Golden Tiger

One week later than my picture above and my Golden Tigers have doubled in size.

I am vegging for cuts for a sea of green GT grow. At least I can move this young male that just showed sex

picture.php

This is from 3 day old jiffy pot seedlings put into gallon pots on 10.25.13 so i was surprised to see one sex already - especially under 24 hour light.

These GTs are some of the most vigorous I've grown. I kept the LED right on top of them to shorten the internodes. This usually works well, like on the PCKs started at the same time:

Hi Claude Hopper,

Your seedlings look indeed very healthy and compact, you are doing a great job with the LEDs, hope you find a nice females from both strains. Good luck!

thank you.

latitude was 42N. but very warm maritime climate. no problems with maturing we had really nice wather this fall. harvested on 4/11. it is still drying, whole plant hanged.

summer was extremly dry. three and a half months without any segnificant rain. I couldn't water them more than once a week to keep them alive. these girl could have get much bigger with some summer storm. extreme vigour and drought tolerance compared to other plants.

same plant 3 weeks before harvest.

^ this golden tiger from 2012 is still improving in smell and taste in a very positive way. delicious orange flavored cigar box smell coming off the bag. totally unexpected smells. the taste is very smooth and melded like a good cigar is after proper aging. the colors are turning very nice as well.

potency is very strong. high from this malawi dominate pheno is narcotic and very pleasant.

a clone from one of 3 seeds I popped in October:

Not much to look at, but the sparse foliage lets light travel deep down her 75 cm length.

This wispy girl is in a 16 oz party cup. The others are in larger containers and needed a bit of LST to keep them in line.

Panama is high on my wish list.

But I'm having fun trying to tame this GT down. I'm glad that I used clones in smallish containers. BTW, GT clones quickly.

Now if I can just keep them watered as they fill out.

Hi Tiami,

I know what you mean, weather here is similar, coastal warm climate, but the summer is very hot and dry, almost 3 months without rains makes very difficult a guerrilla plant to survive without frequent attentions. The summer rains before flowering are always a bless.

Despite the lack of water, your Golden Tiger really grew big and yielded well too. Im glad your season was good!!

Golden Tiger on 11 November.

Great plant, seems more psychedelic than the Malawi of last year, love the smoke, still curing, but already pretty much on a par with the Amnesia. A more delayed buzz, but cleaner and with noticeably more duration. 4 hours of crazy shit.

4 hours of crazy shit :D That is! Did she come from a standard or fem seed ? What a tree, man Great job!

Hopefully we meet again soon ChaosCatalunya ;)

Since I've trimmed the hours to 11-13 2 weeks ago I have seen some nice changes. This is 8 weeks since I started 12-12:

I'm fascinated by the beautiful long lash-like pistils!

I'm running these in small containers from 2 & 1 liter bottles. The grow area is 32" x 32" under a 400 watt digital HPS with 200 watts of LED sidelighting.

These are really packed into my grow space when I'm not watering or taking a picture. The sparce foliage helps with light penetration. My much heavier foliaged PCKs were just taken out for more room for these GTs.

I usually use Sunshine Mix #4 and Maxibloom. Its always worked a charm for me. This time I couldnt find it locally and didnt want to wait for a drive to the city. Miracle Grow sucks for these sativas. Its way too hot and burned my clones badly.

It's been 18 days since I posted a picture.

I took quite a few clones from each of the two mothers and there are two very distinct phenotypes. One is so very wispy. Its pistils are small and have a blueish tint:

The other pheno is more robust, has very long pistils and is a much fuller plant.

Frost is forming nicely now but my photographic skills aren't much.

2005pm,

None on this grow. I only use the Maxi with Sunshine.

This grow was Miracle Grow. I had it on hand from some potted Tomatoes. I knew the miracle grow was prefertilized but I didn't know it was that hot.
