silver skunk - afghanica/mexicanis/columbianis - maple ridge clone - also known as maple ridge blueberry and the viper - silver pearl x old skunk - 7-9 weeks - sensitive to nutes and soggy mediums. smells and tastes like blue cheese. unique to europe or any other breeder. decent yields. looks like an old time skunk plant. awesome connoisseur bags, taste and smell.
From MGM Genetics Thread

This is the test grow log of med-man brand genetics. The seeds which will be grown out are a F-2 generation and the "pheno selected (for F2) is a beast in smell and yield".

Cut that was BX'ed was:
  • Leaning more to the silver pearl side of things.
  • Had really thick Branches
  • Buds appear to be rolled in a bag of sugar (the silver part of the cross)
  • Flowering offers a really funky 'B.O. / garlic / fresh blue cheese' aroma.
  • Dry buds smell like blueberry cheesecake "big berry cheese" & taste's how she smells!
  • Is bug resistant & doesn't like soggy mediums.
  • 45-55 Day Flowering (or 42-50 days from flip)
  • She's pretty much a nl x skunk at the core, both usually finish quick.

2 main phenos. a sativa and indica pheno. one is a beast and one is a bit smaller

Maple Ridge BC's Silver Skunk = *Maple Ridge Silver Pearl* x *Maple Ridge Skunk #1*
Aka: Maple Ridge Blueberry, the Viper, or Remo's - Blue Cheese

GREAT!!!

Thanks for the quick feedback 604, I've been lacking plants that have real veg vigor - This should be a nice treat :)

What exactly do you mean by "good structure", as you will see later in the thread, i grow vertical scrog. I dont plan to top the SS, running them to see their true nature. Well that is with their sunlight coming from the side ;)

These genetics sound rad and I cant wait to pop dem seeds

hey budelight

they will be awesome for you then

they typically grow like the mom. with tons of competing branches racing with the main stem

perfect for side lighting

Have two coming up, their stems smell very citrusy?
Look very nice, good structure indeed.
Do they tend to be bit autoflowering?
Remember that I read some comments that suggested that?

No they are not, I will answer to myself, now when I have read these threads,

hi scai

do you have clones or seedlings?

they are like the grapefruit clone. anything will make them preflower almost. but they wont bloom. they do prefer light nutes, no soggy mediums, lots of root space, lower nitrogen in general. i see them perform best in hydro with 0.7 ec lol for veg, big plants too.

its also hard to judge males and females. sometimes ti 7-14 days into bloom if they didnt show preflowers

Hey Med-man.
They are seedlings.I believe that they were freebies or something.
I grow in soil.Like to use living soil, EM and so on, bokashi for nutes.

Not much nutes and they are now about 20 cm.Three of them, not two, sorry misinformation.
Well branching, nice growing. Few weeks and I will change them to 10 l buckets and to flowering.

Does this look familiar ;)

hey scai

oh ya buddy

see the canoed leafs? (first pic)

that should be a keeper. really watch the nutes. i find peaking at 1000 ppm may eve be too much.

more like peak at 800-900 or keep that steady

dont know your program but?

i am excited to see what you get man. she really is worth the maintanance. i find in veg she blows up at 0.7 ec, with flushes every 3 or 4 feed

she responds well to the "soil" feeding program from supernatural brand, just dont use those nutes, they are made for blueberries, not med-man ones :)

Okay, she is a keeper, if she is she ;)
Yes, I do lowfeeds, learned it from Mandala. They say that less is more, and I work my plants so that I give them little and if it looks like they could benefit some more, then they get some more ;) I don't think I ever have had nuteburns?
And by the way, I'm she too ;)
But okay.I promise to put some more pictures here, when they mature and flower ;)

I will, I will.
I have lots of seeds and freebies, didn't really know anything about Silver Skunk, but the name was so nice, that I thought that I give them a try.
Then I wanted to find some info and bumped to this thread.
Growing is really not about a race to honour, it's learning your plants and make few rounds with them, so that you know how they react and what's best to them.
Everlasting search for the perfect plant.
