vaccuum sealerz

Ok so I'm about to get on a bus Togo out of town and I will be using greyhound and some times they have drug dogs at the bus station... So my question is. I plan on taking a q with me and I planed on vacuum sealing it and to be on the safe side I want to vacuum seal it inside another about five or more times. I will wash my hands after every bag. I will wipe down each bag with alcohol before putting it into the next bag. How does that sound. Would that be good? To much? And how long do you think it will take before the smell seats through? Oh and if anyone has any info they want to add I'm all ears!! Thanks'!!

long ago the grey hound I was in got pulled over. cops had dog search storage under bus . they found what they wanted and boarded bus. didn't bring dog on bus but were asking for id randomly and asking if ya had carry on above ya . they found their guy and left. I had some on me.vac seal is uaually good enough but I would def have it with me not under bus.you should be fine but don't forget scent transferr. smoke a j before ya leave and touch your stuff and the scent is back .some dogs can smell incredibly.

Depends on the plastic used.
Get extra thick plastic that does not allow smells to penetrate the plastic.

Hey Akakta,
I once read the the molecules that the dogs smell can penetrate just about everything over time.
But then there's crazy metal foil reinforced plastic bags, maybe they'll be tight.
Sorry not much useful info from my side, but I'm really interested in any insight the more "experienced" vac sealers might have!
Can you vac seal a bag made out of the right material so well that a dog will not be able to detect anything ??
I guess that would be groundbreaking... Or maybe I'm just not up to date on the subject at all

I heard turkey bags work as well as some other vacuum sealer bags but don't know...

i figured they were watching the guy an had info. waited till we crossed state lines and busted him. i highly doubt it was random as they seemed to know what/who they were after. my friend was on bus long ago when ya could smoke. someone fired up a j and the driver drove to cop shop shut off bus and got it searched and passenger holdin removed.i haven't rode gh in long time it used to be faster to hitchhike lol

do the vacuum sealing in a room/building where you've never had weed before...I advise putting it in a glass jar first as well(new one of course). As far as greyhound goes, I've ridden greyhound "hot" many times, the most dangerous routes are straight west-east shots near the borders, particularly the Mexican border, the buses are sometimes stopped at internal "border checks" that are 10-20 miles inside the US, and they'll run dogs around the cargo holds, never seen them bring a dog onto the bus...have seen a few situations like the guy above described though, where they've searched the cargo area and dragged the corresponding passenger of the bus...might want to do a surveillance run at the station you'll be departing from to see how boarding works there...once I was leaving from Houston and yeah, they brought a dog to check people as they took our tickets to get on the bus...I was third in line, looking forward to the great seat I'd claim, then came the dog lol, I left the line,(felt like it was so obvious what I was doing) went to the bathroom and threw away a fully packed dugout /cry.

Why take weed?
Make hash and a small mason jar well wiped down with alcohol.
Low tech but effective.

I don't gaf what yer dog sez, " got a warrant"? Dogs are notoriously unreliable and a half-assed crim atty. will clean their collective clocks. I was on an island in the Carribean for a month or two hanging with locals and smoking all day every day including the day I returned to the States. Smoked within an hour of my flight home and at JFK dogs were everywhere, didn't even pause at my shit.......seen this more than once. We have rights, don't hesitate to exercise them.

I'd hitch a duffel bag full before I rode the dog.

they aint so bad now I hear. outlets for charging shit and wifi.^^^^^ greyhound was all about sneaking on booze and a few valium to keep the smoking urge away. lol

from the collective wisdom of the former silk road and other sources as well

most plastics will permeate moisture or allow moisture to migrate thru it - if it will let moisture thru it, it will definitely allow vapors, ie scents etc

the best plastics have a metallized or foiled deposited surface, usually on the inside surface - an excellent source is quality potato chip bags as they want a plastic that is moisture proof to keep the chips fresh.

the vacuum bagging isn't going to do much good unless to shrink the size of the pastic down. use a potato chip bag, seal it real well with tape, bag a 2nd time in another chip bag but put some baking soda and sprinkle some tea inside the second bag as well before sealing, again with tape
then a 3rd bag for the "warm & fuzzy" factor

I'm sorry.. but duct taped potato chip bags...?? That wouldn't arouse suspicion at all... not to mention I've never heard, seen, etc anyone shipping MJ or other items in a potato chip bag as a secure measure. Terrible advice IMO. I hope this isn't the kind of wisdom people can expect from Ex-SR members....

Smells will permeate over time, so vac it up multiple times right before you go, cleaning between each seal, wear gloves and you're good.

Personally, I'd make some brownies put them in some tupperware and vac them up...

You need a vapor barrier, pure cellophane, glass, wax. The only way with bags is if you have a nitrogen packer.

actually, 1st, i never said duct tape - clear tape works fine to seal the edges after multiple foldings or rolls.

2nd - the potato chip bag was just a suggestion for a quick handy source, after mentioning potato chip bags as some proof of what i was indicating about being more vapor proof - but did you happen to notice i DID SAY metallized plastic - a lot like the mylar reflective film sold for use as reflective film. As far as the visible detection aspect of using potato chip bags, uhhh....... the OP was asking about drug dog detection, not visible detection. Rolled up or folded up in a number of chip bags, then that kept in a half open bag of chips would sure seem a lot less work than what you suggested.

The metallized plastic wasn't my idea originally - picked up it up on the old silk road - in the link below (story about buying on silk road done by forbes magazine) in the video at the bottom they show the three purchases they made - at 1:02 in the vid you'll take a look at the first packet being opened.

but thanks for the critique, even if you did have to mis-characterize my post to condemn it.

Duct tape, clear tape, any tape... will not create a strong seal to last a long bus ride. Why risk it? Vac sealing a Q will be a tiny lil package one can easily hide. I haven't read the TOS for Greyhound, but I imagine you give up your 4th amendment rights while using their service, just like TSA at airports etc, they can and will (if they want) search your items on their bus, both above and below. A taped up, multiple bagged potato chip bag screams I'm hiding something.

Meanwhile, take the Q that is vac sealed and not much larger than a deck of cards, wear 2 pair of underwear (tighties) and put the package right between them, against your package..... Safest spot it can be. You can get up, move, get off the bus, etc etc without fear of your potato chip bag getting torn, opened while you're in the can... etc.

I was being indignant because your suggestion will get someone arrested.

if I were to do this I would use a mylar bag ,like the chips, they can be resealed by a vac machine but there are mylar bags on line ,need a quality vac machine to seal the heavy mylar though, seal it twice ,use caution and gloves ,each time you seal it not reusing the old ones ,good luck
