My apologies for not answering promptly... Apparently, now that Skip has helped join my accounts, I have 657 unanswered PMs going back to 2010...

Will slowly try to answer all individually, but easier if we just start fresh, since it has been a couple years...

Aww, geez, guys... Ya got me tearing up & shit. Gonna ruin my contact lenses this way...

No way can I read all that. My eyes are an issue these days, altho are supposedly "improving," as I can now do with street reading glasses & contacts instead of prescription for both...

Just was shocked when Skip merged my profiles that so many remembered me. I bet y'all thot I was dead or something...

Should have been here sooner, but have been really working hard to build a place in the forest (from trees hubs cut - all done with chainsaw, hammer, pry bar, rope, level, square, plumb line & string... amazing man)... Only 400 sq ft but will suit us just fine for awhile before we sell it when the street comes thru...

We have no water, electricity or road, so we're using a "redneck rain trap" I sewed out of some old Tyvek I was blessed with & an old 1,000 liter tank... Drinking water we lug in jugs from the corner, free.

Septic is dug, but fulla water at the moment. Brown water from the eucalyptus like they have in bore water in Oz... <nod to Oldie> Place is practically under water.

If they don't quit HAARPING around the S. Atlantic, I'm gonna hafta cipher out a way to grow in snorkel & fins... Not happy atm.

Hubs is in TX on a 90-day contract & will return mid-Feb with some loot so we can recover from last year's disaster(s)... And get a small truck (diesel = cheaper) that can serve as a goatmobile... ;p

The little town where we settled has boomed from 1,300 peeps to more than 2,700 year-round residents (like us). We be not liking of the changes... Dumpsters make it hard to go shopping for cool stuff. Also, big hotel coming in at the point, so they're running off the folks in 'ranchitos.'

We're planning to build this place, deck it all round, make a tourist or weekend heaven out of it, front & back screen porches, gardens & greenhouse behind, blackberries, grapes & all the shit, flowers, bees, every herb imaginable... But step by step. We still have 1/2 the roof to finish yet. Good tarps over the rest, so it's dry.

Neighbor has a sawmill & delivers eucalyptus sawdust "mountains" which we use in our "loveable loo" (see YouTube)... ;p Works great, no odors, just a duty for hubs to bury about 2-3x weekly. (Well, hell, I do the laundry with brush & soap! No?)

Anyway, bit by bit, we go forward.

Really touched my heart so many kept trying to communicate with me while I've been resettling. Very humbled.
