If I were to flower this today....
This would make a great seed run set up.

2 plants of each strain.
4 strains for a total of 8 plants with a single pop in the
middle doing his thing.

2 pools in one tent.
8 strains crossed with a single male
using a clones off the same pop.
1 pop per doughnut.
16 seed packed plants...lol

Now if only I had 8 solids and a rocken male I would be one happy camper by seasons end...

I have myself wondering about what I should go after this season.
The plan has been to get land 3 x 1+lb sets of 3 flavors.
1) I want to see if I can get at least 1 LB off 2 plants
with 6 plants in one pool. Being 3 pound pools.lol

2) See a large full pool SCROG for personal smoke and flavors of my making...

If time perhaps a little seed run at the end.

But...

The more I look at the market...
The less I think I could get into it using lbs to get through the front door... This years desires look to be concentrates, oils and the like.

Not really something I want to get into doing...
Not really thinking I want to deal with trying to make a career with the prices of bud going the way it is and not having many shops to supply that want to deal with an unknown talking 3 lbs...lol

One of life's final body shot this year was to take my job from me.
20 + years and bam. Laid off for making to much... Life!!!

Having a little savings and way burned out on my chosen career for the past 3+years Im taking a little break for a few months.

I have/had a job in high demand and should be able to get back in at probably $3-4 less an hour than I was making before...

Im thinking in the back of my mind...
This might be a good opportunity to move out of my known comfort zone and live a little life...

If it dont crash and burn to shit first...lol

So...

Im torn as to my best path forward this season.

Thinking I will do pool one for the tester F13 and GSC's personal smoke and try to squeeze in BH,SD,SL,ATK as Budcycles down low.

Pool 2 then would be set up for a seed run like the pool above.
Using Either a GSTF or LTFB male for seeding 4 strains using stored pollen from one of the clones being sexed ATM. Done this way to keep the pool 1 clean of seeds.

Then again....

I could run the smoke pool in the new tent and run 2 pools for seed...
hummm....

10 days to launch the smoke tent.
30 days to launch 2 seed pools.
hummm...

Downside to the seed pool idea is...
I have not grown the damn moms before starting the next cross...

I need more space...lol

Though the moms would be in the smoke tent and I might have time to run the left over moms in a 2nd run for the one tent.

Thing is... I may not have another chance for who knows how long if things go south... IDK....:tumbleweed:

Just rambling away...
I have a lot on my mind...

Cleaned up and moved over some BH and Spicy D to pool 1.

Now THATS... One full pool... :woohoo:

I took out a few little ugly mo~fo's that I don't have time for..
Spread the rest of the little ones out..
Always good to have a little leg room hoping they speed up a little as well....

The SD have really made a nice some back BTW...

Seems to me I have 2 options here...
I can take 2 clones of each plant and flower them in 10 days or so.
Or
With in 5 days or so all plants in the flower tent will be confirmed(I hope)lol

I could set up the small tent and start vegging the smoke run.

Then flower the large tent with all plant inside to 10-15 days and reveg the keepers for flowering.

Lets see...
2 clones each plant. (Boat load of clones)
8-10 days for healthy clones + 10-15 days to sex them= 20-25 days
Flower the tent as is.
10-15 days to flower 15-30 days to start vegging again= 30-45 days
But no need to deal with lots of clones.:chin:

hummm....
Man... I need more space...hahaha....

Funny...

I go outside yesterday and the neighbor comes over and wishes me a happy holiday, then goes and slips me a joint... hahaha...
She says... I Have a friend that has these...3 for 5...
I played it stupid...
Im like, wow... This will make for a good night...Thanks...

So I go inside and a little later try it out....

OMG... Nasty... I mean... Maybe fan leaves kind of nasty....
It's the thought that counts... Thank god... Cause that joint dont count...lol

Anyways..

I rolled a little holiday spirit for her...
Cannafornia style...

I told her I just came from a dispensary and wanted
to return the holiday spirit...

Ive saved myself a lot of hassle and space by cloning after I sex. Cut 1 as soon as it shows - gives me time to fail and cut another before the plant gets too deep into flower. Clones almost always take.

So I cut my pod use to 35-40% not cloning future males and double clones.

Don't we always want more space?!

As soon as she said '3 for 5', I would have known it was going in the trash. Had to be leaves. Probably selling off a friends trim to make holiday $.

