I've seen him literally 10+ times - I swear he's an alien..
Although it seems like even money whether he'll show up with a band or with a track. :/ The track shows are still awesome, but it's more like watching a guy shred to a track, vs. a band with a shredder.
Either way..
The dude is so damned prolific - so much music out there, and SO diverse! I managed to get two Buckethead tunes played at my wedding.
(Both were from Electric Tears - All in the Waiting and Baptism of Solitude)(You know he also did the score for the Power Rangers movie?! And I think also the Last Action Hero)
He's in my own personal guitar idol HOF - along with Dimebag & Adam Jones..
Edit: Just clicked your link - one of the shows where he plays to a track.. ?! Still fucking amazing, his technical ability and creativity.. I really like the arrangements he chooses. Lurker at the Threshold (1-4) is such a badass set of tunes, with amazing flow and structure and arrangement..
His albums are all over the place, but I really like Pepper's Ghost, Decoding the Tomb of Bansheebot, The Elephant Man's Alarm Clock, and Colma.. Electric Tears and Population Override are up there too, .. But .. It's like a smorgasbord of music-so-good-i-can't-choose
Are you a Primus fan as well? Bucket did a project with Les Claypool, Brain, & Bernie Worrell.
