. Should be interesting to see how confused folks are who come here believing it is fully legal, including public display. Talk about revenue for the towns/counties.

So glad I have a garden/don't have to play such games.

Agreed, for the most part.

Not being part of the MMJ scene, I have a question- can card holders legally grow outdoors?

Yes for outdoors I hope. It is still legally untested yet. The law reads secure place with locked door. There is a 6 plant limit (3 in flower) and no weight limit (weight can't leave premises) so people grow weed trees. I am hoping a 6 foot privacy fence with a locked gate and nothing visible by neighbors will count. I hope I am never a test case for the justice (injustice) system.

If you have a completely enclosed and lockable space (chain link enclosure w/4 walls and a roof, greenhouse, etc) you can grow outdoors as a med patient. (or under 64) However, you open yourself up to thieves by doing so. Prying eyes are everywhere and rippers are far more of a worry than the po-po in this state, for sure.

Now the speculation is finally over and I eagerly await trip reports from Colorado. See you in Denver or somewhere in CO sometime in 2014!

And we want you to come and enjoy your vacation- like an adult should be able to do any where on earth! welcome to colorful Colorado!

Amen! Come and enjoy!! :)

I love Denver…It is, hand’s down, my favorite medium sized city…But, please don’t forget the rest of our beautiful state! It would be a shame to visit and pass up the chance to visit all of the little towns that make this state so amazing! Besides, Den isn’t the only place to find recreational storefronts. ;)

So far, from everything I’ve heard/read, everyone has been extremely respectful and considerate…Makes me so happy to hear!
I gotta admit, I was kinda holding my breath a little the first day or two, hoping we wouldn’t hear about a flood of arrests for public consumption, etc.

You can pass up HCH2 in Alma Colorado.

$19.77/gram and it sucks. I have a review of their "Super Lemon Haze" up on my blog. The Super Lemon Haze was supposedly their "Best of the Best of the Best of your Top Shelf."

Where's the lemon ff's??!!
Where're the cannabinoids?
Why does it taste like burnt dirt/dust/non-cannabis?
Why does it smell like mold/mildew?

Point in their favor... vs. 2 years ago I was able to finish the joint this time. Marked improvement!

The other dispensary in Alma just went out of business a few weeks ago. Their "Going out of business Sale" bud was only slightly better than 2 years ago when I informed them their quality was seriously lacking. They informed me at that time that "You're the only one complaining." I'm not surprised they went out of business.

2 years ago when discussing quality with HCH2 I was told "If you don't like it... you can shop somewhere else." Niiiiice.

I have early-clipped bud that's spent 8hrs in a dehydrator at 95F that has more smell and flavor and kick to it than anything HCH2 has put out in years.

At $19.77 a gram? I'd keep driving to Denver and look there.

Keep it Clean! :D
p.s. Both of you guys should have listened to me. *shrug* You'd be making WAY more bank. lol

the prospect of whether the supply is adequate seems to be the biggest "problem" w/ legal marijuana

Tiny & out of the way as it is, I doubt that Alma can support a dispensary, uhh, you know, for real.

I doubt you'd have to drive as far as Denver. There are shops in Summit County & along the I-70 corridor, iirc.

I believe that the State has the power to allow conversion of more medical product to retail product should the need arise. If things remain smooth, and they have been very smooth, there's little reason to think they wouldn't do it. Once retail growing catches up, they won't have to.

The tax revenue stream is entirely too good to let it dry up. It's a paradigm shift happening right in front of us. The tax revenue angle was a big part of the appeal of A64 to Coloradans, and God help any bureaucratic fool who gets in the way of that.

It's comforting to know that unflushed, chemically sprayed bud that has been chopped early is now available all over the State at 1995 prices.

C'mon down...yer the next contestant on the Price is High!

Hurry, they are running out it's so good.
