Don't you know how he runs yet Frank ..... its the Corey or guava cut. lol

Dude that is pretty lucky .... not sure if being in the room during a bulb explosion is lucky or not lol ..... I've been in during electric shorts and ballasts blowing ...... and a few floods lol but the floods were human error ( too stoned to turn the water to the res off) lol

Those are some great looking epXmm... .... you got em dialed in with them big dark green/blue fans!! Much respect Mr. OZ

I was away from the holiday thru the weekend, and it always pops up in the back of my mind to prepare to find the house in ashes, as I get close.

I've been lucky, nothing too dramatic, but just last month, as I stood by the stove, barefoot, that one spot was hot as a mofo. My grow is right below so I went to check.
The Lumatek is mounted on a frame of angle-iron w/ 4" clearance to the sub-floor. It was nearing meltdown it seemed. Lady Luck was with me on that one! :)

Yeah, Corey. ;)

G`day Slip

Love the pistil explosion on the Mullum crosses .
I used to be quite scared of exploding lamps . I`ve seen a few pop in the RnR / theatre
industry . But after checking out this vid Jump linked me . I`m amazed at the resilience of the bulbs . Not to mention the enthusiasm of the testers !

HPS vs Water !

Thanks for sharin

Damn bro now that's luck!!! Glad you were around I know things are cramped over there that's bad news!! Watch out for earthquakes and tornados, jeeze!

I've done the flood thing before but it was because I got too high and left the water on LOL

Been chopping the corey all weekend, got more on deck at each spot. Can you say perfect plant?? :)

It's always something, right Slip? That is some luck to be there when it happened. Go buy a scratch ticket!

I've almost done the flood thing, since then I've had the notion "don't walk away from a running faucet/hose" burned into my brain. The thing that I can't shake thinking about is fire. Had an incident years back, entirely unrelated to growing, so something like that is always in the back of my mind. It's a shitty sort of hyper vigilance that I can't kick, going away for a day or two is never as fun as I'd hoped. But complacency kills so you pick your poison, I suppose.

The Corey is quite the find. I can't find anything not to like about her. I've got one going in flower now and day after day she continues to impress. She's starting to set bud sites so the real fun is about to begin. Brand new carbon filter so bring it on, Corey.

Frank, the same exact thing happened to me with the ballast. It arced and caught fire at the plug insert and the fire started running up the cord. I had just come back into the room before going out on a daytrip too. I smelt something burning and sure enough that cheap Sunleaves ballast was fully engaged. That makes 2 of those I've had catch fire on me. I've had others running for yrs without problems but I switched out to all Hydrofarm Power Towers or whatever they're called. No problems yet, I have them all vented with a 4" blower, all connected inline.
I've flooded the place more times than I could count, luckily I have a hole in the floor by the sink. One night I was fixing the basement plumbing and left the tap on in my shop with the drain full of coco. That was a hummer!! Blew my well pump motor and cost me $600:)
Yeah I run the Corey clone and damn me if there isn't anything that clings to you like that stench. My wife won't come near me for a week!
I've had bulbs blow right up and the arc inside cracked the glass and dropped it on the floor but no fires, just toxic debris. Usually they blow up and stay intact but go cloudy inside but they crack the damn glass and you have to crank the socket out with pliers...:)
This is my hastily put together room with the dead center bud being a Tahoe, the fat ones are EP/Mullums. I had/have a bit of a fan leaf issue but hell, it's always something. When I'm off shore in the boat I can see a cell tower near my house from 25 miles at sea and I'm always looking back at it for a smoke plume:).
I'm very superstitious but have no religion. I think my good luck comes from not wearing my seatbelt when I cross a certain bridge!! Now if you read all that Lord bless ya'!!!!

EP/Mullum power cola.:) I wish I'd had a whole plant shot, she's about 3.5 ft tall and one long, fat bud.

This is part of a group of smaller Corey Stardawgs I have in a 20 gal bucket. the pic is a bit lame but the bud on the right is fairly clear. The plant I just took down was a good 4-5ft, these are all around 3ft or so and about 50 days into 12/12 when I took the picture. Sorry I'm kinda wound up tonight, my rooms are churning out killer flowers, thanks to a little help from my friends here at IC. You all know who you are!:thank you:It takes a whole community to grow great weed...

Slip buddy...glad to hear your house didn't start on fire! Reading all these posts about ballasts shorting has me noid. Anyhow...flowers are looking killer man! That Mullum still continues to impress me. Love the dark leaves.

Battled through a couple nutrient problems recently, but the Sour Nevs are just starting to come out of it. I'll keep ya updated brother!

