i switched to landraces primarily due to tolerence build up.

no tolerence build up on any of my strains now. plenty of "friends" that smoke the new landrace strains agree.

back in the 70's ppl got ripped and stayed ripped. ask the ol' timers. straight up.

now even with concentrates tolerence build up is accepted as reality. it's a facet of the man made strains as opposed to nature made strains.

now, i'm the first (hopefully) to admit that some strains inbred by man for some time don't have tolerence build up issues. so, don't read this thinking i'm dogging all the strains. there is without any doubt serious tolerence build up issues with a lot of the strains available to the commercial buy weed crowd.

try to find tolerence build up issues on the landrace threads. i don't see any.

:)

all of 'em i've tested.

malawi
golden tiger
punto rojo
oaxacan
zamal
nepalese
cohiba
choco chiba
burmese
panama
ghana
angola red
oth (haze)
smcg ( santa marta gold)

the problem with the landraces is they don't yield well ( for the most part) indoors and don't even come close (for the most part) in bag apeal to the great indoor strains. everyone (for the most part) was forced indoors and indoors the strains to run are indoor strains.

the landrace sativas have a strong following for personal smoke but for $commercial runs ( prononced pro :) ) the money is being made with the indoor strains it seems.

i really like how well gsc took off 'cause it's part durban poison mated in with some kush. landrace/indoor grails looks like a great way to have some of both worlds.

always have a variety of strains on hand so your body doesn't get too used to the effects. you can also smoke yourself sober if you go at it long enough. i probably smoke about 1-2g a day at most and I won't usually roast a whole bong bowl in a single session, I like to just maintain at a certain level and perform maintenance rips every 15-30 minutes or so.

hi

I would like to know more about your sleeping , and diet routine.

According to me it is the most important factor related to tolerance build up and body inflamation.

I was about to chime in about IBL land race sativas but Idiit seems to have already covered it well. I think part of what makes the land race strains good for overcoming tolerance is they are different from the usual fair and I find the more different a strain is from what you have become used to the better it will be as far breaking through tolerance. I don't smoke heavily, always less than a 1g a day and my tolerance never really seems to go up much. I smoke a wide variety, most of which are land race hybrids. I do find that when I settle on a favorite for a week or two then it does start to lose its kick just a little but if I switch to something else it fixes that. I personally use only sativas but that's due to the fact I don't tolerate indicas well. If you are using cannabis to treat pain then indicas are often the best option but unfortunately indicas also tend to have low ceilings and quick tolerance build up. Two IBL sativas I have found that are both strong and pretty decent for pain are Ace Panama and Nepalese Jam.

The best thing to do if you have tolerance build up is just to stop smoking for a while but if that doesn't seem like a good option to you due to pain symptoms then try rotating between strains that are very different from one another.

Maybe you should try with alternative genetics, most commercial stuff has the same ancestors. Try something brand new different with some exotic genes, probably the new terpenes and cannabinoid combination could help with it.

Vibes.

Ive been running Ace/CBG and really havent bought anything else since besides DJ. I have a nice array of effects and unique terpenes available to me depending on my mood or time of day. Certainly if someone has too much tolerance buildup, it is likely just a change of smoke is needed. Landrace sativas and crosses are a great answer to most problems, and a lot of them don't take months and months to flower.

Apart from landraces, you should pick strains from different genetic families as much as possible.

only thing to do in my experiance is to stop weed for a few weeks then ease back into it !!

the best high i ever get is when smoke again after a few weeks !!

smoke a sativa after a few weeks break wow .................... that first week is unreal then tolerance creeps back !
