If you ain`t legal , I suggest ALL to take pics with cameras , or when usin phone cams , make sure the shit`s run through a "proxy server" to hide your ass , cuz uploadin pics to the internet with a phone gives LEO an EXACT geographic location via GPS with an ADDRESS on EARTH to come visit you at their convenience IF they get yas in their sites and choose to fuck with you....aight....rant over....but....

lookin good dabs I can't wait to sew these bitches in full swellage

Thanks man, me too!!!! from the looks of it tho, i think I may be on to something ;)

I have my nightmare OG narrowed down to 2 phenos. the plants I have came from clone, and admitedly, I havent taken a care in the world to properly label them..However... When taking clones, I've always chosen the best 3 or 4 plants and gone from them, and narrowed it down from there..well, I have 3 plants in the bunch, which I'm pretty sure are from the same pheno..One of them has 26 Main branches....26. And by main branches I'm talking 30'' Plus... The other 2 have 19 and 20 branches, but they're noticeably bigger and bushier than the rest. In respects to smell, these ones give off sweettooth/sugarshack/blueberry smell...

When I first started growing this strain, what really struck me was the smell. Sweetest blueberry pinesol smell in the world. Noticeably overpowering in a garden... Well this pheno in particular has it all. size, strength, stretch...Now we'll see how she yields, but I all but guarantee 16+ from this one...

The clones I took from this round were once again, unlabeled, but i did take a majority of cuts from the three I'm talking about.. I think im also gonna take 5 or 6 cuts from my fav bitch in a couple days, and try early flower cloning for the first time.

No more taco freds. Just 100% happy health plants. 2 days of .6ec, humidity up to 70% round the clock, dimm the lights.... Back to normal..Now back to feeding 1.3 EC.. added 1/4 g/gallon of epsom salts to this res to give a little extra mag. After that, gonna finish off stretch at 1.5 ec.

One question I have about the jacks..

It's obviously a little high in K. D9 is adamant that you can run 3:2 all the way through flower, no problem., but is this ideal? Wouldnt one want to tweak the ratio more towards a bloom formula after stretch??

I rock 12 lights in colorado. I use a swamper to get the rH up to where it should be. just dump the water out of it once of a weak and the cholorine in the tap water should keep nasties from brewin in the pads. alot cheaper than those foggers. i put my swamper on a titan rH controller that was about 100$. I think i said props to buying a house at 23 earlier but after re reading your threads didnt see that post so just had to say way to go again. the dsw dude is just a hater hes fifty and doesnt have a 12 lighter yet. lamo people hate so hard on us young fellas rockin it out. i hope you keep the thread going. your build is going to help me a build out a similar build.

I had thought about this. What size swamp cooler? It seems my problem is usually not reducing humidity but increasing it.

Happy Ho Ho`s MoFo`s.....Bro I`ve not got a clue bout Jack`s juice , never ran anything but GH 3 part.....but....

I always gradually dropped micro and added more bloom after stretch to maintain 750 ppm`s across the board....Maybe post a question in D9`s thread and see what he`s got ta say bout it , but ......

With a 5-12-26-1 part dry mix and additional calcium nitrate to make up the ppm`s with , I can see where it could be difficult to impossible to add more bloom and less micros/macros , and most importantly Nitrogen.....anyways....

Glad them bitches is turnin around and actin like somebody.....Got buncha fixin`s ta get ready by noon , plus tending a 20 lb spiral sliced ham , and 22 lb wild turkey that`s been in my smoker all nite long on looooow and sloooow , and then it`s feed the masses and the bulldawgs.......and yeah.....

My dawgs get Xmas dinner PLUS all carcasses tomorrow or when we`re done with em.... I could care less if their turds look like rainbows tomorrow....They love the attention and the grub , plus it mixes with the cowshit out in da pasture......Ya`ll have a happy holiday , I`ll prolly be in a food coma afterwhile...