Keep that good luck coming!

Here's my lone Larry x Nev 13 days in, showin' her stretchin' within the confines of the .80 gal. pot.

She just got fed. "Dude, thx, but I'm feeling a little bloated, I'm gonna go lie down."

For comparison, here she is w/ the tallest of my #1 x PK's.
(#1 = MNS 'NL5 x Haze')

I show the #1 x PK cause I know before long Skip will be having to pop some of those too! ;)

Looking good h_l.... I see the red cloth is back out of the washer collecting resin as a back drop again ;)

Those #1xpk should be very interesting ... .... between both of their strechinging I'd bet topping is a must ...... the flavor profiles should be nice too ..... my early chopped #1 smells identical to lemon starburst w a little funk to it..... I'd bet the lime from pk should mix well .....smoking sprite.

Happy looking plants bro!

Wow slip, that ep/mullum has some serious gurthe to her. hot damn!! How many days in now are they? Im imagining what the 2 crosses could have brought to the table.

Shit, im thinking what could have been also if the mullum was really crossed with the g13 if it wasnt mislabeled. that g13 is heavy heavy. so dense. so stout.

tough to tell from photo, the ep/mull cross keep the trich coverage?

love the show as always..... b-safe

HEY! There he is :)
Ya know, I was a little disappointed when Slip told me about the mix up and it wasn't the G like we thought. But, as I started researching on the background of the EP, I felt like it was meant to be :)
Plus, when I smoked some, it seemed like a great compliment. Very up, potent, positive high with clear sativa flavors in a classic fast indica package.

The Mullum does not put out the heavily frosted leaves we see so often these days on chems, OGs and various indicas. The leaves are sparse, ping pong ball nug structure, heavy at the ends.
The calyxes thought are dark, hard, and covered in dry type resin glands. Not wet like some haze resin.

Here is a closeup bud shot of his sister before I hung it to dry:

The density of these nugs are beyond any plant I've ever seen. Hard.

Here's a dry shot:

I wanna see some closeups of the girls too. The tall ones and the shorties. That "power cola" looks like it might be an interesting mix of traits.
I figured Slip is probably choppin/hangin the stardawgs and didn't want to bug him ;-)

Who knows what crosses the mullum male has ahead of him.

Neville's Haze x BB Sativa (B130) AKA Johnny Blaze

Neville's Haze x BB Sativa (B130) AKA Johnny Blaze

warm greetings NH fans-

These 3 are from my F2 grow of JB, and seem to be some of the more
Neville's leaning. I used the lightest green, last-to-reveal-sex male
(out of 5 males total), and the most Neville's leaning female, from
the single pack of JBs I grew out last winter/spring to make these F2s.

8 weeks from seed, all 3 still un-sexed

The big fan leaves remind me of a male Neville's Haze Mango I culled
a few months ago.

cheers!

Yes indeed I've been stuck whacking down Stardawg all week, it's a tough job but it must be done:). This is the last pic I took of the big single cola plant, one of the faster and shorter 3. One of the lower branches from another shorty is coming in from the right. the top of the room is all Tahoe and some other OG hybrids..
I had a bit of leaf burnout when the plant at the top fell over into the bulb on the roof and some yellowing of the fans from some minor mosaic pattern I'm unaware of but the flowers are booming and the EP/Mullums don't mind a bit, there isn't a burnt spot or deformity on any of them. Hopefully I'll be able to grab a shot of the big sativa leaning plants in the other room. The big one in there is loading up with long branches of stacked flowers with hardly a leaf on the whole branches but for the big fans. I can't say enough about the smell, fantastic stuff!:thank you:

This plant is the lady of the bunch, the rest are pigs in comparison.:) She has it all for a sativa style plant, real tight flowers and hardly a leaf on the branches. Great smell too, as exotic as I'd expect. No hazy odors at all, she's more gooey orange cream, something like that.I spent a good while tying the branches up and found the flower clusters to be very sticky, esp compared to her sister below " Cousin it".

The biggest surprise in my rooms is this Sour BX clone I decided to run this round.I have about 7 of these and they're all starting to fade much faster than I'd anticipated. You can still see some of the Nevils in there, the buds have foxtail tops right to the floor. At first I thought I may have had the temps too high but even the buds near the floor with almost no light have this style. The smell is all sour and grape. I cut the mom at 75 and thought I could have gone 80.The clones seem to want to finish by 65-68 days. I'm guessing one of the multiple types of plant in the line is pushing the flower time on this one. I have ecsd plants running side by side and they're going the reg 80, who knows??!!
