That cut is a bit of a "legend" in my neck of the woods... looking forward to this thread growing quickly. I wish I had more to contribute, but I am here to :lurk:

I've heard of it amongst some of the older generation grower friends I have... I believe it was popular in the early 2000's in my area - I also believe hearing it was an NL cross of a sort - I'll be in touch with a fella that might know more and I'll see if I can extract some legit info :blowbubbles:

Sounds like what was put out by BCSC-BritishColumbiaSeed Company in the late 90's. I believe it was a Nl#5xWW cross. Don't believe they are still around, but they put out several Nl#5 crosses in seed form.

How are they coming?

Coming along good but WD and OWL look exactly the same. Not sure if these are both OWL or WD40. I would think the variegation in both plants would be a dead givaway for WD40. They are both pretty cryastaly. What do they both smell like at 30 days Flower? Still trying to figure this out.

The 40 does not have much smell at this point.. kinda like dirty sock

Lightning is pretty strong if i remember correctly, strong funky garbage with mild sweet undertone.

Both plants smell the same. Reminds my of an NL5 pheno that I used to grow. Kind of a sweet smell. That's what scares me cause I hope it is WD instead. They have a flat top style dense bud structure with lots of trichomes.

British Columbia Seed Company - White Lightning
A sensational cross between Northern Lights #5 and White Widow. Wonderfully sweet and resinous. The plants have a mostly Indica growth pattern and excellent hybrid vigour. The buds look sugar coated with resin and produce a classic, astounding Indica stone. The pungent sweetness of the White Widow really comes through in this blend, adding a touch of fruitiness to the Northern Lights #5.

Flowering Time: 50-60 days
Height at maturity: 2-3 feet
Yield: up to 125 grams
Heritage: White Widow x N.L.#5 (F-1 hybrid)
