This run i got some amazing undoubtable death stars goin. When do you regulars w deathstar organic soil like to harv? What day? Also iv fully vegged n gonna b a full flower w 1000 mh too. Deathstar seems to enjoy halide. What do yall think??

My first run with the ds but i think she is a lil airy. Yall recommend more phospho? Im at like 5 1/2 weeks. She started really putting on the trichs in last week and half. Turned purple on fan leaves like a diesel really early

I found they need a hefty lollipo. They come out a bit airy but you can get them dense. Just not rock indica dense. Its one thing I like about it. The texture, it burns so well.

How the hell do you post images, I joined now only because I wanted to toss a few Death Star images from my harvest a couple days go...

Go to User Menu in the upper links.

Then to My Albums.

From there you should be able to create an "album" and then upload photos to it. After that just go into the album and locate the picture you want to post. Once you drill down to that photo there should be both a link and a link. Copy the IMG one and paste it into your post.


Might be easier ways, but that is how I do it. I keep two browser windows open so that I can hop over to my albums and copy the IMG tags.. then hop back to my reply/post and paste them in.

@ASMITH..I never thought i would hear anyone mention the affy mango on this site! Glad you have her. I dont know the lineage of the cross, but is is called afghani X mango. I worked with that cut for a few years. It is a VERY shiny resinous plant! The resin on the plant looks more crystaly/glimmerly than other strains, especially when its dry. Sometimes the its hard to get the full scent potential and yield out of it. Although, if you treat her well, you will get yield. It does better when you grow it big, but i have seen it produce donkey d*cks in hydro buckets flowered from clone. I like to vape it for FULL taste, its a whole diff world than smoking it. I dont really know how to describe the taste other than hashy. My buddy says he thinks it tastes kind of menthol like, but i havent really experienced that. I actually hit up the affy mango with some selfed Lemon G pollen. It was kind of on accident, but i have sprouted them and they are more vigorous than any of the seeds i ordered in. We will see what comes out.

Smurf youre talkin bout the stocky, fruity/astringent/nose burnin but somehow still sweet, white frosty ass ghani right? -with the stacked super chunky thick sugar leaves??? I've just grown it a million times & I've been hearin about a mango strain around but I'd never heard the ghani called mango so I'm guessing it's the same cut just a dif name....we always called it afgoo, the goo, ghani goo...interesting! Helluva cut tho, and yes treat her like a lady and she will put out for you!

I selected that fast, stocky "Cindy pheno" of chocolope a few years back that was floatin around for awhile, if anybody's got her still PM ME PLEASE! I lost her during a lil state sanctioned "vacation" & no one I gifted her to still has her...did kick it with some cool ass folks from miegs tho! It grows on you. It's kind of like Deadhead OG, in that you can just like that particular flavor after a while.

I thought it was a lot weaker in appeal than any OG, as posted earlier.

BUT... it grows on you. I have 3 self pollinated beans of deathstar

real quick guys...Im runnin the DS in hydro these days...first run w her on a 4x4 tray, 4 plants in coco, 7 gal smart pots, Im looking to pull 2# off this table, anyway, can some of you guys that have run the DS in hydro give me a few tips? I cant remember if she likes lower nutes in flower and higher in veg? also, in bloom, directly under light, or alittle ways away. where does she do better? any info much appreciated. I know I can count on my boys here!

I like to take her 77 days. Find it to be perfect right there. I find that from day 70 to 77 she really ripens and adds weight. I've taken her to 12 weeks and find that she loses potency and isn't nearly as good.

thats the thing, I dont want to lose ANY smell/taste/potency/grease factor...Im at day 64 now and 75% pistils have turned, I took a sample about a week ago and it was pretty phenomenal for being early and un flushed in hydro with not a single res. change.

After running the Dstar in OG soil, and in hydro...I cant really call it yet, in hydro shes a BEAST, but wont grow big big colas. tons of super dank golf balls...I had more traditional structure when I grow her OG in soil.

I must say tho, the DANK factor is way way up. frost ontop of frost. fan leaves the size of my head with frost up the leaf stem and frost halfway up the blades. amazing.

Im runnin 4 deathstar bitches in 7 gal smartpots in royal gold coco, the red bag, and using AN nutes. 4x4 flood tray, 1000w over it, with a 330 w LED blasting one of the sides. This is also my first time fucking w LED, and Im pretty blown away. tight dense nuggets, picture perfect. havnt tried it stand alone, but it compliments an HID very well.

let the flushing commence! Iv got about 2 weeks left. Ill let the overdrive get topped off out of my tank till Im runnin just water, then some clearing solution.

Im usually mr. photographer over here, I just dont have a good safe site to upload and post anymore. any suggestions? Id love for you guys to see this.

check this out guys, bottom bud sampler...close to my 330 w LED I was blasting the bottom/side with to test as supplemental, with a 1K on top...Id say it worked!

Here I am, (the OP) 4 years later. Still rocking her out. I never get sick of this DANK!!! Ive figured her out a bit too well i believe. Getting around 1.25 to 1.50 ounces per gallon in coco under 600's with 3 week veg. Much more than i ever thought she was capable of. Quite and impressive yield for such a quality strain. With a lot of strains, it seems like you sacrifice quality for quantity and visa versa. Not this one, best of both worlds!!!

Smurfin, nice work that's an impressive yield for Death Star. I get bout that with 2 gallon pots with a ~350 watts hps. Interesting your stems stay green, mine always turn purple but I'm also a bit abusive in early veg cause of my set up.

Congrats on this epic 4 year old thread. I have to admit this thread is the only reason I still have a Death Star clone. I had never heard of the strain before when a friend gifted it to me didn't take any clones cause I didn't care. Read this thread 4 weeks into flowering and decided to reveg it and it's been in my garden for the past 3 years. Crossed her with some hash berry pollen and that's become one of my favorite smokes. So I owe this thread and you a thanks!

Ticallion, I added 20w 6500k led bars on the sides of my little armoire to supplement my hid and the plants near the led bars are way frontier then the rest. Love having supplemental light with a different color temp. Looking great btw.
