yea i just take a little spoon full and drop it on my bowl.... looks a little crude but works great. A man can get really high taking a bubbly pic all by himself :) The imports we smoked as a kid were always pressed ... but the awesome hash we make as adults ive always preferred to not squish the trichs before puffin.

i don't know EE. but that hash looks like Moroccan slate, put some fire to it and show us a melt shot. to me it looks like top quality normal dry sift, not full melt clear dome dry sift. mind you i know that pressing is useful for transport and distribution, but for personal, i agree with Babba, leave it unpressed. still would love to try some in my steamroller :bongsmi:

beautiful coloring and looking nice and melty.

is that ready for use, or will you let it cure? or did you already let the trim cure?

Trim has been curing a couple months, if you have some left from the previous years it can cure if not it is ready for use NOW. Ha Ha. I have actually been vaping some of the really late purple weed. I do take a few puffs of it as soon as i finish it, and a few in the evening. I find it is different depending on the strain and the year, like wine. I have some purple kief, I am going to clean that up next.

I'm with the other guys who don't press their dry sift.. as well as Sam.. I have never done it and only did it once or twice recently just to play with a bit. Just prefer it loose for some reason.. it seems to smoke better, but maybe that's just my bias from doing it like this all these years.

As for the pictures.. this is what I use:

$38 + free shipping.

To my eye.. that doesn't look anything like what I make through my screen setup.. color wise or color after being pressed, which is strange. Wonder if the temps you're doing it in have any effect on that?

I wouldn't think so, but.. ? Is there any reason you can think of why yours didn't turn black/shiny like the other stuff posted?

I have never pressed any of mine so I can't say, lol.

The black shiny was two years old in those photos. As i say some strains color is slightly different. I have made it from purple and the hash looked purple. I have seen it from light amber to black, purple, the aa grade always melts. I have always pressed it otherwise it is really difficult to take anywhere, and any warmth it presses on it's own anyway. The powder is always white in fact you can press it flat as paper roll it back up freeze it and it will be white again.

TAP plastics sells polypropylene vials in assorted sizes with very tight snap lids with hinges. I can get like 5 grams into a small one of those and it'll slide into even a 3rd key pocket in a pair of jeans w/o anyone noticing.

Give it a flick or two and it'll break right up.

That scope says it will work with a mac, as soon as my credit card cycle rolls over i'll give it a try, bought too many toys this month. If I put mine in anything and put it in my pocket it would be goo as soon as it got warm...

Polypropylene is non porous and keeps heat out quite well.

I haven't had an issue with clumping or anything in years using these vials. Other vials were garbage in comparison for storing/transporting this stuff. It won't stick at all.

They're ~40c a pop.

I have a feeling yourself, me, sam, etc. are making similar products. Give those vials a shot if you have a tap near you, or order 'em online.

Gai,I am sure it does look like high grade Moroccan, they sifted the kief as well. Hash was either sifted or rubbed off the plant, that's all they had.

Back in the day, some of the Amsterdam places had some stores that you could take your weed to and they would tumble it for you in something that looked like a small clothes dryer. They got to keep the left overs.

I am hoping this gets people thinking and working to figure it out, it isn't rocket science. I have a usb scope i just cant seem to get it to work on my mac. Temp is under 40* humidity is around 30%. First tumble is three min second is ten min. No more than half hour clean
Much love and blessings to one and all,

Hi Ester

Is that a slab of plastic, maybe nylon, under your screens?

The weather/environmental conditions you have repeatedly mentioned are ideal for static electricity buildup.

Hmm... nylon can build up a pretty good positive static charge, and conditions ideal for static buildup...

Much love and blessings,
