this method doesn't help me, i've tried different strengths at different times.
my lil ones always yellow from the inside out on the leafsets.
even the tiniest amount does this ?

since switched up to bleach.
1ml/44 gallons = .50 ppm
so i drop per 2 gallons every 4-7 days as per snype's thread.

c&p from the thread
Chlorine as a preventative measure
Anyone who doesn’t use live nutrients or supplements in hydroponics, I would advise to keep a residual level of 0.50 PPM Chlorine at all times as a preventative measure against plant pathogens and future root problems. Always remember that too much Chlorine will kill your plants and you never want to put more than 1.0 PPM of Chlorine for large healthy plants. Cuttings and smaller plants are more sensitive to Chlorine and you will want to keep only 0.50 PPM of Chlorine so that you don’t risk killing them. My dropper gives 22 drops / 1 mL of liquid. Before giving Chlorine to small reservoirs you will want to see how many drops per mL your dropper gives so you give a safe amount of Chlorine. My dropper gives a 0.50 PPM of Chlorine at the rate of 1 drop of Clorox Bleach / 2 Gal. To give 0.50 PPM of Chlorine using Clorox Bleach, the equation is 1 mL of Clorox Bleach / 44 Gallons. Always take into account if your tap already has Chlorine in it and adjust your equation. Remember in a well aerated solution, Chlorine naturally disappears in 3-4 days so add in your Chlorine every 4 days as a preventative measure against future root and pathogen problems. Add this to your normal schedule and you will see how hard it is to get root problems again.

i use the same dropper as him, so 22 drops per 1ml

think the droppers hold 3ml total

Any updates from people using this procedure?
Any new info?

Thinking about re testing the shock method and hoping for some new input.

I find moisture dome to be the key to my success, I have used Peat pucks but found the roots grow slower, I have used popsicle makers with a melted in the bottom filled with perlite and sitting in a casserole dish with a couple inches of water and a bubble works awesome.

Peace

2 things, temperature of your medium, humidity. Get those right and use low lighting and no worries. Some people want their clones to root in 5 days (which some often do here, making us all very jealous), but you gotta accept the fact that not every strain will do this. I have a bubblegum that takes 14 days to get nice and some indicas that go a little more quickly. Patience, temps, humidity, low lighting, amount of the medium saturation...all important, but its all about medium temp for me.

You guys are missing the point.. this thread was general discussion for people that have fungi/bacteria problems.
we all know that if you dont have these issues you can throw some cuts in anything and they will take.
plz only comment on the OP's original discussion.

Not trying to be rude to anyone, but plz stick to the topic for US that need it

HOW RUDE!!!

I've never had a problem with bacteria/fungi except when my conditions were bad.

Awesome Post man! Tried cloning with my R/O water and got one crappy root after two weeks out of 70 cuttings. Very embarrased to say that but next time I will try just regular tap water . Thank you!

Anybody taken the plunge on this stuff and can report back?

I've been using Flying Skull Z7 and not thrilled with the results, their solution is to use double/triple the recommended dose even though the bottle says not to use more, more is not better and I'm not wanting to spend the money to use more and more of this stuff until it's as expensive as hygrozyme and every other insanely expensive product out there.

I can't afford an ORP meter, so I'd feel better knowing others have tried his method with good results and how often they are using it.

same here frank, after another bout of nothing rooting for I started on the bleach and I'm loving life. everything I cut is rooting since, 100%. it definitely makes a huge difference for me with my rapid rooters and aerocloner

I had great success with pool shock but even better with dm zone. Really the bottom line on aero cloners is sterilizing them completely between EVERY run. At least that's what getting me 100% over 96 times a mo.

I ordered some of the pool shock mentioned in the first post (found it on amazon for $12 with shipping for 2 bags since I can't find it locally) I just used some regular household bleach for a run and then changed out the res, ran plain water through and then used 2ml/gal of h2o2 for now as I don't really feel too confident with dosing the bleach yet. Would like to hear more users reports on the pool shock and how much they are using.

Is it not safe to use a little h2o2 and chlorine at the same time? When I googled it people were commenting that it gives off a dangerous gas if you do?

I weighed one gram of pool shock and mixed with a gallon of water, it needs to be stored in a light tight container. I would dose a shot glass every couple of days.

If we are talking aero cloner. I still need to completely dissassemble my turbo cloner, run water with a cup of bleach through it for at least 20 minutes. Clean EACH sprayer with a small wire while it's out of the manifold and then reassemble, run with bleach another 10 min. Rinse 2x and load with fresh water, zone and clones. I would attribute my success with it to cleaning it and sterilizing it as much as the zone or shock. I fought with it for months before I started this regemine. Totally hit and miss, now 100%.

I was wondering, not sure if this has been answered before but.. Which type of pool shock do you use? I've searched around a bit add there seems to be stabilised and unstabilised chlorine versions of pool shock, aparently adding them together is a bad thing, so would be interested to know which you were using?
