That reminds me, dans, you had said the other day you switched your Rhizo for KLN.

In what way? They are different products for different things so I'm curious. Also, because KLN is for ornamental plants only I would hope you only use it to the point of a cut having roots and not any further.

How do you figure they're different products for different things ???

KLN .... .009 - .011 - .006
.009% nitrogen
.011% phosphate (P2O5)
.006% potash (K2O )
.025% B1 vitamins
derived from amonium nitrate , potassium nitrate , ammonium phosphate , potassium phosphate

the only difference is the phosphate , B1 & the N & K values are lower & made from salts .& 40$ cheaper a bottle !!!

are you sure your looking at the right product 3rd ??? this is from Dyna-gro..... KLN liquid rooting concentrate ..... no where does it say for Ornimental plants only !!!

the root growth from this stuff has been amazing !!!

Third if your LOK is that good you better try and save her. You can root a cutting from bud. I got one rooted but would not revert after 2 months it was still alive but would not grow. Another one worked perfectly.. Just change the water every 10 days and some KLN you should be able to save her.

KLN is only for rooting. it has no other use IMO...It is a Rooting Hormone


I have a lot of seed starts.. PP,PPXQ BX1,GGXQ,GSC X Q,Diesel Fire, SPG, SLS. I had to pop some of the older seeds DF,SPG,PPXQBX1......I have around 30 up.

Third, ive taken a couple clones in the 3rd n 4th week of flowering with my Romulan Diesel....took a few extra days to root, and then reveg, but holy branching! its like i topped it 4 times already without doing a thing. I now take clones at the 3rd week for my scrog and it works great

I'll try to save the LOK but she's so finicky, by far the most difficult plant I grow.

Well she was done at day 49, it's now day 54. Just more done now lol.

Haven't had the time to get to her but she WILL start coming down tonight. Trimmers are over for the night and will dig in tomorrow morning and work all day.

I appreciate that brutha I really do !!! But i think with the amount of people using it & only using it to root cuts .... i should be fine . Hell i've been smokin cigarettes for 35 years .... a few chems aren't gonna matter that much

Okay cool, so you're not using it all the way thru flower as one might use Rhizo. I use it for rooting as well.

First time I've got these beautiful colors on this girl. My temps don't go lower than 70 at night because of my dehuey running all night.

Sad thing is I can't keep the humidity lower than 70% at night with a thousand dollar Santa Fe.

I check the min/max every day at lights on and then clear it. Room goes max 82 degrees 70% humidity, min 70 degrees 50% humidity.

Lights on it's always at 70% and I have my controller set for 50%. Not real happy about that.

May be in the market for a new Santa Fe.

When will it stop???

Was asked via pm about the KLN so I took a pic, not to harp on it but this is what my bottle says.

Like I said, I use it as well. I think I just misunderstood when dans said he was using it in place of Rhizo.

Check the structure of this girl. It's the same as the pics I just posted. Topped once and she opens up like a cheap Vegas dancer. No pipe cleaners necessary.

Did I mention she has the most intense fruit smell and taste of anything I've ever grown.

Here is the most current scrog. These tops were snapped and laid down on the net a week ago.

Cant keep a good girl down. Day 19.

Oh, she'll be a floppy bitch for sure but oh will she yield!

The label has been changed to indicate KLN as a pesticide do to the levels of NAA Hormone. There are other vendors that use NAA as well.

Use and regulation

NAA is a synthetic plant hormone in the auxin family and is an ingredient in many commercial plant rooting horticultural products; it is a rooting agent and used for the vegetative propagation of plants from stem and leaf cutting. It is also used for plant tissue culture.[2]

The hormone NAA does not occur naturally. In the United States, under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), products containing NAA require registration with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as pesticides.

Specific Uses of NAA..

NAA is widely used in agriculture for various purposes. It is considered to be only slightly toxic but when at higher concentrations it can be toxic to animals. This was shown when tested on rats via oral ingestion at 1000-5900 mg/kg. [3] NAA has been shown to greatly increase cellulose fiber formation in plants when paired with another phytohormone called gibberellic acid. [4] Because it is in the auxin family it has also been understood to prevent premature dropping and thinning of fruits from stems. It is applied after blossom fertilization. Increased amounts of it can actually have negative effects however, and cause growth inhibition to the development of plant crops. It has been used on many different crops like apples, olives, oranges, potatoes, and various other hanging fruits. In order for it to obtain its desired effects it must be applied in concentrations ranging from 20-100 ug/mL. [5] In micro propagation of various plants NAA is typically added to a media containing nutrients essential to the plants survival. It is added to help induce root formation in various plant types. It can also be applied by spraying it on to plants and which is typical in agricultural use. It is prohibited in many areas to use it in high concentrations due to the health concerns towards humans and other animals.

Most of these "similar" products already being sold in Cali are way overkill compared to KLN from Dyna-Gro and two of them have massive alcohol concentrations, Dip 'N Grow ( EtOH 3.3-19 % & Isopropyl 2.0 - 12.7%) and Wood's (36.67% Isopropyl). Also concentrations of the hormones 100-1000 times the natural concentrations found in the plant.

Cali's state label regulations are a joke and they like to waste peoples time and money.....as is the USEPA which recently approved KLN for production and sale in Cali, they are now just finalizing the details to satisfy the state requirements.. I hope this info helps. I would not use stuff that could make someone sick so I make sure its ok to use. ...

And the lok, if you wanna save it, clip a bud and try and root it. Even if its a top it will eventually reveg if it roots. Well, it can. Ive seen some pretty crazy reveg shots of fully matured tops with new veg growth shooting out of the top of the bud. Theres a node in the bud somewhere, even if you cant see it.

She seems to be something special. The folks that get her do ask about her again. Not so with most of what I have grown. Usually it is just "whatever you got will be just fine". Variety is nice so I don't mind people not latching on to a particular plant but this one is special and folks that try her know this.

Taste 8-9 if I'm honest
High 8-9 honestly
Structure 10
Ease of trimming 7-8
Quality of trim 9-10

I could go on and on...

Never tried the Hanis, actually never heard of it but I'm not too familiar with most breeder stuff out there.

Got the RHS on a whim for 20 bucks on a 4/20 sale at seedbay. Had heard it won 2nd place sativa at the denver canna cup so I bought it.

Got 9 sativas in that pack and then this gal.

Still got my best sativa from that pack to run yet as well.

really cant say enough good about the glue,its so grower and smoker friendly,the bag appeal is through the roof,just on looks alone most people are sold and then when they crack a bag open and that big grin creeps across their faces you know yah got em!

from a growers perspective it roots quickly and abundantly,grows quickly in veg,is very forgiving of mistakes and bounces back from them quickly.enters into flowering rapidly and begins frost production immediately and is more than done at 63 days,does very well yield wise considering its some of the finest bud i have ever smoked,its easy to trim....oh i could go on and on about it....the bad part,it is very floppy late in flower....very flopp




just got done out in the garden,they had some really nice blanket flowers and a blue mexican sage and a nice columbine....the butterflies are going absolutely berserk in the yard,just dozens of them everywhere...

one thing I know is she will be still going strong when I am dead and gone, one of you youngsters do me a favor and put my ashes in a pot with a gg4, make me usefull . lol
