Bet you had the wrong area code. The guy who wrote the song is an old friend and that really was Jenny's number.

I remember when you could buy baby gators or turtles at Woolworth's. $1

And parakeets! We had a blue one for years, a curious & companionable dude. When he passed on, we got a yellow one, a complete paranoid idiot. I think my brother helped him to escape. Have a nice life, jerk.

4th of July in Memphis? Had a good friend at that show, he said it was unbelievably hot. Also said Stones put on an awesome show...........
It was really hot at that concert. Weed came up later out on the field, because it was kind of muddy and people dropped seeds when they rolled one up. Skynyrd stole that show

I don't remember Skynyrd. First time I saw Skynyrd was when they warmed up for the Stones and the Outlaws and it was after the Liberty Bowel show. Later that year. I'm sure I would have remembered Skynyrd, one of my best favored bands after the Stones ofcourse.

You are right, Skynyrd was the 76 July 4 show. It was Clapton in 74 and Stones 75 at the stadium. We had plenty of free mushrooms back then.

I remember when I was 9 years old, around that age and I get my first sheath knife like this, today it´s a weapon before the law.

I remember when I bought a 4-channel reel to reel :tiphat:

I must have been high  the Salesman saw me coming.

The only 4-channel tape I ever had was the one that came with it.

The Sound of Music :woohoo:
