Agree to disagree. That may be the method in which you get the best results but weaving is in no way a requirement for SCROGs

*sorry for the thread derailment. Discounting the methods of others is one of my peeves. IMHO there is no single way to do anything and some of the best growers I personally know are also the most unorthodox. Constructive criticism is one thing...

you cant agree to disagree that's the whole point. a scrog is a scrog. its a form of lst(low stress training) therefore you need to train it by tucking/weaving tying etc. and tbh one of my peeves is people who read a post and still manage to twist it completely into something else. theres a million ways to skin a cat but a scrog is a scrog. I didn't discreadit anyone.. il make that clear again. Ive seen some fire on this thread so I respect to those who are sharing their techniques:)

If you weave.... and have to move it again..... will you ever be able to without mangling it? If there is no real advantage gained by weaving why do it? I dont scrog... But I'm scrog-curious....

or does weaving as opposed to folding under and lining up the branches have some positive effect? repetitive supercropping? at what point is that just stress?

Sifted...that is like me getting annoyed by folks forgetting that SOG is 4 plants per sq ft in 6" square pots...vs anything that is grown single cola in a tight space....

ROFL.

Why do you have to weave when you can simply bend it down and tuck it in? But yeah, I have no idea what a scrog is, nor do I grow with that technique :good:

Anyhow, here's some GG#4

She made have had a little work done to her

I know you know whats up with scrog but heres why i keep mentioning the weaving technique.
picture.php

If you do this from day 1-21, you end up with extreme control over your canopies height and distance from your lights. Not to mention, more tops than most people ever see. You can top a mom to death and make a big bush with lots of terminals. However, if you don't weave those tops you are likely ending up with a smaller yield, even on the big bush. It is SO NICE to have a completely weaved canopy from day 1. The training is constant for 3 weeks, every other day. If you do it, i doubt you will ever go back. You get more even light penetration with an even canopy as well. This does not apply to strains that don't more than double in height after onset. So yeah, GG4 is a good candidate and Ogs and other stretchy things respond amazingly well. I won't mention this method again because i feel like i have too many times. I hope i see someone utilize it on the GG4. Tops can be weaved anytime as long as stretch is still occurring. Ive not weaved until day 7-10 before. Doing it from day 1 is the tits though. :) Ive seen yields go up 50-100% since i learned this depending on the strain.

if its not weaved its not a scrog! i agree. tbh i notice that people think scrogging its just putting it it under a net/frame. efficient scrogs for yield take a few weeks of training/tucking etc and increase yield considerably.

no. the concept of scrog is weaving into the screen.. hence
screen-of-green. eg scrog.

sticking a bush under a net isn't scrog. I know it sounds picky but it really is a much different technique. the plant behaves very differently.

edit* infact if you hover your pointer over the word ''scrog'' you will get a detailed explaination of what it is.

well bending and tucking is fine, similar. but by tying a branch horizontally, instead of letting it stay vertical, each branch will form multiple budsites without topping.
its mainly what I do. it always out-yields bushes ime.

like I said I don't mean to pick a fight but its a specific method to increase yield so shouldn't be confused with supporting nets etc.

btw.. good luck with the seeds!

dood. you just made 3 argumentative posts trying to school Krust on the Official Right & Proper Definition of a Scrog without offering so much as a single picture of some fire ass ganja. excuse me for saying so, but this is definitely the other kind of suck. the old kind. please stop. if you need help, maybe twist one up or take an enema or go have some sex or something. fight picking happens in the eagle 20 thread. we do the other thing here.

in other news, we're in full bloom over at my place. blossoms are all set and frosting up by the minute.
