I flood my hydro table at least 4 or 5 times a day but keep in mind im in week 6 now. I use pyganic spray to get rid of the bugs and stuff around my ladies a little of pyganic goes a long way but its pretty spendy. I would plan on flooding your table at least 4 times a day once in the am just before lights come on then just before lunch time then again just before dinner time and once more right before they go to bed. so i usually water at 8am 12pm 4pm and 8pm. basically every 4 hours is how i do it then let em dry out all night. i use the flora series for my nutrients not really sure about the canna nutrients but let me know how they seem to work for you

Love it!! Hope it goes well. Mind you don't scorch them. Glad you swapped for reflectors over the cool tubes. Just check the lines are not blocked up, one at a time.

So many things. I'll keep it short since I just had to retype this.

1. cooltubes are BOSS. End of story :p
2. your pre-transplant pics looked like they had low nighttime temps. The purple stems are a giveaway. It slows growth but shouldn't cause any lasting damage.
3. your plants look like they haven't grown roots since they were put in. What kind of hydro system are you using? If you're using some sort of wick or shallow culture setup then that might not be a problem but if those are ebb and flow buckets or some DWC hybrid then you might have a problem with the way your hydro system's working. Buckets getting filled to different levels is kind of a big problem, especially since your taproots are so small. Either way, it's time to put a veg starter dose of nutes in. If they take off when they get fed then their roots are well started, but if they don't you have some problem with your design.

Also keep in mind hydroton doesn't hold water well. you'll have to flood more times per day with it. I'd guess six would be about good (every 2 hours) but you might need to go higher than that.

thanks for that, i was having issue with the flood and drain system i think i have solved this now, the system seems to flood ok, im flooding 6 times a day every couple of hours. The roots are now poking out the bottom of the 5 inch rockwool which is good. i have added nuts to this one. ok so a couple more questions.

1. the lights are they at the right height.
2. if the roots are not reaching the bottom can i move them down, i mean the rockwool.
3. im using canna nuts can i add anything from this to help them out.
4. im still vegging at the moment how much longer should i do that
5. i can raise the temp in the room if i need to ?
6. anything else i can do to help them out ?

sorry for a lot of questions.

questions mean your learning. rule of thumb for your lights. if you put your hand right under the light just above the plant and its not overly hot than your light is a good distance away. you will be able to feel the heat just above your plants if your light is too close. as for the roots just let em go they will grow as far as they need to and will eventually all reach the bottom. as for the vegging i usually let mine veg for about 3 or 4 weeks than swap my light over and start budding them. my hydro room averages about 90 degrees throughout the day and drops to like 55 at night. making your room too warm or too cold can be hazardous to your ladies and might not keep them happy if their are lots of changes or a big change in temp. instead of the co2 drip thing you have going on i just go sit in the room with my ladies for a few hours for multiple times throughout the day. not sure how much that helps but my ladies all look very happy at a good 8-17 inches tall throughout my hydro..

No need for apologies.

1. hold the back of your hand under the light about two feet under and slowly work your way up. wave it around a bit side to side to make sure. At some point it should start to feel like you'd get a sunburn if you stayed there too long. stick the plants a couple inches below that point. Might even help to hang a string or something cut to that point so you can see when to raise and lower the lights.
2. I didn't realize you had rockwool inside the coco. Keep the rockwool higher and stop fooling with it. You don't want to be jostling the root systems. They have delicate parts that are usually invisible to the naked eye and are easily damaged.
3. Canna is a top of the line product. I've known several people who used it for years with amazing results. Just stick to light doses and you'll be fine. Growing pot's a waiting game.
4. At least 2-3 more weeks.
5. What's the temp at now? you want the night/day temps to be fairly consistent and the day temps at 78 degrees + or - 2.
6. Don't dig into the pots, don't mess with em. RELAX. You have 3 months till harvest and you're gonna burn yourself out stressin like this.

after 4 weeks, some seem to be doing really well some a little slower, any extra advice ?

Will mainly be down to variation in phenotype. Take cuttings of the best one as they develop and then you will have consistency on the next run!

should they grow still ? but just be a little slower ? if so can i help them

Growth is dependant upon phenol type amongst other things. If it was me, particularly with the pots where you have two plants and one is much smaller, I'd be inclined to pull the runt to give the dominant plant more root/bud space.

J

they look like they have got bigger today :) shall i just let them be ?

Up to you. My only concern is the amount of space each plant has for their roots having 2 per bucket. If you're going to keep them small and sea of green them, then you'll probably be cool. If you wanted bigger plants I think it may get a little cramped.

Some of those haven't grown AT ALL. That's not pheno variation. My guess would be the roots haven't reached water level yet and they're just getting by on the little moisture the hydroton's passively wicking.

In the future it usually works better to start them in smaller pots and transplant to 5 gallons once they have a healthy root mass built up. Going straight into a 5 gallon slows growth and I'm willing to bet it caused this problem.

As far as cutting them down, that's your choice. I probably wouldn't unless they still looked like that right before the flip to flowering. As it is they are barely growing, so they're not taking up root space or nutrients. No harm in leaving them where they are and waiting to see what happens.

Might want to try hand watering the small ones from the top for a few days. See if that helps give em a bit of extra juice to stretch their roots downward.

They are looking very good :) good job man! The attention to detail seems to be paying off for you. That's about 10x better than my first grow. I flowered out two males by accident my first time and got 1/2 ounce of bud and some seeds from a 400w HPS >.<
