I have always called GG4 X GG4 REV= S1. These are all the same plant..

Yeah thats right, those are definitely s1's. Im sure about that.
But a lot of times people will call a cross of 2 females (one being reversed obviously) s1's. Probably just because they dont know what else to call them. (I sure dont). And i believe thats wrong. Like Dr said, s1 stands for Selfed generation #1.
I definitley have heard Sam Skunkman say s1,s2,etc. have to be the same plant reversed onto itself.

I know none of this is important, but i was just kinda curious. Im a weed nerd. Always have been. I started experimenting with Alcohol/Cannabis tinctures/extractions when i was 13.

all I know is you can bx (backcross)with any male...I think lol

so gg4 x blueberry (male for example) would be gg4 x bb if you then crossed a male from that cross back to gg4 that would still be a gg4 bx.
I think some breeders use s1's and cross them back to the original female for the s2 or whatever?
and I think first gen of a cross is f1, brother crossed sister is f2 etc etc. if im wrong some please correct me, this is just my take on it..

Yea baby...I just got me a few cutttings of the Glue!!! the problem is I was partying at the time and i also was given 4-5 other strains and everything got mislabled...... so i have a cloner full of question marks #1, #2 ,#3, #4......LOL ..hate when that happens!!!

I thought gg4 was an accidental fem cross?? or maybe I need to read from the start.

you got it right, I don't know how a male turned up but it did , the funny part is when we first sprouted the original batch of seeds we had a male and killed it, we had no idea how good the gg strain was. I am just glad I got a second one , also still have 12 more of the original seeds to go through.
I have seen fem seeds show male flowers on the bottom branches and be all female on the rest of the plant , I had a white fire do so. it only had two male flowers on it, I am hoping this one is a full blown male.

The Peyote Purple line also has male's. I found one last year. Males pop up sometimes. I started a thread about this awhile ago in the breeders lab.

For me it was difficult to ID the GG#4 vs the Brotherhood OG pheno I had. I could not tell them apart until 2-4 weeks into flower .

I put on an extra pair of magnifyers and had a look at the 2 branches that were sprayed with silver. Both GG4$ and OGMango were treated, and both have real nice male parts forming. So four crosses- 2 feminised, and 2 S1. That is.... Providing they produce viable pollen

I am totally with some of you on s1's turning to be full blown males. I sprouted a blueberry headband fem seed from emerald triangle seeds last year and it was a full blown male very very nice internodes stacked like a female now the kicker to this story was i used him for a couple of crosses and for some reason all the seeds have been female.

I wish I would of realized how special he was before I killed him off after making the crosses with him. So I learned a valuable lesson always take clones of your males or at the very least store the pollen away.

Very nice glue pics Dan looks like you are looking at a very nice harvest coming soon I am jelious can't wait to try the glue....

Peace mike

Some times the Males you see when you grow out S1s are just so intersexual that you don't notice that they've actually got some female parts too.

Stellar GG dans!!!

How far are going you going to take them?

Thanx Milo :tiphat:

63 days as usual . i ran 1 plant to 71 days last round & it didn't make much difference except it started to foxtail , so 63 to 65 days is damn near perfect for the GG4$
