The Blue Cheese harvest went very well, I estimate total yield at about 65g from the 1 plant that was about 8in tall when it entered flowering. Here she is all hunkered down for the cure:

I tried out the Sublime sample from day 69 about an hour ago, and HOLY CRAP that high came up outta nowhere! For the first 30 minutes or so it all felt the same as the week 9 stuff, which is wispy, clear but strong, and short-lived. But then after a while, I realized there was a bottom end to the high as well, which is sticking with me long past when the week 9 stuff would have fizzled out. Feels like a good classic mexican sativa high, with something calming in there. I feel like I drank 2 cups of coffee, my hands are shaking, but my stomach isn't tight at all, and I don't feel any anxiety, which is strange since my mind is racing.
I think one more week should be enough on these.
Now I'm gonna see how high the ceiling goes ... hehehehehe

Trich development has exploded since I reduced light hours. I have them on 10/14 right now, gonna take them down to 8/16 tomorrow, give a nice cold watering (filtered tap), then I may light deprive all day Saturday or Sunday then chop Sunday or Monday ...

I started lowering them about 5 days ago. I didn't stick to the original plan. I took them back 30 mins one day, 30 more the next, then another hour on the third day, then stuck with that for a few days. That's 10 hours of light. Tomorrow night I'll go down to 8 hours, then chop on Sunday or Monday. This is the first time I've really tried it too, but I know for sure that plants flowered with fewer hours of light will finish faster than plants flowered with 12 hours of light, so it can't hurt. From what I can tell it's had an incredible impact on the Sublimes, but very little impact on the PPKs.
I've had to revise my schedule a little because it's working so well for me. Either that, or these plants were just ready to finish, or a probably little of both, I think. It was sort of a last-ditch thing just to make sure these plants would actually finish in time, and I haven't seen amber yet, but almost all the clear trichs have disappeared at this point, and they are swelling like crazy. I took 2 small samples last night, one from near the top and one from near the bottom of 2 different plants. The bottom branch was an accident. I'll try them out Sat or Sun just to make sure I'm ok with the state of the high before I chop them. They are looking flush with trichs now tho, and it seems to be all of a sudden, starting the second night or so of the light shortening. I'll keep you updated oh how it goes.

Here's my running total after trimming and jarring up the first batch of PPKs. This is for my records, since I lose paper, and I go through about 2 new hard drives a year.

I got the PPK branches I cut trimmed up -- I was fairly pleased with the weight. Not the heaviest in the lot, and actually the lightest by far, but for the quality it puts out ... oh, the quaaality ... this is some real deal indica 
Knocks your socks off, definitely the winner this round for potency and flavor, Blue Cheese was certainly some stiff competition. I can't wait to take the other 2/3 - 3/4 down. I'll bet I get 1.5lb altogether out of them, average maybe 2oz per plant, whereas I'll likely get 3 - 3.5 from the Sublimes. Here are some pics ...

Ok, I see amber trichs on over half of the Sublimes in the room, time to chop. I think I'll do it tomorrow morning. They're in darkness right now, trying to bring a little bit more maturity and flavor out in them. I honestly thought I wouldn't have a chance to see them mature.
I verified (a little late in the game, hehe) that these Sublimes are not a fire OG cross like I had thought. They are Raskal OG, yes, but they are crossed with his high CBD pheno, which explains the bizarre buzz I get from it, and the apparent lack of quality. These buds are certainly not 'dank,' but as a daytime smoke I don't think I'd trade it for the world. I can't wait until it's actually cured and doesn't just taste like hay.

For the record, shortening the light hours helped speed things along pretty well, but giving them a few days of pitch black really freaking worked. Like a charm. Everything ripened up real fast after the first 24 hrs of dark. I let them go about 56 hours in dark.
