im exhausted from trimming. this is the second night working on it. on the first we spent about 4 hours on it and tonight about 4 more. the bonsai hero set is working out nicely. i really like them. they are hard to do with foxtailed buds but it is still worth it. i still have one more ppk plant to go as well as 2 little bubblegums that will nice and easy. the bottom lower buds have been left on and tomorrow they will all be stipped off and sent through an auto trimmer.

i had one major issue with this grow. some sort of disaster with one plant pretty much destroyed 1/2 of my biggest plant. im not sure what but from one day to the next a ton of branches just seemed to shrivel up and die off. idk what the hell it was but i didnt like it lol. other than that all is well. i dont expect to meet my GPW goal after losing such a big chunk of a my best plant but i still consider this to be very much a success and learning experience.

stuff is getting moved around and then i will set up the new system and get vegging!

G'day DH :tiphat:

Still learning from your grow thanks very much but sorry to hear about your dying branches .

Not that it could ever happen, but if I started a band, it would be called "Fusarium Wilt".

I wonder how many people have previously mistaken FW for overambitious flushing?

Thanks for sharing this with the unwashed masses mate.

just finished up trimming. i am sort of lying lol. ive still got 4 stumps over there with a lot of larf that will be turned into hash but other than that i am done! im exhausted. me and a buddy busted it out in three evening sessions. my buddy is a non smoker so i offered to throw him some funds and he was more than willing. he was a lifesaver.

the bonsai hero trimmers worked great. if they hadnt foxtailed so bad they would have been even better. next round will be open air so no heat issues and should avoid most the foxtails.

fuck fusarium wilt. fuck it big time. it killed half my biggest plant. other than that it was all smooth sailing. getting pumped for next round with 6kw.

when i first bought my drying rack i dreamed of a day when i would be able to need every layer of the rack. that time has come. i ran out of room on my 6 shelves and had to condense lol. i will have to order another on the 6k grow and possible a third since i plan on dialing in even better. 3 racks. thats my goal and im sticking to it!

the OT bubblegums could have gone longer but i had to chop them anyways. oh well. got my next round of cuts going, got seeds going, life is good. busy, but good.

Strange that you got fusarium wilt, do you think it was a circulation issue?

I had some botrytis one of my last runs. My bros first run in the ppk, he overvegged (even though I said it was time to flip and then the variety had 3x strecth.... we lost a couple zips to rot.....

could be botrytis as they look kinda similar. both are pathogenic fungi. i was flooding every 60 or 90 minutes i believe and there was an aquarium filter in the res so it was always circulating. who knows

got all the popcorn trimmed up! quite the nice pile. I LOVE my hand crank trimmer. saved me a ton of work. i just break up into fun size nugs and throw them in leaf and all. saved my ass big time.

the bubblegum was hard to get a read on since it was harvested early, but it was really leafy and shitty to trim so i may just dump it on that aspect alone lol. i hate leafy shit.

still deciding on the final aspects of the next grow while the clones are rooting. either way i decide to go i already have my PPK all built, i just need to run the hoses.

i love it when people make remarks about a few leaves on the finished product. all i can think of is how many pounds of bud have you trimmed in your life asshole? my guess is noe or you would be thanking me for all my time and effort lol

so......i was nowhere near my goal. i will blame it on the wilt that destroyed half of my biggest plant and the heat build up inherent of working in tents. next round will be much better. i am still happy with how everything turned out but it just could have been better. oh well. life goes on. pulled just under 5. it would be more like 5.25 but three little plants in one corner werent mine and i bet they did about 6+ oz total.

although my GPW was not so good, the end quality is SUPERB and i have extremely high hopes for next round in open air without the heat buildup issues.

Good shit DH,
Just finished drying up my first (somewhat) PPK run for one plant that finished with a dry weight of 15 zips. Not the best i've done for a single plant but we can only get better from here right? i like the simplicity of the PPK.

D9,
time to get your design on High Times and let the world know .

I say "Somewhat" PPK because it wasn't a true PPK grow. I transferred a large plant into a PPK at which time it went through 3 weeks of training prior to flowering. In addition, i used neither Jacks nor RO water for that run, straight Tap and Supernatural. BUT, it was nice to shut down the chiller which i know saved me a bit on the electric bill.

that's were im stuck with horizontal. stuck at 2/3rds a gram per watt.. and with multiple strains.. the times I run full rooms of 1 strain.. I have had the best ever which was 4lbs of primo.. and a bout a lb of larf.. so it worked out good.. but I try not to add my larf as my yield so my harvest weights aren't exact.

Looks good man. Had similar issues with my first couple grows, but live and learn. Next round will be better, (and this round was fucking awesome)