Ultimately, what is "best" will depend on the particular plant you are growing. Some plants are N whores, or cal, or mag whores, for these types of plants lowering the N/cal/mag inputs might not be an option as it will result in deficiency. However other plants are especially P or K hungry, but require a lot less N/cal/mag/whatever to stay happy. In that case it's likely better that start tapering your N/cal/mag inputs after stretch has ended, or possibly later in the cycle if it's determined that is best for that particular plant. Figuring this information out is just another facet of dialing your room. Point is you have to figure out what works best for you in your room. Try looking at nute recipes (d9's 3:2, h3ads, lucas, etc) as merely a base to work off of. Most of these recipes are used because they "work" for most plants, that is not to say that further dialing/tweaking can't be done for a better end result.

I'll probably bust it out next grow..gonna set up a circular motion of cool humid air using a couple other rooms in the basement...Gotta build them out first tho...

Glad I could help man, let me know if you need any input or guidance, or just keep followin along and we'll see if we can get close to 1gpw. Doubt it.

I'll be happy with .75 :)

I need to learn up on my nutrients and their affects on plants. I can honestly say I dont know shit about nute schedules or the shit I'm feeding my plants.

i've always gone off the head recipe, (because other people found it successful, and I had success using it), and now I'm using d9's recipe (because he and other people have had success with it and i was trying to cut down on my nutrient cost while retaining a complete nutrient) but I dont even begin to pretend that I know why these nutes work etc. I did however compare the profile for the 3:2 recipe to more generic responses to a "what profile works best for which weeks in coco" thread and found it to be a bit high in K which is why I was asking.

Im scared to tweak the recipe and delay budding, so I think this run I'm just gonna follow the pro.. stick with the 1.2-1.5 ec 3:2 recipe, with a little bit of epsom here and there, along with a once a week compost tea, and we'll see what happens.

The pics arent hosted on Icmag..

And they automatically resize in my browser, and on my phone, and on any computer ive used..

I dont have the time to upload all this shit to my computer, resize, upload to the net, post, etc.

This'll have to do.

Don't sweat the small stuff Dabs. But I tell you what, this thread sure does attract some piss and vinegar attitude! Worry about file size?

Fucks sake man, say something relevant or say something about safety or add some sort of value to the discourse.

One could say nothing,read on, and move on. Chortling to yourself quietly.

Or one could just say "hey, man keep up the good fight. right on." that would be cool too. Not enough people say "right on" anymore. 60s and 70s where good times in the exclamation department.

Right on Dabs.

Hey DHF, Thanks for the kind words on my other thread.

I wanted to add something to your excellent advice. I do not ever post a "photo" to a forum such as this. What I do is display the photo I want to post in whatever photo gallery/viewer tool you have. then I use a screen capture utility (Greenshot from sourceforge) and I capture the region of the screen that has the photo displayed, I can crop at this time. Then save the screen capture to a PNG or JPG to your HD.

This is the important part - That PNG/JPG file will just have the image in it. There will be no meta data (EXIF data) embedded in the file. The meta data that cameras nowadays store is terrific stuff. However you do not want to post your GPS coordinates to the web in the meta data embedded within that photo.

This process really does not add much duration to the task of posting photos when you get the hang of it. Its just part of the process of selecting which photos to post and getting them up there.

Or - do whatever the heck you want to do. That's cool too but you may be inadvertently spicing up your life in the process.... ;)

Don't need anyone dropping in on your "thang."

The uploader I use removes EXIF, and uploads through a proxy. I'm not that concerned with the feds, I'm 100% legal, and i dont sell my product. Also, I'm way under my plant count, and I dont push it at all.

Jackboys are another issue, but doubt they're sophisticated enough to be causing internet problems, and if they were they probably woudlnt be after me. Im just a small fish in the pond

Doesnt ICmag remove the extra data from the photos?

Don't really know, perhaps not. I'm sure that PNGs don't provision for EXIF though. One way or the other I just do it out of precaution. If it is overkill, coola.

