I cant remember who it was, but one auto supply store had a diatomite variety that I preferred. It was much harder and almost green and gray in color compared to the tan and pink/red sutff that MY napas were stocked with at the time. It might be worth it to check out different options if they are easily available.

D9 I feel like a broken record but its so funny to see you on the diatomite now, and I still havent tried turface. Its a pita to get around here unless your a commercial landscaper..

We are reusing our pumice this run, everything seems to be running smoothly so far.

i had a 3.5 holesaw laying around and the bucket lids i will cut by hand with a razor. i should have mine all set up within the next couple weeks. im not in a real big hurry since i need to wait for my harvest to clear up room.

speaking of which, my first PPK harvest is coming down soon. its in the 4 plant, 5 light setup with a 1k in center and 6's in the corners. i cant wait to see if i do good on my gpw or not. they are coming down in about 20 days

looking forward to seeing the numbers.

I think im still gonna give a scrog a go for the first run, i had huge success with supercropping my flock plants DJM style. I think it would be as good if not better in PPK

Yes it's in the electrical section at Lowes, 3" male and female electrical conduit fittings with the male piece sawed off to be flush with the base of the tub.

Flat 9, be careful buying shit from that site. trust me Ive spent over 30k with them in the last year. They sell alot crappy stuff and leave it to you to deal with the manufacture. Good luck with that.. In fact half of the products they are selling are from a now defunct company...CAP aka R and M supply.. I just had to deal with a shitty cycle timer from the SAME SITE...and it was a pita to get things sorted..I have had 4 or 5 of 16 brand new 1k ballasts not work, luckily I had a good relationship locally and they were exchanged..

Being that you live in washington, you should make friends with a local store. It may be more expensive, but it pays for itself when you have to do a return or an exchange.

The cycle timer you showed may be fine, just dont want you to get stiffed..

Thanks for the advice. Actually most of the stuff I order from Amazon (2 day shipping can't be beat), and there is indeed a Hydro store about 10 minutes away that I can buy stuff from, but at any Hydro store you're going to pay an extra 25% at least.

That place is actually based out of WA but they're mail order only. Didn't know someone had a bad experience, so that's good feedback. But to be clear, that unit is made by a company called "Innovative Grower" and can be found at many different stores, e.g., GreenTrees: http://www.hydroponics.net/i/138938
