Every morning I have to chainsaw and chop firewood. I got 10 cords of tree length seasoned maple for 2 oz of ChemDD. That comes out to $60 per cord. Not bad.

It feels good chopping firewood in 10 F degrees. Life is real. Before this year I used to spend around 200k a year fucking around. Now I barely spend anything. Easy to stack bricks of paper in the mountains. The views are priceless.

Less than a year ago I was living in a homeless shelter in the ghetto. I asked everyone I knew for help after I got robbed in a home invasion. Ojd was the only one who really tried to help me. Ive helped countless people in my life. I never want to be in that position again. I am fully prepared this time. Over 50 pounds have been harvested recently.

Best part about hitting rock bottom is it shows you, without a doubt, who your real friends are :joint:.

Even more props to you Snype.TBH I was a bit jealous of your gig, but you have earned it from what I read, much respect. I ain't quite livin in a homeless shelter yet but really not far from it (or bottom). Sad, but true statement about friends. theyre blowing you up until your out of mustard. I cant really elaborate on my exact situation(similar to your home invasion but different. same end result of being broke though) but I am rowing that boat now myself. Its inspirational to see the timeframe with which you turned things around, because I also desire to live free of Babylon's grip and work to live, not live to work being a slave drone for "the man". Do me one favor though snype, unless you plan on using those accumulated bricks of paper as kindling in the future, turn some of them into gold and silver, or even Chinese Yuan(China about to back their paper money in gold) if you want paper currency...the dollar aint gonna be worth shit soon. just my .02, don't wanna see all your hard work be for not, and any degree of diversification mitigates risk. Keep on living the good life for us to read about. much respect, JVC

I don't know what "friend" means anymore. The word is used too loosely these days.

Seriously, I feel for your situation. Believe me when I say this, anyone who is not handicapped can accomplish what I have. You really have to really believe in yourself and know that you can do anything because you can. You also have to make sacrifices. For example cable is a luxury. Remember, I left my home base and moved hundreds of miles to do this. Don't depend on anyone mentally. Think positive and dont let yourself get overwhelmed. When you have lots of tasks to complete, most important tasks come first. No need to stress about the other tasks until the first one is done. Focus on your products being better than most growers. Automate everything you can so you can focus on the health of your plants. You can PM me anytime to talk about things. I want to see you doing real well within a year. Oh yeah, gold is the obvious investment. Fuck cash. Check out Peter Schiff's gold credit card gold pieces that you can brake down. BTW, i go off grid today for a few days.

Well, Snypette is going to stick around for a couple more days and I will have the internet for that time. I wanted to talk more about my past experiences in other grower methods, specificaly Ebb & Flow. Before RDWC, I ran E&F for over 10 years in multiple locations and I learned a lot. In my early days I would put around 16-20 plants for every 4x6' tray in 4" rockwool cubes with some veg time. Each 4x6' tray had 1,000 watts HPS on a light rail 3.5 so it was easy to maximize yields.

After some time, I didnt want to veg plants so I put more plants per tray. Each plant got 8" and if I still did e&f today, I would use 8" of space per plant and 4'x8' Botanicare white trays with matching 70 Gal rez. That would be 72 plants per tray.

What I learned with this style stated above? Grow donkey dicks. Flood as frequently as you can. I would flood every hour in peak flower. It's not that simlpe. To flood so frequently, you must know some things. Remember we are talking about rockwool. In hydroton I can flood like that alreày. But rockwool? I learned that a smaller cube was better for frequent floods. 2" or 3" cubes were much better for me than 4". They required net pots and I used rinsed hydroton and 8" pots. Once roots were fully established, id flood more often with lights on. At night I only flood 6 hours after.

I will elaborate further another time. Got to eat.

thanks for the kind words and motivation snype. I gotta see how things work out for me in the next few months but I am ready to drop all the bullshit and live how I wanna live. You are absolutely right about not relying on anyone but yourself. If im gonna make it happen, I gotta make it happen. It is a shame in both of our situations the degree to which we helped others and lacked the reciprocity when in dire need. my pool of "friends" dried up real quick but like aforementioned cant rely on anyone but yourself this day and age. I really don't have much to leave behind anymore so making that choice will be easier atleast ha. my head was on straight all along, just had the rug pulled out from under me right when I was about to make something true and legitimate happen. I wasn't grindin to put rims on my ride and go to the titty bar, my goal was to attain a situation quite like you have goin on. And I was oh so close. So its nice to see its feasible especially in a year time frame. thanks for the PM offer I would like to pick your brain on how you make some things happen on the farm, how you manage livestock etc...peace and prosperity to you and yours amigo.

Let's talk about prices. I hear people talking about prices being so low and causing problems for distribution and profits. Ive been moving pounds from 1991 of other peoples product and my own so I know things from analyzing the past.