Lil sumthin' you may not know :biggrin:, Jacks hydro and cal-nit can be mixed at 2 grams per gallon of each to create a profile very similar to h3ads recipe ;). 3/2 just doesn't look quite right to me for coco. Obviously great for mostly inert medias with low CEC (turface, floor dry, hydrotron, perlite, etc), but it looked high in K and N when using coco.

Thats what I'm thinkin! I'm experiencing verrrrry slight and moderate deficiencies here and there on different leaves on different plants. Little P def on a couple girls, but the ph of my res water isnt rising at all over 2-3 days, and I think I was feeding at 5.5-5.6 for like 3 or 4 days. Think that may have caused it.

I had a ton of success mixing for heads recipe, I may try it and check it out..

Also bumped up EC to 1.5... day 8 of veg, and they just are looking a little hungry now that they're drinking a bunch.

Oh, also, Dont know if you saw this, but I'm running about 80% Perlite, 20% Coco..May be more like 75 25, but there is more perlite than coco for sure.

Dont know if that changes things

It will give you some wiggle room, but ultimately coco is a fickle media (doesn't like anything outside of a very tight range when considering ph and nutes). I'd try switching to h3ad's @ 1.5 EC and keep your ph 5.8-6.0. Perlite will do just fine with 3/2, but the coco is likely to experience CEC problems, which I'm guessing are already manifesting as the small deficiencies you are seeing. Having your ph out of line for a few days definitely contributed to the problem, but I don't think that is your sole issue. Remember this is hydro, things happen fast (good and bad). Watch your plants for the small signs so you can fix the problem before it becomes a major one that fucks you right here :moon:. Losses in yield are exponentially larger with more and more lights/costs to cover. We're here ta help (well some of us are :laughing:), but you have to be willing to pull your skirt down and admit things aren't perfect (earlier the better).

About 99.95% of the room is fine. there are like 4 leaves total that have what looks like a very slight P def. Nothing major. I have kept the ph between 5.8-5.9 The last two days. Leaves are healthy everywhere else, not tacoing, flat...Perhaps a little on the dark green side but not too terribly bad.

I'll try the heads @ 1.5ec. I appreciate you lettting me know that d9's recipe is tailored towards low CEC media like turface, perlite, etc, and not the coco.

I'll report back on that in a week or so :)

99.95% fine doesn't include overly dark green leaves and P def, no matter how slight they may be. These are the early warning signs that something is off, and an indicator that you are losing yield everyday it's not corrected. It's excellent that you notice symptoms this early on in your grow career. Next step is to learn to react to them before it becomes a bigger problem. Let me know how the h3ad's works out for you. Strongly recommend you weigh your jacks on a scale when mixing also, it's very concentrated as I'm sure you've noticed :biggrin:. Being off just a little bit visually can make a large difference in the strength/ratio of your mix (especially important in coco).

I've got a scale that weighs to the 100ths place, so thats good..

As far as your advice for the h3ads recipe;

I mixed 2g of each in 1 gallon of water. Each yield 450ppm for a total of 900ppm or ec 1.8

From h3ads thread:

In the coco, I am now using 6ml/gal micro and 9ml/gal bloom which gives the nute profile:
N 97
P 60
K 105
Mg 41
S 27
Ca 97

adding 1 g/gal epsom salts to the solution changes the numbers for mg and s to:
Mg 67
S 61

ANDDDD from this jacks thread: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=231574

1 gram of Jacks Hydroponic in 1 gallon of water = aprox

N=13 ppm
P=14 ppm
K=57 ppm
Mg=17 ppm
S=22 ppm
Ca=0 ppm

1 gram of Calcium Nitrate in 1 gallon of water = aprox
N=41 ppm
Ca=50 ppm

D9's Recipe i think is 1.6g jacks + 1.06g calnit to get 600ppm
64-22-91 = 3 - 1 - 4

So, by my calculations, 2 grams of each Yields

N=108ppm
P= 28ppm
K=114ppm
Mg=34ppm
Ca = 100ppm

N is a little high but the ratio is like 3.75 - 1 - 4..

Also, the P is alot less than that in the h3ads ratio..

Can you explain a little more..Im confused as shit
