Burn day, making ashes to add to soil mix.

Caution:

Wood ash is extremely alkaline.
Use with caution.
I screwed up a grow with ash.
Can be added to composting material while cooking, but takes a while to get back to PH neutral.
Google up composting with wood ash before you add it into your mix.

Wuz up blades???? After 74 days of veg in the air pot finally decided that they are well worth it. I believe you can keep a mother plant indefinitely. I took pics after i unwrapped it. I will upload and post. I am working on one of the GQ cuts. Gonna b a surprise for the Dark Grand Poppa. :tiphat:

Any wood thats better than others??? I use oak leaves in soil ( the Gorilla in me ) and oak leaf ashes

Oak leaves in soil are great for long term/recycled soil.
Un-composted leaves can take 2 years in soil before dissolving.
Any ash from any wood or leaf is to my knowledge, equal.

In very acidic soils, ash is valuable as an amendment.
But is detrimental in neutral PH soils.

Thank you for the look out, added before to my beds. Mixing it into soil piles baking for 2014/15.

Was excited to have A fire, it's like the ocean to me, primal and clarifying.

Recycled organic living soil.

I grow all organic eventually I'll jump on the recycled train but for the moment it's just easier mixing up as I need. Good question though sea

Then I'm the same as you seaf0ur. Started on soil, Fox farms, and fertilizer when I started. Switched to hydro for several years, ebb and flow bucket system, then diy five gallon bucket system. Kept the aeroponic cloner, been building my soil inventory for past couple years. Just fed vermi tea and ACT. Works great never had healthier plants through whole grow. 2012 outdoor season made switch off chemicals and spent time on soil, visible difference between dead soil and better card for/living soil. Feed the earth not the plant.
