I would go either this or this. I have the first one, and am very impressed so far in a 16x16 inch tent, and I would say it's usable footprint could be stretched to 24-30 inches depending on lens choice and height. I could see it at the center of the grow area with some of your existing CFL around the sides, and you should have a considerable inmprovement ;) . I would go the latter if you wanted to get closer to your budget limit and get the maximum wattage possible for your budget. Let me know what you are leaning towards and we can come up with a spectrum/lens combo.

what is (latter) mean?

Im just looking for something that will work well for flowering in the amount of space I have to work with. and that wont burn my plants. the temps in there now is around 70-77F.

grow spot size is 4ft tall by 3 1/2 feet wide and 9-10ft deep. and my price range is 200 or less. but Im only using a space size of 4ft tall, 3 1/2 ft wide and 3ft deep. not the whole 9 ft deep.

my hope is that if I get one that my garden will explode with growth after putting the LED grow light in there.

No.... no way. All those made in USA fixtures are all made in the USA! lmfao. No way they put a few screws together and "assemble" it in the USA.....

Nice link :D

Remote ballast... What? Why? They use several small power supplies.

They have liquid cooling systems for computer components, you could rig one up for your LED... but I think it's a waste of extra electricity and cost.

Duct the lights? I haven't seen/heard of anyone with a heat problem using LEDs

.... I'm confused...

Most panels don't have a heat problem but some do

My noah 4 raised room temp from ambient 80 to 95+

Saw something on the clw forum where someone went as far as making a heat manifold to duct away the heat from his solarstorm. Reduced temps like 20 degrees or something crazy...

It's more noticeable when you live in a hot ènvironment and can't afford more than a few degrees rise

What I meant was the second unit would be closer to your max budget and also get you more watts of power. The first ones like $20 cheaper, but has 24 less diodes, so less power slightly. Either one will give you a nice core footprint of about 2x2' for flowering with usable light beyond that that your cfls should supplement nicely. Will definetily help raise the PAR in your area. For refference I think you should reffer to your space as 3x3' since it's easier to plan for and picture.

anyone heard of people growing using industrial led lamps?

produced to replaced the HPS or MH in warehouses and such?

here's an example:

http://longsun-led.en.alibaba.com/p...ed_high_bay_light_led_light_with_CE_ROHS.html

with 150W, 12000 lumens and 2700k to 6500k spectrums. dunno if the spectrum is all together or if you choose from warm, neutral and cold whites.

price is about 1 dollar per watt too.

sounds like they'd be able to grow good bud, plus using whites only, kinda like using pll lamps but with led instead.

peace

cheese, they seem to be the exact same light... same lumens, same spectrum, same serial number, same number of years of warranty.

weird the price difference, same manufacturer too

Any reports on Area51 light? Trying to help a friend.

FYI, GrowStealthLED is out of business. Looks like DormGrow is selling their units.

Hey yall, i am looking in to getteing a LED. I have two options for my small space. A CLW 200w Full Ciclo, or a Growblu 120x3W Full Spectrum which draws a 100w more, for 100 dollars more. My space has a footprint of 3x2 with and maximum height of 6 feet, but I pretend to keep the plants on the smaller side with a maximum of 3 plants. What do you guys think?

Any help will be appreciated.

As in addition to the information above:

I"ll be using the new LED system to replace a 250w HPS for the scorching summer back here in Brasil. If I get the Growblu 120x3W, which draws 250w from the wall, would i be adding pretty much the same amount of heat in my room as the HPS? Or the heat will be more controllable? Last summer I was getting from high 90's to almost 110 Fahrenheit, with an exhauster that can pull 467 - Max.: 552 m³/h to the window, outside the apartment. Which i think is pretty hot. Cannot afford an AC either.

hello avoide!

imo, the led panel would be a better investment than a cfl setup, since the led lamp will have a much longer life-span basically.

also, the heat a well designed led lamp produces is much easier to handle than that of a hps.

those growblu apollo lamps look awesome and have seen many grow reports using only those panels and they are amazing.

I'm also trying to zoom in on a nice led lamp, but still have not decided on which.

good luck!

Hey bombadil.360.

Thank you for the response. But actually I didn't mean a CFL light, but the California Light Works 200w LEDs. ´

Imma take a better look on the growblu, as I haven~t seen many.

Just got a 180watt led grow light and it makes a LOUD HUMMING SOUND and I feel NERVOUS about using it.
Also it seems a bit bright for the amount of space its would be in which is 3' wide 4' tall .

Ordered it cuz the seller is a top rated seller and it looked like a great light.
Sent the people I got it from a message telling them wanna send it back because of the loud humming sound. they have a return in 14 days for money back.

Too bad, #1Cheesebuds. But on the other hand, that loud sound could indicate that the problem with the unit, most likely, is with the fans. If you like the unit I would keep it and just exchange the fans for better ones, you can get really good fans for real cheap. But seems like you think the light might be too much, so its better to just return.

:comfort:

Hey cheese, I have bought three lights from aliexpress and I'm happy with them. Two 25x3 UFO's ($65 US ea.) and one 75x3 Nova UFO, advertised as a 140 ($164 US). Hot deals, free delivery and all are providing for nice dense buds. Mind you I'm a micro guy.

EDIT: Sadly, A 51 stopped communicating.

Good news (even better?), I hooked up with BML Horticulture.

Should have 2 light bars soon, and later a Spyder 600

Quite a few excellent A 51 grows on RIU. I am in the loop to get the new 2014 (all white) to do a thread here:tiphat:
