Wow Avi. those Buddha Sister macros are impressive. Avi. you have some real success from breeders I've been a little afraid to try. Soma's seeds have such a wide reputation from incredibly good strains to terrible germ rates etc. You've obviously have been able to have success with them. How would you describe the high on the Buddha's Sister? That strain sure has nice resin production.
Actually our strains share some of the same parentage. My strain is something I did crossing Delta 9's CannaSutra to Nirvana's Chrystal. The CannaSutra's mother is Soma's Reclining Buddha. One of your Buddhas Sister's parents is also the Reclining Buddha.
Small Time sounds like you got a plan to kick ass next time. Bring it on.

sorry lemon, can't describe the buddah's sister high yet, this is my first round with her... but upon smoking it I certainly will give a smoke report here.
ALSO this clone is from a local dispensary and therefore I cannot say with 100% certainty that this is THE soma budda's sister... I guess i need to do a lil more research and see if my bs matches other peoples experiences with her..

my bs is sweet lemony citrous... sativa leaf structure, very quick to veg.

LemonGrove, I really like your plants. I'm ready to concede, but still got two weeks. Now, do I toss the tank in my cabinet for the last two weeks, or do I stay true to the square foot...

Nowhere near my personal favourites in this thread but still a lot of fun. Thanks for putting up the good show Avi! I'm focusing on my beercups now.

Greetings,
Garuda.

Smoke Report

Smoke Report

I know I should wait at least two weeks for a more proper cure but who can resist testing before a full cure? I know I can't.
So after five days of drying and one week of curing I had me a taste last night. The way I cure is to open the jar three times a day, move the buds around and sometimes taking all of the buds out of the jar to air them out evenly, for ten minutes at a time.I usually do that for two weeks, then I open the jar once a week for another two months. I re-weighed my bounty and found that it has lost another ten percent in total weight and it's down to 15.3 grams.
I'll give the smell and appearance the amount of writing I think those attributes deserve........ That's it. I personally think the marijuana community has almost totally lost it's way in determining what is important for quality marijuana. In my mind it is 99.9% effect and .1% flavor and smell. The taste lasts maybe five to ten seconds and a good high, for me, lasts several hours. How it effects me during that longer time period is what is important to me.
I weighed out two tenths of a gram for my dose. Used my bong for the testing and it was a very smooth hit with almost no cough. Very, very smooth. Started out with a facial buzz and my lips felt like I would imagine it would feel if I had botox in my lips; they felt fuller and numb. A large wave of goodness ran down my body, within five minutes my whole body was feeling fine, electrified, numbing and I had a big smile on my face. Watching a Gary Clark Jr. show on the tube made me realize how my mind was focusing very clearly. Musical pleasure was enhanced; I was in the zone. Also watched the second half of the Clemson-Ohio State bowl game. I don't always appreciate the unbelievable athleticism of these athletes until I watch them high.
This was a full on body high which I attribute to the Chrystal mother with some help from the Sensi Star in the father, with a nice clear functional head buzz which is an attribute of the fine CannaSutra father. Dry mouth was at a minimum and I wasn't chugging water to try to combat it.
I felt fully functional with no debilitating effects at all; no slurring of words, no couch lock to speak of and I felt no lethargy. I didn't have any pains before I smoked so I can't really say that this is a painkiller however it's easy to imagine that this strain would be an excellent painkiller due to the fact that the body buzz was so soothing, full and intense. This was a totally pleasurable high.
Sensitivity to body sensations were heightened to a very pleasurable level. Sex was very very nice as my whole body pulsated with pleasure and calming satisfaction. Come down was smooth, nice and easy as I slowly drifted off into a nice nights sleep. Total duration of the high and come down, about three hours.
The effects were powerful and I can easily imagine that higher doses or continuous dosing could be devastating. Not sure if this bud has a real ceiling or not; I've been down the over consumption road enough times to know that it is best to be avoided if at all possible. I will recommend my casual user/lower tolerance friends go down the one hit quitter route with this one. I do have a few hard core blower friends who, I have no doubt, will test this one's ceiling and I want to be there to see that.
From the smooth, clean intake to the intensely pleasurable high and the gentle, easy decent, this one is a keeper. The biggest difference I noticed between my yogi plant and it's full grown organic mom is the smell. The smell of my yogi will intensify as I leave it in the jar over a long period of time without opening but the smell of the big girl, with a three month cure, is intensely strong in the jar. The kind of smell where you stick your nose in the jar, take a big whiff and pull back quickly with a big WHOA!
My yogi girl far, far exceeded my expectations and I couldn't be happier with the results.

YES! One last week of flowering, and a quick dry. I finally said to heck with the Runt. Never had that much smell and was such a small thing. Got a week of "less" crowding to boot.

The runt. I always feel bad for the runt, but time to go. Part of me wants to keep two past the deadline and let them finish maturing, and part of me says time for something new. We'll see how I feel next week. For sure though, the runt is gone.

Can't wait to read the smoke report on the Buddha's Sister. The Flo X Grimm, is that Flo crossed with a Brothers Grimm of old strain?

OK Avi I read what you had written about the FloXGrimm cross but I didn't see what Grimm strain it was other than it was a pink strawberry ice cream pheno of some strain. I like to see what people use to make their crosses; it helps educate me on what criteria people use to make crosses.

male was labeled "grimm" for the longest time....

but it's grimm reaper by tga, old stock originally made to preserve older stock by brothers grimm

EDIT, lemon, i changed a post or 2 (including first post of the thread) to clarify the genetic background of my flo crosses.
:thank you:
