Additional comments:
Albert Walker is a strain best known by the fans of the grateful dead, and was grown by their circle exclusively in WA until lately. The buds have an insane appeal to them, bright fire orange hairs are highlighted by the white, crystalline background of the bracts giving this sample an aura of pure dankness. The smell has a warmth that collects in your nose, making each whiff unique. If you smell too fast you would only get some of the smell, same with if you inhaled to fast, which made pinpointing this aroma very difficult. In case you don't know what a jack fruit is it's a tropical melon. This bud is unique in that over the course of the cure the smell evolves from fruity terpenes into a garlic funk, this sample was cut about a week ago so it has had little time to dry fully, still retaining most of those fruity notes. I also should note that this sample had undergone stress due to a hot soil mix and this could have affected the terpene profile. The buds were dense in the middle with little bud towers coming off of the larger colas.

Smoke test comments:
The smoke from this sample was a little light in the taste department. There was a hint of the tangerine smell still present but the rest of the flavors were gone replaced by a light hashy funk that persisted through the bowl. A noticed that samples smoked out of a 2 foot water bong were much more flavorful than directly out of my steamroller. The material itself was a little floppy, which I would attribute to the harshness of the smoke, and also the lesser expansion before the exhale.

Final Comment:
This Albert Walker was a very heavy smoke that was intense in both smell and effect. People really enjoyed themselves smoking the AW, it would make even the stupidest thing/joke worth laughing about until your face hurt, however, the high didn't effect your mood to make everything a joke. Sounds sometimes lightly echoed in my ears, the sounds of birds calling and the snores from my dog. This weed was very social, but it also would stop you for a minute in thought. I kept getting paranoid about things that weren't worth being paranoid about. But I was relaxed enough to not make me anxious about my paranoia. It was hard to remember things that were just said, and thoughts and were just thought of. In the beginning of the high your vision gets hazy and I was totally red eyed. Highly enjoyable to say the least, the Albert Walker is true quality and I can see why this cutting was held so close to the chest for so long. If you have the chance to try the Albert you wont regret it!

one of THE finickiest plants i have ever tried to grow, but once done right, there are few out there that can truly compete with her imho. nice report, i thought she had more flavor than what you are describing but could just be me. aloha

Agreed, Flyinhawawyn, she is pretty finicky but the flowers are more then worth it. I have seen Albert Walker flowers that are equal to some phenos of the WIFI in looks, F'N frost town.

I agree the flavor is normally stronger on other samples, this one went through a little stress early on and that taste/smell translated into the dried flowers. It was this growers first try on the Albert so I'm sure it will only get better with time. IMO this sample needs more curing time to have the taste really shine through.

I'm surprised to see so few comments about the AW, there is practically no information on it anywhere. I'll keep on putting up smoke reports of the AW as it cures. A few weeks in a jar and the AW has a Garlic funk that can not be ignored. Here's hoping my nugget makes it a few more weeks :smokeit:

Man, no mention of yield? This bitch puts out like a two dollar whore. Tangerines is right on the nose. I have heard the other half called garlic, baby shit or 'funk'. You did a nice job trying to explain it.. To me, it's like bbq'd tangerines with just a hint of soy/teriyaki and rot.

Is this any relation to Chemdog or whatever other Dead concert strain there is? Good report btw.

Yesum damn u know I never thought of it before but now I think there is def a possibility of chem genes in there somewhere... I would have to say out of the chems the 4 would be closest but nowhere close to aw in tangerine dept but def similarities in there.... The dates groups and other shit make since but I would be mo incline to say chem has Albert walker in it since aw been around longer.... Maybe aw x skunk is the real makeup of chemdawg...

Don't be ridiculous ...... How are you going to put that together? The Chemdog sack from CO and the Clone Al walker that ThaDocta sourced aren't geographically from the same places ..and do you know all the people involved to make claims like "the dates groups and other shit makes since"

Soon DNA tests will tell all....

There isn't any chemdawg in these genes.. the AW and Chem are two separate beasts. The Albert, to the best of my knowledge, was a true skunk crossed with a special afghan sativa. They re not the same and you can take that info to the bank.

I didn't mention anything about the yield because this is a smoke report, and not a grow report. But she is a chunky devil who likes to throw down long spears of gooey nuggs, most defiantly a good yielder. If you guys get a chance to run her she has needs, special needs. sometimes she'll show you that shes not doing too hot, her leaves will go weird on you and get dotted, but nothing a little TLC doesn't fix.

not just that but thadocta wouldn't be caught "Dead" with a chem cut lol heh, play on deadhead and actually the truth. smoked it the first time with the bald head Jason King. he was all up in it and wanted to know everything about it at the party. i thought it was pretty damn dank and grown well. soo hard to dial in tho, even for the masters. aloha

I smoked it from a dispensary,

hey were calling it something else but It looked and smelled the same. Sweet citrus with an underlying funk smell that was unique. The bud as a whole had its own character that's for sure.

It was a happy go lucky high with a trippy aspect to it. It had a lot of dephth and complexity to the high. I got a tinge of paranioa a couple times. It made me a little spacey at times too. there was the expansive trippy feeling to it like the "space" that my consciousness exists within my head felt larger, like a big room I could play hide and seek from myself in. But it for sure had this "kind," aspect to the high, that has a sunny feel to it, something ive felt from some types of unnamed norcal outdoor bud before but with a trippy aspect layered over it.
