I just want to have a reference for later of where the votes stood and when.

Right now at 8:35 the Poll has 10 votes for Weidman and 11 for Silva.

I saw weidman sucking wind at the end of the first round mouth open, and i would not doubt in his first 5 round fight for a title he had a bit of a adrenaline dump{uncontrollable}. I think if the fight would have gone further weidman gets uber tired after 3 rds and walks into a foot in the face. We get to see this evening so hold on to your seats and have some fun peace out off to the bar....
I want to see the Silva/Weidman fight go exactly the way overgrow described it. I disagree with you overgrow about Hall. He was great on The Ultimate Fighter but he has stunk the octagon up in the UFC. Hall might beat on Leben but in the 3rd that bloodied and beaten Leben is going to knock Hall out.

Vapor I totally disagree with you. There was no evidence whatsoever of Weidman gassing.

I also would like to point out that Silva refused to shake hands at the weigh-in. Just like last time right before the fight in the octogon. He didn't shake and then spit on Weidman.

So watch the fight instructions carefully. There isn't going to be a handshake because this time Weidman isn't even going to try and shake hands.

Remember in the movie Raging Bull where he fought Tony "Pretty Boy" Janiro and his wife said Janiro was pretty or good looking? Then Lamotta purposely beat on him more than usual just to mess him up. Then afterwards the announcer said "Janiro isn't pretty anymore".

Well I think that is Weidman's mission tonight. He is going to maul him then do some extra mauling on him just to show all the doubters and Silva that he is just flat out better than Silva

In an attempt to do this he could get the flash kick to the head and be knocked out. It is Anderson Silva after all. However. I am going to be shocked if Weidman does not completely maul, destroy and submit Silva and end any controversy who is better.

Silva isn't going to be pretty anymore after tonight.

Predictions

Weidman wins via submission
Rousey gets disqualified (biting or hair pulling) I am being serious here and Tate wins after beating her face for a round or two.
Browne wins via knockout (knee to the face)
Miller wins via rear naked choke
Brandao wins via knockout
Leben wins by knockout or triangle choke
Tibau wins by KO
Siver wins by TKO spinning leg kick
Howard wins by KO

I have more predictions. Retro will never return to this thread after Silva gets brutalized tonight. And if he does it will be with all kind of excuses about how it was another fluke.

I treat your predictions like one of my turds....I flush them. I will be here no matter what happens, you mouthy biatch. Now go back too your whining, pinhead.

Shaking hands is American thing lol

I'm sure Anderson has never heard of this "shaking hands" thing.

It is the referees job to protect the fighter in that instance. The fighters are instructed to go until the bell rings or the ref pulls you off. That being said, I have the utmost respect for the guys that stop before the ref gets there. The walk away KO's are a thing of beauty.

Silva was gracious in defeat for sure but he has been making a fool of himself in the cage for his last couple fights leading up to his loss to Weidman and has been very disrespectful in the cage to a few opponents. Demian Maia for instance. He was talking some serious shit in the ring to him. The general way of treating his last few opponents like they didnt deserve to be in the cage with him rubbed me the wrong way and I had been praying for him to get a slice of humble pie, and he got it.

I think he tears through Weidman fast in the first round and then retires or vacates the belt and moves to 205. Weidman is the real deal though and I will have no problem eating some crow should he blast Silva out again.

Yes, it is the referees job, but we all know the referee can't get there quickly enough to prevent several more blows. However, in the spirit of sportsmanship, I feel the guys who walk away after a knockout are showing class and restraint. After all, the other guy's unconscious. How is that sporting to hit an unconscious opponent? I just don't think that should be part of the sport, just as in boxing, hitting after the bell is not allowed. And I like the standing 8 count in boxing. Maybe it will take a brain damaged or dead fighter to get a rule change.

Barnett looked out of shape......
Joe Rogan didn't seem to notice that it was a knee that knocked out Barnett. He fell to his knees and was being held up by the other fighter who continued to elbow him. The elbows weren't even necessary. He was already out.
Josh looked like he didn't even train. Lots of flab and no muscle tone at all.

Odds dropping on Meisha Tate. Was going to bet her @+600, but now it's only +450, as the "dumb" money goes for the long odds, that aren't so long anymore.
Silva is now a heavier favorite @ my sportsbook: -170. Weidman is +145. More money going on Silva as he was only +150 a short time ago.

Great stream tonight. I'm getting HD quality off first row sports, #6.
Weidman looks bigger, but I don't think it's going to matter.

He snapped his own leg!
You could hear it.
It's s shame it ended like that. Never saw that before. Silva will retire now. That's a compound fracture. Going to take a long time to even walk again. I think he wanted to retire anyway, but he had a contract for 10 more fights. That was a pretty hard kick to have the power to break bone like that. Sad ending to a great career.....

First off I didn't want to see something like that happen. Having a large bone like that essentially break it half or shatter is a life threatening situation. You can bleed to death or get an air embolism to the brain and stroke out. Now chances are as bad as it is he will live but it is a life or death situation for sure. That was hideous. I am really sending positive karma Anderson's way.

Weidman was mauling him. He knew exactly how to contain Silva on the ground and work him over. I liked how he kept bending Silva's head to his chest. That was excellent technique and did many things. It made it hard for him to breath. It hurt and it pushed hm back and kept him from getting his hips and legs up higher for a triangle.

Oh yeah and he also knocked Silva out again. So the first time wasn't a fluke. Silva was knocked out and when he was falling got grazed with another punch that woke him up or it was canvas nap time again for Silva.

Weidman also was blocking Silva's kicks. He knew what Silva was going to do. You have to give Weidman credit for Silva breaking his leg. He has toothpick legs to begin with. I have actually commented on how he hasn't broken one himself.

I have to admit Rousey showed me she had a few more skills then I gave her credit for. First off she ate a few good punches and a couple hard upkicks so she has a good chin. She also had a few more ground moves besides arm bars.

I was 5-4 on my picks as far as winners go. Not exact method of winning. One of my better showings. LOL!

I did call the Browne win exactly and for the record Rousey got warned once to not pull Tates hair when Rousey was on her back in full guard. But it wasn't like what I was suggesting.

I would give fight of the night to Rousey and Tate. KOTN to Weidman And Submission of the night to Rousey.

Peace out people. Sleep and then NFL tomorrow.

I use pot for pain relief but if my leg broke like that.... More morphine please! He will recover in style with his ample funds to do so, and be walking and running in a year or less. Retired at 38, not bad if you think about it.

Weidman was clearly in control of the fight prior to the break and it does not diminish his victory. Second one in a row, the middleweight champ Weidman!

Weidman's ground and pound is second to none, like Silva's standup.

I was off on my predictions but a good night of fights. Sad to see a great go out like that. I dont think he will come back from that.
