Lovely! Is my windows broken? I tried in explorer, image viewer, and irfan to rotate it, but when I upload here, it seems to always come in vertical... :(

Just goes to show, you never know whats parked in someones garage.

Looking good bro!

Funny thing is nothing has ever been parked in this garage... The slab is about 14" thick and they never even poured a ramp leading up to it.. This place was purpose built for other endeavors.

are you running a soil mix inside currently? seems ya normally use smaller pots.

i think i remember you getting a drop of royal gold, was it their coco?

and is that a instant water heater in the garage? are you using it for CO2?

Yep, everything at this location is Royal Gold's "Basement Mix"
They are actually the same pots we used before they just look a bit bigger i think because they are contained within an ebb&flow table now, and they are like a foot higher off the ground then you might remember them, so it gives a different scale mebbe?

Good eye on the water heater, I wish I had know that all it is when we paid HUNDREDS of $$ for it, its a HYDROinnovations "watercooled co2 generator", I have since seen it in a local outfitters as a "Coleman" camping hot water heater for like $140... fuck

Its just a portable/mini on-demand hotwater heater, also happens it dumps decently cool CO2 enriched air into the environs

Looking Killer man! What is your goal on the garage? pound per light? I haven't ever run anything bigger than 8 lights and even though i can get over 2.5 pounds out of a 1kw tent the most i got out of the 8kw was 11lbs. You seem like your shit is well on point though and am curious what you aim for in a show like this.

I have seen lots of buds trimmed with a twister but only helped run one once. I am definitely buying one before anything needs to get trimmed again; some bud structures seem to not like the twister as much and those I won't grow more than a little for my head stash. Regardless I hate trimming and I'm not the biggest fan of running a trim scene/babysitting trimmers...

K+ HellaFella420

It was decently over 1 per last time, and that run was an absolute shitshow, it was the "quick-n-dirty" approach. Wasn't ready to invest the extra 10k+ necessary to make things they way they are now/soon to be.
I try never to put much expectations into things, all that leads to is disappointment! I wouldn't be let down if the OG came out to 1.5 a light though..

Yeah, the input material make all the difference with these machines, some stuffs structure just dosen't lend well to tumbling down a barrel efficiently.

I'm glad I have gotten so much time running it, I feel I really understand the ins-and-outs of how to operate it now [cleanliness is godliness]. Sadly it wasn't until the end of our trimming when I reached ultimate familiarity, but from here on out I've got it down.

Let us know if you want a demo or to grind out a run in the meantime, our services are for hire we like to use it around the way too, not just on our own stuff.. Way better deal then Trimscene's rental, ours come with skilled operators and alot of the ancillary gear that is necessary for an efficient workflow!

Are you not entertained? There isn't enough ganj here for you? YOUR A MADMAN!

No seriously though, the middle section [2 car garage] is being left empty, its our workspace. The overall concept of this design is the individual mobility of the 4x8's. For any work that needs done, we can just unhook the drains, and roll the fixtures out into the middle space where there is ample room for 2 tables being worked on by up to four people and one pushed out off to the side. There is next to ZERO walkspace/wiggleroom in the grow spaces, don't need room for people I always say, just plants! its all hydroponic, just set it and forget it, and work that needs to be done will be done comfortably, in chairs/rolly stools and in a cooler airspace NOT under HID lights.

This is so far the pinnacle of my growspace designs and im extremly happy with the fit, execution, and coming ease of workflow..

Have you had any problems with the rollers wearing into the barrel on your twister ?

Whut?

There are a couple of banded markings kinda at the spot where it bears, but its just because the the bearings rub on the aluminum part of the barrel and the grease/friction/chemistry has affected the surface of the aluminum...

Are you aware of some instance of abnormal wear that I have not come across?

Yeah we decided to not use any lubes, it seems to run best dry... But we clean it midday, and before putting it away.. Very clean, no gunk.... Gotta scrape off all that "Twister Leather"

cool gardens, i like the diversification of open sun and indoor, im on that same shit.

curious as to how you are handling the power situation since you are on residential property? i know you cant use cARE for 29kw must be a pretty pricy power bill.

What Hella failed to mention is...this year was the worst fall in over a decade...we had 220% our average rainfall by the first week of October...many gardens/growers in the area were absolutely devestated by botrytis. :badday:

damn that sounds crazy bad...i guess thats why my area in the eastern sierra foothills (gold country) has seen a huge influx of growers from Mendo and Humboldt. I was checking out a garden in Elk, CA last year that had freaking fog hanging over the garden every morning, mold just waiting to happen.

we only had a little rain in early october, but then nothing but dry sun until november. it was a perfect year to go for long finishers like chem and sour D.

Feed lines connecting to the drip manifold.

Drain lines plumbed together ending in the return sump...
picture.php

Return sump is outside, lower then the slab foundation for proper drainage. The lid is off for viewing, thinking about insulating it, but no more then 2 gallons or so will ever even be sitting in it.

And, after float switch shut-off

Thats interesting . the one i use has the old style barrel and the slats clog fast even when its oiled i cant do more then 1-2lbs before it needs a cleaning.

We have both barrels, I'm not sure exactly what you mean by clogging slats, but I haven't seen anything like that manifest really, definitely some cruddy things to keep an eye out for though when running it ~12 hours a day..

cool gardens, i like the diversification of open sun and indoor, im on that same shit.

Well we have a 200amp service that mathematically should be able to supply our power needs, but when we first lit everything up for flowering before we blew transformers 3 days in a row up and down our little road so now those have been replaced, but then some power-line fuses popped and we just started flip-flopping the sides to lighten the load.. Our wiring is all sound and math is correct, the problems have been on the supply side [power company]

I've been waiting around here for two weeks for the LoCo rant...let's hear it Hella!!!

That warms my 'lil hear that people even cared to here me bitch 'n moan!
Lemme get a few beers in me and I'll revisit this one with some time to constructively formulate my words....

Looking good as usual..

Why the ovehead feed?

Was it so you can move the tables easier?

Ive always tried to keep water/liquids below any electrical in case of O shit moments, like if a worker trips and falls and instinctively grabs that feed line. Most liquids are probably out of the line after the feed, unless your rocking solenoids.

Eh..., why not?

Its clean and out of the way..

All them ring clamps..... :) we're watertight

The feed line drains empty the instant the pump goes off, I put a drip line bypass back into the rez that introduces air into the overhead feedline once the water pressure goes off and it all drains back into the big rez

HellaFella420 gets my vote for "Most Inspirational" gardener of the year hands down !!!
Everything the dude does is over the top as we say . Thank you for the pictures ! They tell the story . Peace to you ! oldschoolgrowe

Tomorrows work; the "otherside"

The spacing with these tables are a little off from our footprint before, by the time we get to the side, the bulbs aren't exactly centered anymore. there is SO much light in this room though, the plants don't even look like they notice!
