ill second that Bitcoin comment

And bitcoin slumped 50% last week after regulations kicked in in China. It's a commodity, not a currency. It's like telling Von to put his money in pork butts, except pork butts are way more stable of a commodity than bitxoin. I worry that if he takes donations in bitcoin much of the value will go up in smoke unless he immediately cashes then.

no one is saying to invest in bitcoin, but buying some to send the same day where they are received and sold again the same day is a great wayto send money without a lot of hassle. but yeah the volatility some times is a down side. you could get unlucky and lose a part of a donation in the time it takes to make it into dollars, on the other hand the bit coin can go up too, so you might get more for them. bit coin is not jumping around in value every day, you'd have to be unlucky and buy them just before a crash.

Valid points - I was more thinking that they'd pool in a donation fund and that's where issues of volatility occur.

well, this is the first i hear of this, and it saddens me...as i have recently been through much of the same(but our laws are lenient...much much more lenient)...i feel von will go through the same but with a stiffer sentence due to where he lives...

after getting caught, i made bail..then was out for 5 years going back and forth to court, all while paying my lawyer tons of $(like 35k)...and after 5 years of him telling me "we are going to fight this to the end there is no way they can convict you"....the final day at trial came, and they offered me a deal that i just couldnt pass up...i wont say my charges, but if convicted i was up for about 6 years...the deal was just about 60 days...i jumpped on it cuz you can never trust the system, nor you life in a judges hands...it was one hell of a deal...one i could not resist..

i feel the same will happen to von..years fo waiting to go to trial...dumping tons of $ into a lawyer, to still go to jail but withh a lighter sentence...best the lawyer can do is min sentencing...i got caught before there was min sentencing in canada...but if vonn got caught and min is 12 years...i feel very sad to say but likely he will pay lawyer tons of $ and still get 12 years...


i really hope he does get help from alot of the members and friends of his, but i cannot, not because i wouldnt want to help him out, but because i know how the system works...for me its like throwing money in the wind...i would donate seeds, but we cant do that so...


on that i wish him the best, and will morally support hm, hoping and wishing for the best.
