Not much going on. Finally getting back to a normal schedule after the holidays. Everything held up great for the 7 days I was gone. Nice to know I can get away for that long.
All plants from the last round (#3) are down and trimmed. 2 DSD's were trimmed before the holiday and are dry. Surprisingly very little difference in yield between the 2 phenos. DSD#1-1 came to 69g and DSD#3-1 came to 75g. I have one more of each to compare and see if the numbers hold up.

Round 4 is about halfway through flower (32 days). However, I think I will let this Midas go 85+. I decided to squeeze in one more round on the left side. I had 4 large moms that were being retired and figured I might as well flower them out. It will be at least a month if not longer before I have any clones of the Bubba Kush S1's ready to flower.
3 BKS1's. Start 5 seeds. 4/5 popped. Culled a runt so left with 3. Still have 10 seeds to play with.
Moms to be flowered. Up-potted, pruned and hit with neem. They get 4-5 days of recovery before going into flower.
Deathstar, Super Lemon Haze, Afghani Mango and Deep Strawberry Diesel (not in the order I dont think)
12 clones. 3 of each of the above. The strongest will become new mothers and the rest culled.

Midas buds are topping out but should finish without hitting the ceiling. One was definitely too tall and I accidentally super-cropped it while trying to train it down. This is 2 Midas plants with a DSD sandwiched between them. Mono-cropping is the way to go, but I think there might be something to beneficial dual-cropping. The Midas spread out in a very tall Y shape and the DSD fits perfectly into the area between the 2 "Y's" e.g.: YxY

The rest of round 3 should be dry tonight or tomorrow. Been in the tent 9 days but you all know how damn cold it's been. Even with the little space heater. Next update should have final dry weight.

Not much going on here. Today is day 45 of flower for round 4. About day 15 for round 5. Final dry weight on round #3 was 497 grams = 17.75oz.
2x Deathstar = 179g
2x DSD#1 = 137g
2x DSD#3 = 181g
DSD#3 has been culled even though it had the yield. DSD#1 had considerably more trichs and has developed a most excellent smell and flavor despite all my complaints about a lack of such during flower. Smell from the jar is fruity and hashy and the taste is just... classic. Something I haven't tasted in a while really but has that nice kushy flavor with lots of pine on the exhale. Barely any sweetness despite the smell. Reminds me of bags I used to get in college c. '05-06. Really tasty stuff. The DSD#3 is earthy smelling in the jar. Almost like sticking your nose in a handful of really good loamy soil. First time I've run across that particular terpene profile. The taste in a joint is on the sweeter side but pretty bland overall. I'll get some comparison dry shots up of #3 and #1 and hopefully a more complete smoke report including effects at some point.
Been lazy about pics lately. Later this week... Need to start documenting the bubbas. They are at about the 5th node and I just topped them.

Wildgrow - I'm not sure I have seen a much of an increase in yield, however I feel I am getting more consistent/better quality on the lower nugs. That along with the fact that lamp hot spots have been basically eliminated has made it worthwhile for me. My yields are going up slightly but it's hard to say how much of that is the mover and how much is variations in veg time, strains, training and pruning practices.

So got my good camera back but without the SD card... ordered a new SD card and find out the pins are bent in the camera. Luckily the camera also has an XD slot so I picked up one of those. Should be here today. The sad part is I never got to snap good picks of the 2 DSD that recently finished. Good news is I will now be able to get better pics of the 80+ day Midas. Today is day 80 and will most likely start chopping tomorrow through the weekend. I don't usually harvest early/mid week as I don't have time to trim until the weekends. 85 would put me at Tuesday and they would probably sit until next Friday if I waited. Trichs are cloudy, little to no amber. Basically what I'm looking for in a sativa.
In other news... got my tester pack of BATF F2 (Alaskan Thunder Fuck x DJ Short BB [some Ga3 reversing and such]) from Alien Dawg. Going into towels tonight.
Got clones of my 3 Bubba Kush S1's. Of the parents, 2 are hardy and showing fat indica leaves. 1 is runty, long internodes and much less leaf material with narrower leaves. All 3 parents will be flowered as soon as the Midas is cleared out and the keeper will mostly be based on flavor with potency being a secondary factor.
So I got all of the text out of the way here. Should make it easy for me to come back tonight and dump some pics. Expect a smoke report of my keeper DSD soon, this round I dried before trimming and didnt fuck up the humidity - 10 days in the tent then manicured and jarred with boveda packs... the jars smell like berries rolled around in a pile of kief and the buds look about the same!
