Pics from both sides of the fence today. Ace Seeds Pure Purple Haze x Malawi & Ace Seeds Orient Express. The topped Purple Haze Malawi is now about 6 1/2 feet tall and still stretching. Its really elegant, and I love the structure - so I decided to give it the entire LED and let it go as tall as it wants off the screen. Here's one of the smaller side branches at about 4.5 weeks.

The ultra dense Orient Express (china yunnan x vietnam black) I have in flower is just finishing up. Probably another 10-14 days left before chop. Strong creamy smell of earth/woodish and dank. Solid producer as well, one of the larger yielding plants I've run, which is saying a lot for a plant under 6 CFLs.

it's gotten even better. day before flip i had consistent 13.5 and a couple leaves that hit 14.

how? easy. shred a fan leaf. put it in a garlic press. squeeze a few drops of the juice onto a refractometer. cheap ones are ~$20 on ebay and work fine. make sure you get the ones for brewing and wine making though. the automotive one will require you to do some arithmetic to convert to brix %.





1. be patient

2. avoid the clubs unless you already have broad mites and PM.

3. avoid with extreme prejudice a particular vendor on craigslist whose number probably ends in 7420. forrealz.

4. consider starting seeds. this site was built to attract seed vendors and while it's far from perfect, they've got some good ones like ace and tom hill. besides, pheno hunting is fun.

5. stick around this thread. post pictures. earn trust. don't be pushy or impetuous or act like anyone owes you anything. maybe the gods smile on you or something.

6. be patient.

I come here from the PNW asking you southern Californians about.. recently I was given a choice between a handful of crosses to test out and out of all of those I'm interested in the ones with these three mothers...

I have no information on flavor, function, lineage, etc; except that while searching myself saw that Adub tested high. So I'm just wondering and asking you southern Californians about these moms I know nothing of, I searched extensively myself before asking I'd hate to feel as if I was wasting anyone's time and the posts would be here for anyone else like myself wondering.
