What's new

bobblehead's organic bedroom of high brix gardening

I haven't hooked it up yet. I'm going to put a trash can below it and tubing draining to the trash can. I also have to tape up the inside, and attach the air filter. Right now it cycles on and off. I don't have any noticeable condensation. I'm sure when I drop the temps in a couple weeks that will change.

8kw light + 5 tons of ac + 200 pt dehuey + fogger + CO2 burner = total environmental control. I'm loving life right now.

:)

Look forward to seeing your end result:)

beds are looking killer bobbles, would you mind posting a pic of the solenoid used for your co2 genny, I have yet to set mine up yet as I was kind of waiting for you to iron the kinks out. I've just finished construction of two 10x12 rooms at a third property and will be sealing at least one and hooking up the co2. I will most likely be running beds in this new spot. I harvested a little better than 50oz from my beds last harvest, and this run was ravaged by mites and 1/2 of the bed never even really swelled up.... I'm filling it up with wifi this weekend and I feel I can crush my personal yield in these things with a bit more dialage. so far, the beds seem to be the easiest to maintain after the initial set up. my big ppk room suffered bc I was stretched thin between my job and multiple grows and just didn't have enough time and energy to crawl around under these big trees while trying to avoid fans, pvc, and hoses on the floor.

You sir... Are seeing the light. Welcome to the other side. :peacock: Less time crawling around and fixing things, more time to grow more weed.

New Aquaking CO2 burner. I burned through the rest of my propane last night, so I must have a leak in the room.

The solenoid is hooked up to the CO2 controller. I need to pick up some hose clamps cause I have a little bit of drip.

and I really did box up the DPDT relay controlling my dehuey.

Thanks guys. I couldn't be happier with my results right now. I'm still making plenty of mistakes, but obviously I've improved by leap and bounds! We have some top notch growers here on ic to learn from.

So I got the CO2 cranking again, and the Death Star bed started yellowing out. I sprayed the plants with some epsom, and gave them a root drench with some tea. The fading didn't slow until I ran out of propane after only about a week. I think I have some leaks. I had stopped feeding teas around week 3, so in the future I think I'll keep that up for longer. Also I won't bump the CO2 up in the middle of the grow when it hasn't been running the first few weeks. That just sends the plants into overdrive without enough nutrients available to keep up.

@7 weeks- I've been defoliating the Death Star bed every couple of days, removing only the yellow/purple leaves.

Sorry the pics aren't the best guys. I've been real busy and I just pop in the grow for 30-60 mins a day. Next time I'll remember cut the lights off. The next grow is going to be even better after I patch up my room and get it cleaned up!

That's what i'm talking about Bobble, some serious hand ache and callus coming your way trimming all that well done! K+

Flush?? We no flush in organics Bobble  Teas all the way you soil is your life!!!

I had an Idea Bobble, maybe you could cover crop beds in rotation permaculture style, what is chopped from one above soil biomass could be topdressing for the growing weed beds. You could have a quick snack while your in the room for those 30-60 mins grab lunch!

You mean like this? The soil mites and other arthropods eat the leaves and some other ammendments, their shit feeds the bacteria and fungi that are also breaking down other ammendments, and the worms and protozoa eat the bacteria and spread the nutrients they consumed all around and stuff like that... Whole lot of biology going on in these beds.

I wasn't intentionally flushing... I just didn't know to feed teas till the end. Now I do.

Yeah I know its bad ass! I wasn't saying you were lacking I was trying to get you to cover crop a bed. Can the room run on cost and profit for on flower cycle with a bed each grow nurse cropping?? I know your growing weed Bobble, just thought some Achillea millefolium as a cover crop to boost essential oils in the cannabis. Yarrow is an excellent companion to herbs.

Take care Bobble. Love the bedroom!

Oh you're talking about cover cropping with clover or something.... I've thought about it... but I'd rather just add more amendments and have the soil tested for now. In the summer I'll cut down on lights and take a bed out of rotation. Who knows, I could even shut down the whole room for say July and August, and cover crop the whole room.
