Posting this in your thread because I know you check it religiously ;) hope you dont mind

I have to move my plants this week... And its snowing, and cold as fuck;

My plan was to rent a Uhaul Trailer, and move them at like 10PM right after my neighbors go to bed. Trip takes about 20 minutes...

Will they Get hella fucked up from being in a freezing trailer for like 30-45 minutes?

Hey dabs I think your plants will be fine! Just make sure you don't have to leave them in there over night and try to get some heat back on them ASAP after you move them quickly.

I also live in a cold ass area during winter time and I have had plants go through the first frost and stay alive as long as it was warm the next day. It made them all turn really purple and shoot resin out like crazy.

Only thing I would worry about is little seedlings that aren't to strong yet. Plants are really Strong and can take some abuse before they die or get really screwed up. Good luck with your move and hope all goes well for you.
Just my 2 cents!

Peace mike

Appreciate the quick response Mike!!!

They definately are healthy and big, so I recon by your definition they will do fine. I gotta get my Subpanel hooked up in my new room and i'll be ready for them. Thats my goal for the next couple days.

No problem plants are usually really resilyant. If they do stress a little they will bounce out of it. As long as you get them right into heat afterward they should take it like it was no problem. Plus don't a lot of those uhaul trucks have like a heaters that vent into the back? What I would do really is kinda wrap a blanket around them which I am sure you will have a black bag or something over them when moving them.

A blanket should help like a moving blanket and that should keep them warmer than it is in the back of the truck. The leaves might get a little messed up for a couple days from having pressure on them but they will bounce back.

Rootzone temp management is key to plant survival with sub-freezing conditions Dabs.....but.....

20 mins or so will shock/stunt em to a certain extent , but insulating/wrapping containers will go a long way in keeping recovery time to a minimum....

Let em dry out before moving to have less water in the rootzone AND the plants for less possibilities of frost forming on roots or foliage...anyways....

Get em back under the lights and they`ll be fine....

Good luck...DHF....:ying:....

Looks like mike has ya covered, Dabs. ..Nice!!!

Nice little Vert community we gotz, eh. ..

I was going to say.
Line the walls of the u haul with moving blankets and fool
around with the GF to warm things up before
having the GF load the truck..

Or ya can go with mikes idea's ...

Either way you should be fine and let the purples shine thru.

Warm vibes headed your way. .

This could be done as simply as lining the floor with a blanket, setting your pots in shopping bags or boxes and filling with rumpled up newspaper - styrofoam peanuts - rags... Or wrap them with a couple layers of bubble wrap.

One of the many things I dig about Vert-Ville...

There is almost always someone in the know and
willing to share the knowledge... :respect:

I'll need to keep this in mind, just incase....

Shit... We have been in the 50s at night around here...
Talk about blizzard conditions.... Sucks but i will make it....

On a different note....

Now this makes sense! :tiphat: +K

Tuned in on the growing brother :lurk: I know I don't post often but I feel bad ruining your post streaks! ;)

Nice tents :good: - have a recommendation for a tent brand that is reliable out of the box for straight up flowering? I too need to monocrop a tent and get a tent for males to collect pollen. But I don't want something that requires me to fine tune it for proper operation only to stress about it later originating to the original problem.

My Sativa loco loves the HID and looks very very healthy and happy. The smart pot is also a big plus - constantly new roots blasting out - roots excellerator is probably worth the 320$ price at hte hydro shop for the gallon. How long will she need for bloom and the stretch is almost none existent. If shes keeper status she'll fill in the gaps between the nodes. Frost initiated!

Lighthouse Hydro Tents EBAY has great prices on them.
are sold in Garden and Hydro stores across the country.

They use only the highest quality materials (All metal frame, 900D Canvas) and are extremely affordable.
Not all tents are created equal. Since 2008, this is the ONLY tent we have recommended to our customers.
The 100% Mylar and Canvas construction is VERY important.
It is the only choice for reflectivity and will not produce toxic gases which are deadly to plants.
900D canvas is 2 to 3 times thicker than most Chinese made tents on the market.
Newly designed for 2012, these tents have an incredible feature set. You will not find a better tent at this price!

The ONLY thing these tents are missing....
A zipper on the back wall....
They have,
Windows on the sides, passive intake screened vents down low.
Every zipper has a canvas cover to block light...
8" and 4" socks for exhaust ducting....
All around A+++

2 cents....

I liked smart pots but I liked Air pots x3 more, due to the rigid frames.
So much so the I have cut up quite a few smarts for fabric patches .lol

I still have like 20 of them though....
Man I have a lot of grow shit....:whee:

That Sativa Loco sounds like the bomb bro....lol
No stretch tho... Surprised to hear that... Mom was a good x2...

u have lots of options to keep them plants ok.. honestly id say grab a few trash barrels or totes fill with hot water.. maybe run an extension cord and heat the back of the truck with a portable heater.. while u move shit out there and get it ready.. then shut that bad boy up with the tubs of water closed.. wen u park it wherever.. open the lids.. and it should keep ur air temp ok..

then u could water your plants with warmer water then normal and that will keep your rootzone temps high enough for an hour. im sure it will be fine.
