so I'm back! pfff.. two trade shows and a lot of support and email later I am catching up with the fora.

I am not sure which questions are relevant to answer anymore, so if I missed one please post them again.

As for the Gavita controller and the new DigiStars: They are planned to arrive soon, but it will take a bit of time to distribute them to all the countries and get them into the shops.

For those who have not seen our demo at the trade show I attached the master controller preliminary brochure.

The DigiStars will be the first e-series ballasts suitable for the controller, together with the new LEP270 (different housing, we moved to 270 from 300 to reflect the better efficiency of the new fixture), at the end of the year the new pro-line e-series will follow.

Again, if you have any specific Gavita support questions use the Gavita support at our website, it is impossible for us to give support in so many fora. I'm doing the best I can fellas, but time is limited!
Any more update on the release of the controller and compatable balasts I'm getting ready to set up a room with Gavita 1000 would really love to beable to use the gavita controller

hey wazzup, i've been trying to communicate via email and i think he must be particularly busy as i'm not having much luck getting a reply.
that is very strange, you always get a reply within a day - use the support system. I don't think your email has gone through.

CSA moves in mysterious ways ;). If it was for us we would already ship them, but certification is sometimes a real drag. In China the certification authorities are a lot easier I assure you. We prefer though a certificate that you can trust.

Gavita will start shipments January 2014, controllers, the new DigiStars and the new pro-line e-series. We are really eager to start production.

I have my gavita 600 about 24 inches above canopy, but have had it around 18 and less trying tests. 24 mainly , but run out of room, 18'' with no hassles.

Perfect thank you I really love the set up I'm in the process of changing over my 20 lighter to them . I have notice way more node stacking at the beginning of flower so far from the gavita probably 50% more than my adjust a wings and set uo was so simple love the gavita so far

Ive seen his...
I just bought one.
Woot woot!
I just dont know if Ill be able to use it at 1000W
I do have 9ft ceilings and AC.
Ive tried to run blockbusters without aircooling them and it was too hot even though my AC should be able to handle it without a problem.
I figure if its too hot Ill just dim it and run it in between 600's

It's been a learning curve for sure but I can say I've been able to hit 1150 on some lights for weeks 4-7 and then back them down.

Of course it still all depends on canopy height but I've been doing a better job with that.

I'll also admit that some of the initial problems I was having upon entry to the flower room had to be off gassing in my new room.

I'm not seeing the same sickness in the plants I was for the first few months of the room being used. While the Gavita's may have made the problem worse, they were not the only factor contributing.

Its installed and running 1000W for the first 100 hrs before I toy with it.
Temps are being held perfectly.
The blockbuster with a lumatek and hortilux bulb was 10 degrees hotter for whatever reason.
Although Its an extra 1000W added to the AC and my dehuey doesnt need to run at all, so that might make a difference. The AC kept cycling...
Anyway, this light kicks ass and Im buying another.

With a sea of green you need penetration in your crop. Our reflectors are a lot deeper than the adjustawing. If you do use an adjustawing, according to our measurements it is most effective and uniform in the deep position. Though we sell the pro line as remote too, keep the cords as short as you can because they will cause EMI, as any high frequency remote ballast does. That is why I would recommend an integrated fixture

What do you mean by deep position?

Yo, this is my first post and want to thank everyone for sharing.

Whazzup, there are a lot posts on this thread and frankly a lot of it is over my head, so I haven't read everything. I plan on getting a bunch of the 1000de's and am trying to figure out how many I need and how best to use them. Have plenty of AC, 10' ceilings over 3.5 to 4.5' high scrog. Scrogs are 4' wide and 20' long with 2' halls in between. Please save me countless hours of reading and tell me how you recommend gavita placement and spread? What hood would you recommend? What's the best source in CA? Read a post somewhere that 3 gravitas replace 4 1000w fixtures. Thanks for all the knowledge you have made available.

I just picked one up from the shop. Its v 1.05
Havent been able to find any info on the different versions.
It says July 2011. Is this one outdated?
I was planning on buying a second fixture soon and would like the latest version.
Where should I look for those?
Thanks