When you move your products through dealers, it's a matter of time before that situation drys up. This is because profit margin is most important to dealers, not top quality. Why would a dealer want to pay near 5k a pound and only make up to 20% profit when they can get $3k pounds and make an easy 50% profit. Or how about mexican brick still being sold out here for $1000 a pound? Even I dabble in that from time to time for an easy 100% profit. It's all about profit margin.

Does that mean you cant make bank on high price dank? Hell no. What it means is that you need the right customer base. Not dealers. Plenty of people want the best and will pay. The question is, how are you going to find those people? Once you find them, the product moves itself. I have many ways to bypass selling to dealers. The other great thing is that you dont really need to move all your product at once. It will take about 10 weeks for the next crop so divide that crop by 10 weeks. Thats what you have to move per week.

Americans are very wasteful as a whole. A lot of people want the best dank and will pay. Your job is to figure out a process to find them or get raped by other dealers and middlemen. My favorite clients? Universities that cost 40k + per year!

Hey there Snype! Whats hangin' mang'?!
I would love to save for some land waaaaay out in the sticks. Grab like 50 - 100 acres at an auction, MAD CHEAP, for around $50,000 - $60,000 and put a RV on it.
Grow about 50lbs in a summer and use that dough to buy the materials and permits and tools to build my own log cabin. Ill get a Bobcat, a D9 dozer, a bucket loader and all that.
That would be the dream......huh?
1 day......1 day. Until then....your the man! Green Lanterns LIGHT! lol

Oh! ...... about customer base.....
If I didnt grow my own and have the best of the best, then I would be up shits creek without a paddle, in todays market.
There is sooo much Mexi brick for $800 a lb, and the imported Cali high grade (which actually sucks) goes for $3600 a lb or $250 an ounce.
People can make more profit from this.
If you have the right customers and they want only the best, and money doesnt matter, then those are the people that come to me.
My best friends dont buy my top shelf. They buy the Cali and the Mexi and make the money. I cant believe how many peeps in the inner city smoke blunts of Mexi Brick. You wouldnt catch me dead with a blunt of Mexi. LoL. When they smell my flowers they go crazy but can only afford to spend $20 bucks. @ $20 a gram....thats $560 an ounce! So yes...there is still money to be made with high test medical grade. Its about having the right customer base. If I did the Cali thing or the Mexi thing...Ide have to start a whole new customer base.
Even though Ide make alot more money....I couldnt live with myself knowing what they are putting into their bodies and I knew and still did it.

You dont need an auction to find those prices. 1k an acre on a large parcel is easy. Even $500 an acre is doable. I just saw a house and huge barn on 75 acres sell for under 100k not far from me. Its still a buyers market. Owner finance / rent to own with no banks is more common now. Ive bought some houses in my days with 10k down and no banks. It's actually pretty easy. You should see what Snypette just bought with no bank and contracts that I make. One of my tricks, if a house is connected through a realtor, dont waste your time unless you can go through a bank. Deal with owners only.

I really enjoy this thread. I agree with ya snype NO BANK or REALTORS if you can help it. It really is still a buyers market. Especially if you have cash to put down up front. If you can put down 10% to 15% you can almost dictate terms. At least around here in my area. Great thread keep it going!

chopping wood sucks ass. when I was on farm we got hydraulic 4 way splitter. made life easier. but I also sold firewood. did like 60 cords minimum a year a lot more sometimes.my friend delivered trees for free a lot of the time . he had the tree business and the trucks with the crane on em and would drop off loads in my field. he got several cords free and a Christmas tree from the field out back. the fucking stumps were the worst but burned great in my 300+gal hydronic heater. my pad in sandiego was bought from the dead owners daughter. my old lady met her at the estate sale and worked out a deal. we saved a lot of money dealing direct. I wanted the house when I seen the pile of soil and pots in the back yard lol. the lady was real popular in the horticulture society and bred a rose with her name. I cant say what tho as that's an security breach.

like snype, I was homeless, living on the streets of L.A. this time in 2010, however it was due to an opiate addiction and a series of bad decisions. in 2011, I moved back to the Midwest and took the first welding job I could get. I bought my first distressed property in July and started growing. three years later I've got three houses and live very comfortably. with medical mj on the horizon, I know the days of selling 4000$ lbs are numbered, but hopefully with some smart investments I will be ok when this market becomes flooded and prices crash. hopefully I'll be at a warehouse by then and can make up for the lower prices with increased production. I currently have two people who take my flowers to Chicago and get 400 an oz. and am told it's better than what's available to them there, so I know there is potential for even more profit, I just have to make it happen. you a are definitely an inspiration Snype; I'm on the look out for a property of my own out in the middle of nowhere that I can eventually build a green house on and try my hand at some outdoor.
