Yeah, I'm still at it!

Yeah, I'm still at it!

What's up IC! Still at it so here's a update. Daily growth rate is finally back to normal and they look happy and healthy. Pic #1 is SAD#1. Pic#2 is a group shot of the entire garden. Pic #3 is of the 2 SADs basking under the rays of a 400w light. Pic#4 is of the SADs out from under the light. The older they get the more they are starting to resemble each other. SAD #1 has greater node distance with purple branching and a little wider leaf structure. SAD #3 has thinner leaf structure, short node distance, with better side branching do far, and is a slightly lighter shade of green. Last but certainly not least is SAD#3. Structure wise she my favorite plant in the garden at the moment.

Side view of 2 SADs in pic #1. #3 has appears to have better side braching than #1. Pic #2 showing side view of #3. Does this strain yeild better with training and topping or should I just let them be?

u know back a while ago i grabbed 2 packs of black jack.. and ended up having horrible results.. which sucked because up from week 2 of flower to week 6 they looked amazing.. the smell was there.. and then boom.. i was running like 5 other strains at the time.. and then i found a little bud with some bud rot on it.. in 45% humidity with tons of air movement.. i figured shit maybe i got a drop of water on it . or something.. so i pulled it off.. kept the 2 phenos going.. then at week 7 1 pheno was cut down because of mold... then looked threw the colas and found tons of the beginning of bud rot.. on a perfectly healthy plant.. and then pheno 2 .. cut at week 9.. was inspected later.. and bud rot had started too.. looked at roots.. not root rot.. nice healthy plants white roots.. all the other strains were good to go .. lost 4 plants out of a 10 plant harvest.. fucked my situation up for 3 months.. and lost 2/5ths of my clones cuz i couldn't risk it . and never tried there beans again.. even tho man do i really wish i had the money to spend bcause im really attracted to there autos.. ive heard from a few of my buddys that there autos fucking kill it.. amazing resin coverage and yields are great for autos.. but honestly i just don't have the cash right now.. i wish i could afford it . but i got hit with the car breaking down last night.. and its going to cost us 400.. so all the cash i had in my Genetics Savings Jar is spoken for .. until next harvest atleast. !! :(

I´ve topped and trained S.A.D.s in the past with good results in both methods.
I´m even sure that they will do good if you leave them untouched not that i advise this.
Best of luck for the girls

Thanks Jaypp! I'm extremely proud of the 2 SADs and 1 Bubba that I was able to nurse back to health! There was times I didn't think they would make it but they pulled through. At one time I would have just tossed em all and popped more seeds. I knew it was my fault they got stunted becase I was using a new grow space in less than idea conditions. Having started a thread in this forum also added a little pressure. I only lost plants on one other run due to me starting my seedlings in a new soil that was too hot. As I stated previously having gone through this adversity has given me a new found respect for the plant. I will enjoy this harvest more than any other previously!! Ill update Friday. Happy growing IC!

ya I totally get you.. that's why I decide to Watch tons of journals and test grows.. and research strains a ton before just spending money now.. but ive been lookin at there Autos lately .. and had a few friends grow them with great results.. I just want to find a few autos that actually yield... I have tried about 20 diff auto strains.. and so far only 1 did as good as they description said.. and still the yield was good but the bud.. wasn't up to par with the reg seeds. but I watch very closely to all the forums .. and keep myself informed.. cuz once I find a good candidate going to be spending from 500-1500 on seeds. every year I get good amount of xmas money. so I spend that on seeds .. and I save change for my genetics also..

some people save change for vacation.. I save my change and 1s for seeds LOL.

sry for hijacking your thread bro..

I know I really LOVE this hobby! Every time I see that first female preflowers I feel like a little kid at Christmas time! Saw some on SAD#1 yesterday. Topped on at either the 6th or 7th node then I could see a mini crown of tiny hairs. Upon further inspection I could notice the female preflowers that the hairs were comi from. Topped both SADs yesterday. May LST also but I'm thinking about it. Check root growth also and looks like its almost time to pot up again soon. I want to try to finish them in 2 gal buckets. Just pondering whether I should pot up to the final 2 gal buckets or get some 1 gal buckets and pot up to them then the 2 gallons.

Quick update

Hey IC! Just a quick update. Both SADs are in their final containers. Both a have topped and SAD #1 has been lstd also. Pic #1 is SAD #1 as of today. Second pix is SAD#3 today. Last shows SAD#3 one day after transplant. You can def see the growth difference. SAD#3 appears to liked the topping while I think #1 not as much. Her growth as slowed again. Went a tad heavy on the ferts and had to flush plants. SAD #3. begging for N so next watering will give a light dose of nutes. Plan on vegging for 7-10 more days then I will begin flowering. My grow skills are rusty as hell but I'm having fun! Happy growing IC!

These will be the last veg pics. The next time I share these ladies wity you buds will be forming. SAD#3 is def the bushiest plant I've grown! I wonder how common this pheno is? Would love to find it again, keep it in better health and clone her. I'm considering a couple of more weeks veg and pot up to 5 gal buckets to help up the yield since I already spent time, money & energy. Everything in the garden is either short or tied down so I have time just need more patience now. Wish me luck! Happy growing IC!!

Maybe you can give her some magnesium
Looks like she can use some of it.
Good luck and keep it sweet

Okay, one last peak at SAD#3

Okay, one last peak at SAD#3

Was bored so I figured what the hell! SAD#3 has been transplanted into a 5 gal bucket. She is happy, green, and poised to pump out some buds shorty. SAD#1 is hanging in there, but nowhere near as vigorous as #3. Hopefully in flower she will wxplode, seen it happen before. On another note Happy Thanksgiving to everyone celebrating the upcoming holiday.

one last peak @ SAD#1 before the buds come.

one last peak @ SAD#1 before the buds come.

As you can see she is much happier than the last time you saw her. She's only about 10 inches tall on day #6 of flower, only my Peoyte Purp is shorter in the garden. SAD#1 has the fastest onset on flowers starting to form. My grow skills were def rusty but so it took a little time to get in tune with the plants and listen to
what they're asking for. I still got 2 SAD seeds left so be on the look out for " Edro Meets SAD Reloaded" sometime on the horizon. Thanks for peaking in!!!!
