purple haze x killer malawi and friends

hey all- i'm starting my yearly grow a little early. these purple haze malawis can reportable go 16-20weeks and hey, all i need is a good reason to start a grow early. i'll also be growing some left over cookie wrecks and lemon aliendogs from last yr. these beans were started about 3 weeks ago. i had 6 for 6 germination but the kitty got pissed one night and chewed 3 up. as you can see the malawis are very uniform and have rapid root growth. one plant seems to have a slightly narrower main leaf blade

Thanks for start the diary So you are growing the purple haze x malawi killer F1 fem hybrid, isn't ?

We have found an early flowering purple expression coming from the pure malawi population that we indeed call Purple Malawi but Purple Malawi has not been crossed to haze yet. Purple Malawi pheno and Purple Haze x Malawi killer (green silverish pheno) are different.

oops- my bad. it is purple haze x malawi. don't know how to change the title but feel free to correct it if you can do it on your end. boy the growth and vigor is phenomenal. they almost doubled in size over the last 5 days. i've topped all 3 and removed the side suckers. plan on starting lst when the new shoots come out. please don't hesitate to throw a few pointers out. its been a while since i've grown any sativas. the last was alaskan ice. there was this "wild sativa" pheno that was real trippy.

well the girls are about 3 weeks from seedlings. they've been under a 1k mh for about 2 weeks. specially thanks to terpene, dubi, husky jackal and low falutin for the positive rep. now to earn it! did a buket change so i thought i'd throw up some pics. the purple haze malawi's are grow so fast that one limb that i was lst'ing ripped completely off overnight. they grow 1-2" daily.

a BIG HIGH to tangwena,inquest,bigherb, and ur. its been 2 weeks so time for some new pics. i'm LST'ing like crazy. the tied down height is 26" and i'll be flippin next week

all 3 plants have the exact same leaf size and structure. hopefully dubi can drop in and let me know which way these girls are leaning - purple haze or malawi?

They are growing wild jammie!!

It's the feminized Purple Haze Malawi F1 hybrid, it's mostly purple haze dominant (appearance, leaf, stems, colors, aromas, high) but the malawi really adds vigour, yield, potency and deepness to the effect. There are great purple haze malawi threads lately in this room for reference.

yikes- 10 days in and 36". i'd better get to doing more tie downs. will be switching over to hps in the next couple of days. these purple haze malawi's are hungry babes. they drink almost a gallon a day and 100ppm's worth of nutes.

hey there tangwena- yea is a jungle down there. i still got about 6 foot of headroom and as a last resort i'll charge up the hedge clippers! my 2 cookie wrecks seem to have disappeared in the undergrowth.

about 2 weeks into 12/12, changed over to flower nutes and hps lamp,

so i decided to grab some pics. gotta love hydro- these stalks are huge!

Hi Jammie, looking really healthy, whatever your doing they are loving it. It gets me exited seeing such rich plants, they should all look like that, they are going to be really pumping the nutes to the buds with such nice healthy roots. I can almost imagine the resin oozing out of the glands already.

hey tangwena- it seems that i'm spenting everyday picking off larf and 3-4" suckers. i want those big ass colas that you got on your girl. 2 of the 3 are already throwing pistils and buds at under 3 weeks. i wonder if there's a 70 day pheno of these???

Hi Jammie I think the colas I got were helped by the CMH bulbs I was using they didnt stretch like on HPS just filled out.
Either way with no height restrictions like you have they will be big mothers for sure. Cant wait for the flower show.