Are cords 'in' again? All I would wear as a kid, hated jeans. Mostly because when I was a kid, jeans were 2 pieces of plywood sewn together. Then cords again in the early 90s - we all dressed like destitute college kids. Shit, think I still have a pair of wide wales kickin somewhere.

Happy holidays AD!

When I'm running separate pots, that will be good option and a much faster process for sure...

Running multiple plants (6)in one pot(pool)and wanting to veg roots into the CC means I need to know the sex before committing the spot...

hahaha... I knew... Was hoping for brick weed...lol Damn...
Im thinking she may be able to get me some though...
Shady type o chick...

Was going to tell her... I know someone that can get these blunts for $20... But I simply said Happy holidays and walked away...

Cant wait to see her again... Wheres my smoke report...lol

Hell ya... I have some hard core 70s cords going on...
Small front pockets.. Bell bottoms....
If you looked at me... You would think... Straight arrow... Clean cut... Nark...hahaha...

Working on that...

Puff,puff,pass.....

Happy holidays to you and yours, wild...

So once again I learn the hard way and it keeps me up way to late fixing bad choices...lol

Coco/perlite wicks are a FAIL... Booo...

Pool floods in one minute.
Takes 5 minutes to drain...

No bueno..

Dug up all the wicks and dumped the coco.

Straight CC...
Takes 2-3 minutes to flood...
Drains in under 1....

Mucho bueno...

The pool is charged with jacked H2o and running clear....
Ready for the ladies....Nice!!!

ZZZZzzzzz.....

This is Vert~Ville after all...

This is Vert~Ville after all...

Well once again...
That was fun... Took a minute longer than I thought to wash and pre charge the pool... I have just a touch of perlite floating around and can still smell the neem in the CC...

Most the males and other plants that didn't make it to the pool got chopped... The black plastic bag has around 10 plants in it and flipping stinks like you wouldn't believe...

Im always nervous for the next couple days but I've got a good feeling about this set up....

As long as the waters not all f~ed up,things should be golden...

I placed 8 rather than 6 yet I placed 2 smaller plants where I can cut them out if the 6 need the space...

Went with a simple PVC stand for the fan.

2 minutes gets me perfect floods...
Sticking with every 90 minutes~for now...

The light blocker needs a little evolving yet has great potential...

I tilted the plants outwards so as to fill as much space forward as I can...

The trellis in the center will work more as an anchor point for bamboo sticks as needed... Im looking to VEG 7-10 more days but I expect a good stretch to GSTF and dont want to get to crazy...lol

Hi, Alien Dawg.

Have you considered watering only once per day? Especially with calcined clay, which might hold a substantial amount of moisture?

The last illustration at #1893 might appear to provide an abundance of water for at least 24 hours, again, especially with a water-holding medium such as calcined clay. Perhaps with 100% perlite or pumice, multiple waterings might be required, for larger specimen. Yet, for the size of specimen depicted, a single `flood` per day might suffice, with moisture still held within the medium for the duration of a 24-48 hour period.

That depicted amount of water `flooded` might not be necessary even as a single `flood`.

We have tested 20 gallon SRBGB`s with fairly `large` plants or small trees which did not require watering to a `pool` of water to be formed on the top to thoroughly saturate calcined clay for at least 24 hours. Even when employing only perlite or pumice, having less water-holding capacity than calcined clay, did not, generally require a `pool` of water to form on the top to saturate and maintain moisture within the media for at least 24 hours, and up to 72 hours.

Just a possible test case: multiple `floods` per day compared to a single `flood` per day. The test case might seek to, among other purposes, determine the minimal amount of water (resource) required to function properly, as opposed to possibly supplying an excess of the required resource.

Kind regards,
/SRGB/

Truth be told. I have not. .lol.
I've been trying to follow a recipe that seems to work well.
Only... Mine is bigger. ..haha. .

My limited understanding of the multiple floods rolls are:
Make nutrients more available to the roots
Adds more air to the root zone, allowing for more air roots.
Keeps the res circulated, which does all kinds of good stuff.. lol

Could be interesting comparing once a day floods VS multi floods a day.
Hummm...

? For ya. .

Did you find multiple floods causing damage or otherwise negative effects or simply unneeded ?

Happy Holiday's SRGB Crew...
