Body pH measurements

Hmm.. Some wild info getting thrown around in this thread. Im a paramedic, I dont claim to be a master of biochemistry, but I understand body ph. As mentioned previously, your normal range is 7.35-7.45. Theres some room for variation here, but any lower than 7, or any higher than around 8 and you would cease to exist. Ph is basically controlled by your central chemoreceptors and is directly related your CO2 levels in your spinal fluid(CSF).

Sticking a Blue lab probe in your piss, although amusing, isnt giving you proper systemic ph readings.

It for sure isnt as good as a blood test, but if morning urine is used in conjunction with taking samples for a week, you can average them out for a rough idea.

And as far as helping maintain pH, though not practiced is the power of sodium bicarbonate and vitamin B17. A regiment of those two daily combined with a healthy green consumption life style will yield very heavy results.

Some believe cancer is caused and sometimes brought on by a fungal infection. Whether that is true or not is another subject. What is true is different holistic treatments and practices around the country have documented tumors decreasing in size or being eliminated with intravenous sodium bicarbonate injections.

Considering that fact baking soda is a strong antifungal gives this claim merit alone. That doesnt even consider the fact of baking sodas alkalinity properties.

Mainstream medicine rarely addresses pH when fighting cancer. Instead the same methods that were developed decades ago are still being used and heavily practiced. Chemo and radiation. Its like trying to clean dishes in a dirty sink full of dirty water. And supposedly millions are being spent on research every year..its all a crock of shit.

Body pH Changes

by Mary
(California)
Hi there.

I was wondering if you could tell me if your body pH changes throughout the day? I have been very sick and I am trying to maintain a healthy balance but mine keeps changing. Any advice would be a blessing.

Thank you!

ANSWER

Hi Mary,

The pH of your urine and saliva definitely does change throughout the day. We are at our most acidic around 2am and our most alkaline at 2pm. This is a natural, normal part of our physiology.

To figure out your body pH:

Test your saliva first thing in the morning when you get out of bed - before you put anything in your mouth (food, water, toothbrush). Your saliva pH should never be below 6.8. If it is, it means that your alkaline mineral reserves are way too low and the body does not have the minerals necessary to properly process food.

Check the pH of the first and second urine of the day. The first urine reflects the acid load from the day before. The lower the number the higher the acid load. The second urine should be just slightly acid (about 6.8), a sign that the acids from the day before have been flushed out. If not, it means that your kidneys are overwhelmed and your body is burdened by excess acidity - there are too few alkaline minerals left in the body to increase the pH.

Check your saliva pH 5 minutes after eating something at breakfast. This number should be higher than what it was when you woke up. Ideally it should be 8.5 or higher after breakfast. If not, this also tells you that your alkaline mineral reserves are dangerously low.

Check your urine pH between meals as well. It should be in the range of 7.0 to 8.5. After a meal, the stomach secretes hydrochloric acid to digest the food. This stimulates the pancreas to make the alkaline compound sodium bicarbonate. The urine pH 1 to 2 hours after eating should show that enough sodium bicarbonate is being produced, and register as alkaline. If your pH is less than 7, you have too much acid waste and are more likely to have symptoms of acidosis.

Hope this helps.

pH

The pH of urine can vary between 4.6 and 8, with neutral (7) being norm. In persons with hyperuricosuria, acidic urine can contribute to the formation of stones of uric acid in the kidneys, ureters, or bladder.[10] Urine pH can be monitored by a physician[11] or at home.

A diet high in citrus, vegetables, or dairy can increase urine pH (more basic).[12] Some drugs also can increase urine pH, including acetazolamide, potassium citrate, and sodium bicarbonate.[citation needed]

A diet high in meat can decrease urine pH (more acidic)
.[citation needed] Cranberries, popularly thought to decrease the pH of urine, have actually been shown not to acidify urine.[13] Drugs that can decrease urine pH include ammonium chloride, chlorothiazide diuretics, and methenamine mandelate.[14][15]

I should  the meters will be "close enough" for the purpose of this thread..regardless of source being tested. jpt

agreed.
eat healthy, exercise, be happy and don't drink or smoke.. don't bother trying to change your ph.

Not sure who " Melissa " is, but talk about a rough guide riddled with ambiguity. She purports to describe her formula for " figuring out" your body's pH by performing various tests on inconclusive and variable body substances like saliva and urine, but then ( of course) fails to describe how one would arrive at their systemic pH figure using these testing methods. I'm guessing she's one of thousands who've baked a few gluten free pastries and blended a few dozen turmeric laden kale smoothies and suddenly found themselves with their very own health blog. ( not hating. I Nutribullet shit up daily)
Your only relevant substances for these tests are your plasma, interstitial fluid, your cerebrospinal fluid etc. Any result from those $7 kits are inconclusive at best.

I have no way of checking currently, I have a feeling mine is low . I eat and drink a lot of acidic stuff...... so what ?1 tsp dolomite per 50 lbs lol.. what the best foods easily available to raise body ph?

Lol spoken like a organic soil section lurker! A regiment of baking soda, vitamin b17, and greens. Wheatgrass is killer in this department, it's the most abundant source of chlorophyll which carriers oxygen an eliminates toxins.

Simple way to keep a base pH: stay off animal proteins and anything containing lots of sugar. Both are heavily acidic...both are a major part of the western diet. Probably one of the reasons you will see so much advertisement for heartburn pills. Refined sugar is in everything..in one form or another...and meat eating is at a premium (in whatever form). Not only cancer but heart disease and diabetes stems from an acidic diet

Eat lots of greens (spinach, chard, salad, cabbage), garlic...basically

any low sugar veggie and any low sugar fruit (unripe bananas, sour cherries, coconut)..certain nuts and seeds (almonds, cumin seeds)...certain beans (navy, soy)

importantly: drink pure water (or coconut water) and stay away from refinement

Keeping people ill through their diet = big money for industry

* It's not difficult to get some good books on the subject

** I've found that anything that tastes sweet is loaded with sugar (of course)...and being a sugar addict I'm immediately drawn to it (we have been raised to be sugar addicts)...it's the quickest way for me to tell if a food is acidic. Sugar is a very serious and addictive drug.

*** there is no animal protein (refined or otherwise) that is not acidic. All dairy is acidic...add this to sugar (ice cream, chocolate bars) and you have a recipe for your body's destruction. I've been addicted to both dairy and sugar for most my life. Kicking dairy is easier than kicking sugar for me...but man...you need to read labels and understand what you are looking at. It's deadly stuff...ugly in the way it destroys.

....also...alcohol (especially mixed drinks)...very acidic

I haven't tried it yet but 7.35-7.45 is ideal. Anything more acidic is a environment for cancer and cell mutation.

This is your blood pH (7.35-7.45). Urine pH (5-8) is usually just an indication of your diet, and to a lesser extent, possible dis-ease.

Those truly interested in this sort of the thing should take a look into the gerson clinic, they also have a book describing their methods. Been curing cancer for over 40 years.......

funny how much humanity is still stumbling around in the dark over the biology of our own bodies.. cartain theories that we still use are completely wrong, like the cell model which is a pretty important thing to get right. which is the whole reason why "we" still don't understand the mode of action of most drugs or how they rebalance systems and processes of the body..
