well,went to the toys for tots thing,after hanging out for a half hour waiting for some sign things were going to start i dropped my gift off and bailed....got shit to do today...cyclist are apparently as organized as a room full of kittens...

the 100 or so people on bikes with gifts strapped to their handlebars sort of gave it away i thought...i should have stuck around but i had stuff to do and 30 lbs of stuff to haul home...sort of needed an off day from the bike too...so only like 20 miles today! lol,actually i rode two bikes today,i forgot something at the store so i hopped onto the camber since it doesnt have clip in pedals and i can just ride in sandals...i need some better pedals for that bike...think i will take it in for the full on rebuild/cleaning,tuning and whatnot...cost a bit,but i know jack squat about shocks,so better to have the shop go over it and be sure its trail worthy...it makes you want to go faster and go do steeper and rockier slopes...

Too cold to be riding in sandals around here!
Ive got the fireplace loaded full of Oak and hard woods, blasting out the heat. Its still barely keeping this house warm. Some Cali Houses arent built to take the cold. Maybe I need to put some comforters in the windows and turn on the oven?

The dinner was scrumptious! Grilled Lamb, with egyptian Mint sause, Giant sweet carrots, celery, and sweet bell pepper lightly steamed, and tossed with olive oil, garlic, fresh cracked pepper, and sea salt.
Tabouli citrus grain salad on the side, and home made top shelf Chicken Mushroom soup

i made turkey soup tonight with white beans,green chili,and squash...not too cold here,i did turn the heater on this winter...

Turkey soup sounds good. I almost made slow cooked turkey and noodles this weekend. Maybe next.
Its 40 F out there now at 630 pm.

Yeah, some turkey /white bean soup Tuscan style sounds good. I might just have to make some.

I used a nice butter roux for this soup. I browned it medium, and it accented the flavor of the soup and thickened it nicely

you know,not so hot anymore,been doing more cooking and baking since its not a million degrees out.plus its nice to have something already to go when i get home from riding,it tends to burn a lot of calories...
